The island

I look out at the sea and enjoy the nice saltwater smell carried by the wind and try holding in my puke from having to travel on a fucking ship again. I spent so much time in the previous world on ships that I could man an entire galleon myself, but I don't fucking want to.

A week ago, the queen told us that experience island became active again and it would help in preparing for the waves. Shield boy's party still needs experience for levels so that they can put power behind their skills and do even more damage to the monsters during the waves.

I thought it would be a good opportunity to get Fitoria used to our group and up to Sophia's level. She may be many times stronger than the dinosaur and three idiot heroes, but she has nothing on the murder floof that lives for head pats and praise. Sophia has gotten Fitoria in on the head pats and praising sessions so that she can become more "motivated" for training.

Our training has gotten more intense with summoned elementals on par with ourselves. The good thing about using mana in the air as a power source is that you can use magic many times stronger that if it was all in an unstable core in your body. Fitoria was shocked at first because she observed the tears throughout the world and knows how powerful the elementals are.

We were with the shield hero about to embark on a ship to the island when the captain denied me entry because I was a lamia, which I couldn't be happier about. I dragged shield hero's group with me off the boat and noticed two people following from afar.

I stopped at an empty dock with everyone present and popped into the gate for a few minutes, before popping out.

"So, what now?", shield boy asks, and I happily answer him with a golden portal opening over the water and a futuristic magic boat dropping down with a splash.

Everyone gawks at the sight of a medium sized boat appearing from a golden portal and splashing people too close to the water. I feel those that were following us before approach to start a conversation.

"Wow would you look at that! Not everyday that you see a ship that big appear out of nowhere.", one of the two say in awe of the sight. They look like an adventuring couple ready to hunt monsters on experience island. The man has a scythe while the woman has a staff so their roles in their party are obvious.

He talks about how they were late for their ship to experience island and asked if we could let them ride with us. I'm positive that he was going to take the boat I was denied entry since I saw him in line. I don't know what he wants but my instincts tell me it isn't harmful and just wants to take a trip on my awesome boat.

I agree and wave the money they wanted to pay for the ride. I told them if they wanted to pay me back, they should party up with us to hunt more monsters on the island. I want the bodies of boss monsters on the island for my gate because I hear they are great materials for equipment.

It takes a day and a half to travel the distance the other boat was going to take almost three weeks. This isn't surprising because I made it with advanced hydro jets that use water to propel us faster than regular motors and the stupid sails most ships use in this world.

The guards at the docks are shocked when a ship without any sails moves into the port. I give them another shock by lifting the boat out of the water, drying it off with magic and then storing it in a golden portal.

We make our way into the town entrance and read the rules of the island before finding an inn to stay at. There are a couple hours before sunset, so shield boy spent time talking with the couple at a bar on the first floor of the inn.

My partners and I enjoy a nice dip in the lake we found in this world a while back before heading to bed early.
