Chapter Four

Ally and Maggie sat inside their home, yellow walls with grey swirl designs display as a form of artistic talents living in the structure. The table was white, round, and could fit up to four with ease, although, one chair was missing. Ally sat on her chair, her knuckles supporting her face up in a lazy posture. The smell of earl grey tea ruminates around the kitchen and dining room. The kettle pot screeched with a loud tone, indicating the tea was ready. Two green teacups with grey trimmings are sitting on matching tea saucers. Maggie grabbed the kettle and walked toward her sister, pouring the hot water into the teacups, the earl grey packets already resting inside, the water mixed with the teabag, giving off a more pleasant smell, relaxing the girls. "Thanks, Maggie." Ally spoke with a tired tone. "It's okay." Maggie returned to the kitchen, placing the kettle on the burner; Maggie shut the stove off and returned back to her seat, sitting next to her younger sister.

"Now, what happened for you to get detention - again? Honestly, Ally, you must stop getting into trouble. It is not worth wrecking your future." Ally only shrugged at Maggie's word of advice. Now, Ally doesn't, by all means, resent Maggie, but she is tired of the parental figure's advice. "It should be wise for you to put rest your thoughts of Wonderland. It happened five years ago. The Jabberwacky, the Red Ruby Queen of Hearts, the White Rabbit. It's gone." Ally only told her Wonderland secrets to Maggie. During this time, Maggie was still a child herself, but, a bigger child while Ally was twelve. Maggie believed in her story, back then. Now, Maggie was grown up. Her beliefs and thoughts disappeared as time went on, but they still remained with Ally. The older sister sipped from her teacup, "It will be nothing but memories, dear sister. Dreams that make you, Ally Liddell." Ally put on a quick smile before they disappeared again.

Ally was in no mood to talk.
