Over thirty years ago, the grand battle had quashed the Neanderthal tribe's resistance, with the majority of valiant warriors sacrificed on the battlefield. The few who survived were now few and far between, and those were already withering with age.
The younger generation, for the most part, lusted after the comfortable life that peace brought, indulging in pleasures and idleness. Even in the reserves, they could not be bothered to stay and eke out a living, let alone remember the brave martial traditions of the Neanderthal tribe.
