Chapter eleven

Switched gears suppose to spice things up.

"Young master, I do suggest you wake up," I replied.

"Hmm? Ami, give me five minutes." He replied.

"Aki, just get up. I'm not dealing with your angry sister again." I replied.

"Ami?" She asked.

"Yes, Miss," I replied.

"Is my lazy brother up yet?" She asked.

"Ah, no miss. I was trying to wake him up you see." I replied.

"Hmm? What is the reason you're in here, Akio?" He asked.

"No reason just telling you, mother very worried and angry that you're late for breakfast." She Said.

"Ami, get some food and serve it in here." He replied.

"Yes," I replied.

I walked into the kitchen and gathered some food and was walking back to the room. When madame stopped me in the hallway.

"Cielo? What are you doing with that food?" She asked.

"Serving it to the Young master. Madame, he has asked of me." I replied.

"That's none sense, he should have eaten with us." She said.

"Madame, I must be going. Please excuse me." I replied.

"Hold it, You May does not leave till I say so." She Said.

I noticed Yuki, walking down the hallway and noticed me, He smiled a little then noticed the madame then his gaze turned cold.

"Mother, why are you holding up Ami?" He asked.

"Because you always ask him to do simple things for you, and besides why does it matter what I do to him." She replied.

"Well for one he was supposed to be in my room minutes ago, two I don't like how you always bother him for such stupid reasons." He replied.

I was silent and said nothing at the moment, it was annoying to see them arguing over what I shall do.

"So can I like the movie? This is quite annoying standing here when my legs are getting stiff." I muttered.

"Yes, You can." He replied.

"Thank you," I muttered.

"You don't need to worry about her, I'll be having that food in a moment." He replied.

"Yes, as you wish," I Said.

"Oh, and Ami. You can have the day off if you'd like." He Said.

"Yes. I would love to." I replied, "Here is your food, I will be off there are some herbs I'd like to collect before tonight."

"Tonight? What's tonight?" He asked.

"Well, Young master. It's Your sister's 10th Birthday and It's a big deal. I have herbs to collect for making medicine then I have to attend the party, you as well I might add." I replied "Anyways, I must be on my way, and do tread carefully around town for a couple of days. I hear there's been quite some drama downtown."

I left with a hat on my head and walked down to the shop.

"Hikaru? You got what I need?" I asked.

"Yep, an Anyways? When you gonna tell your little man that you're a vampire?" He asked.

"Hmm? Some day won't I." I replied, "And thanks for the stuff as always, here's the money."

"I gotta wonder how you able to pay for it when that old lady barely pays you a normal amount? Do you work a side job?" He asked.

"Eh? You could say that." I replied, "Or maybe it's something even better."

"Bye now." He replied.

I walked back to the manor to see the Young miss at the door.

"Greetings Young miss," I replied.

"Cielo, what's in the bag?" She asked.

"Herbs, Young miss. I don't know why you care all of a sudden." I replied.

"You always go to town, once a week. I wanna go to." She replied.

"Um..sorry, Young miss. It's not great for you to go." I spoke.

"Hmm? Why not?" She asked.

"Well you see there's been news that a...gang is guarding the whole place making people pay a protection fee, to prevent their shops from closing." I replied hesitantly "So...you shouldn't walk around out there for a while, especially when you're new to the place and could get lost or mess with the wrong people as well."

"So how come you all okay?" She asked.

Well, I can't tell her that I run the show so I'll do this...

"I've been living in that place since I was born, everybody knows me and stuff," I replied.

"I see, that why you talk all funny like." She replied.

"Eh? I don't. You people are the ones who talk all...polite to people you despise just cause of rank." I replied.

"Well it's been this way since nobility was established, there's nothing we could do even if we wanted to." She replied.

"Anyways Young miss, I should get to my room and put these away before tonight. I'm afraid I'm quite busy and seem to run on a clock here." I spoke.

"I wanna come with you, to your room I mean. I've never seen my brother's favorite little butler." She replied.

"Very well, other than the servants and your brother. Not many have seen my room." I Said.

I walked down the hall to the very last room on the left and opened the door. It was not as big as the young masters room but wasn't small like the servant's rooms. (Servant rooms are the size of a one-bedroom apartment, while Cielo's room is the size of a two-bedroom apartment)

"It's small compared to you and Young masters rooms," I replied.

"It's full of books and other stuff." She muttered.

"You know I'm surprised you let her, in the room. I mean, you never let anyone in there. You only let me in once." He Said.

"I didn't expect to see you, I should probably clean up. Give me a moment." I replied.

"No need, Anyways I wanna ask, about the herbs. What do you need them for anyway?" He asked.

"There's a friend of mine, he's a..sick and needs the herbs to keep him healthy and where he lives they ain't available so I buy them and walk all the way there and drop them off," I explained.

"I didn't think you had friends, anyways how long till you have to drop them off?" He asked.

"Say, five hours at most. But at most I'll drop them off now. So I'll see you later, Young miss, You master." I replied.

"I'm going with you, I'd like to see the person who you care so much about to walk a long time for." He Said.

"Alright, But fair warning. The place we go to is not all that welcoming of people." I replied.

We had walked about for 20 minutes or so, lost track of time.

"Hey, Akio. Here's the thing you need. Don't do something stupid for a while, I gotta party to attend to that I don't want to go but gotta." I replied.

"Be careful, danger...someone kills you." He spoke.

"Kay will do," I Said.

I left well We left and walked back to the mansion.

"Young master, I do suggest you wear this. Madame will kill me for making sure you didn't wear the right dress code." I replied.

"Your accent changed, that's odd. Anyways sure fine only to make sure you don't get messed with my mother." He replied.

"Well I would hope so, besides Akio thinks someone is after me. I do hope that doesn't ruin the party, your sister would be quiet sad if anything goes wrong." I replied, "Then again who would dare, in this day and age."

"Ami, You shouldn't worry about that. I'll find out who it is, and didn't you know my sister to be married to the only son of the King. I hear he's here to give her a big gift for the big ten." He replied.

"Now, Young master as much as you'd like to gossip, I'm afraid we must get downstairs at some point or another," I replied.

"Very well." He Said.

He left the room and walked down the start as I followed behind. He was standing in the corner as I stood next to him.

"You should be a little social, Young master." I replied, "Say dance with one of the ladies, maybe find your perfect match tonight."

"I don't like dancing, it's pointless." He replied.

"Then...would you like to dance with me?" I asked.

"You? That's not right." He replied.

"I lead and you learn then dance with another, simple really," I replied.

"You know how to dance?" He asked.

"Let see..dance, sing, play piano, shoot a gun, be a server at an inn, bounty hunter, chef, butler, man servant...that's all I could think of from the top of my head," I replied.

"You know what? You are an pain sometimes." He replied.

"Cheeky, Young master, Cheeky." I corrected.
