Chapter 4

In a land surrounded by dense forest;

One could see a skeleton running at a fast pace towards the jungle. This was Adrian our skeleton MC. Currently he was running away from something.

Behind him was a large bunny like creature. This creature was as big as a human and looked just like a bunny. It had a horn on its forehead and it's eyes were crimson red. It has a maw full of razor sharp teeth. Overall it looked quite terrifying.

Adrian went inside the jungle with the demon bunny in hot pursuit. He quickly took a few turns and reached a open field inside the forest. He ran past the field and stopped at the other end. The bunny also came out of the forest and saw that Adrian. It jumped high in the air and reached the centre of the field. It was expecting to jump again but it was for naught as the ground under it's momentum cracked and it fell into a deep pit which was left behind due to it's weight and force.

O. the other side Adrian was looking at this with a non existent smug look. He went at the edge of the hole and looked down at the dying bunny.

" It looks like you got wrecked" Adrian said as showed his middle finger to the bunny which was bleeding to death.

After the bunny died he heard a notification.

* Ding* [ Monster Bunny { low level } Slayed]

[ Do you want to absorb it's essence Y/N]

Seeing this he remembered how much of a pain this dammed creature was. He has spend days and nights to plan and take down the bunny.

He sighed and answered yes while he remembered the what happened in the last few days.

Adrian had come out of the cave but what welcomed him was not something he believed. The cave was on a hill and below him were vast stretch of land filled with patches of jungle. The sky was dyed in purple colour with dark clouds here and there. One could also see a giant moon shining but there weren't any stars in the sky.

"Hey system what form of life forms I can find in this world??"

*Ding* [ There are various creatures and races in this dungeon like fairies, monsters, demonic beasts, Undead creatures, Demons and even humans.]

"Humans??..... Are there really humans in this dangerous place?? How can they be here?" He was quite intrigued knowing that there could also be humans in this dungeon.

*Ding* [ The humans can be Chosen ones like the host of the system or at times there can be people from Ark who are pulled into this dungeon by sudden spatial distortions.]

"Oh so it's like that." Adrian said as he thought about something.

"Hey are my colleagues and boss also in this dungeon if yes how can I find them?" He suddenly asked.

*Ding* [ It's possible that they might be here or they can be in a different dungeon. As for finding them you have to do it yourself.]

Adrian sighed at this and asked s few more questions to the system as he continued to move towards the jungle. He asked about the dungeon like who or what made it and for what purpose. And how could one leave the dungeons. The System answered him by saying that the dungeons were created by a mysterious godly entity about whom no one knew about. As for the purpose or the dungeon the system only knew that it was to train the chosen ones. The system also revealed that there was a dimensional gate which connected all the dungeons to the world of Ark through which one could travel the dungeon or leave it. This dimensional gate was present somewhere in this dungeon and Adrian had to find it. It also said that I'd one has powerful spatial manipulation technique or powerful teleportation then they could also leave the dungeon on their own without the need of the dimensional gate.

Thinking about it he found a new goal and that was to find a powerful teleportation ability which could cross dimensions.

He then decided that it was necessary to become stronger if he ever wanted to get out of this place or get the teleportation ability as no one would serve it on a plate to him.

So he decided to search for targets in the forest which he was inside now. He started to slowly move around searching for creatures he could kill to gain stat points or skills.

At this time when he was sarching for them, one would actually jump out. When he was looking for some of his prey he heard a rustling sound from the nearby bushes. He looked at bushes as he picked up a stock and slowly moved towards it.

*Swoosh* But before he could react something jumped out from the bushes and moved towards him at a blinding speed. It reached behind him and stopped.

"What the...?" Adrian could only say before he looked down and saw that he was missing his left arm. He slowly turned around and say that there stood a Bunny with a daemonic appearance. It was as large as a human being and had a long horn on its forehead. It's eyes were crimson and his maw was filled with sharp irregular teeth. Currently he had a skeleton arm in its mouth and was looking at Adrian with hate.

*Ding* [ Monster Bunny { Level}]

He saw the notification and cursed inwardly. He wanted to run away but before he could dobm that the bunny moved once again. It aimed it's horn at Adrian's back and putting all its power in its hind legs, shot like a arrow.

"Oh Shi..." Adrian couldn't even complete his sentence before he blacked out. The bunny had hit him dead centre in his back which complete shattered his bones and his entire body exploded. The broken pieces scattered everywhere on the ground.

After killing it's enemy the bunny sniffed around and it couldn't feel any movements. It then slowly hopped away into the deep forest leaving behind a dark silence.

After one hour;

One could see a skeleton lying on the ground surrounded by trees. At his time the hollows of his eyes flickered as a green fire lit up inside it. The skeleton sunndenly sat up and his nonexistent chest heaved up and down as he checked his body. If he had heartbeat or skin then people would be able to hear his heartbeat or see how he was sweating profously. This was Adrian who had just resurrected.

*Ding* [You have resurrected]

Seeing the notification he quickly saw opened his status screen.

{Absorption- The ability to absorb the essence and souls of beings slayed by the Chosen One. Any random stat increases by absorbing essence of a fallen foe. Can also obtain a random skill of the foe.

Resurrection- Can resurrect innumerable amount of times if killed. Each resurrection takes twenty four hours.

*Note- Resurrection require 5 points of MP to resurrect each time.*

Undead Physiology- You are already dead. You can't eat, sleep or feel. It also gives you limited immortality as you won't die because you are already dead.}]

And as expected he saw that 5 points of MP has been consumed to resurrect him.

"System tell me how am I completely fine. I clearly remember that my body completely shattered??" He asked the system.

*Ding* [ The 'Ressurection' skill works by Re-creating your body if it's completely destroyed and put you soul back inside your fixed body by consuming your magic power.

*Note- If your soul is destroyed then you can never resurrect again.]

Seeing this he nodded his head. He had to get careful against beings who could harm his soul.

"Next question system, does my magic power permanently decrease after each resurrection." He wanted to know if his magic would decrease with each ressurection or not.

*Ding* [ No your MP will not decrease permanently. It will recover in enough time. But be careful not to completely use up your magic as if you died with zero points of magic inside you then you will go into a slumber of 10 years to recover your magic.]

Seeing this notification he sighed. He knew that his resurrection skill was one of the most broken skill in his arsenal. He could resurrect unlimited number of times. The only thing he has to be careful is that he doesn't consume his MP completely.

"Alright it's time for revenge" Adrian said clenching his fists. How could he let that bunny get away with killing him. He was going to kill it and absorb it and absorb it's essence to grow stronger.
