Amira's pov

"Easy…"

I couldn't see his face due to the rain preventing me from looking upwards but I kind of recognize the voice.

It was the same guy who went to the shop yesterday afternoon. If I remember correctly, his name was Taehyun.

He gently moved his strong arms underneath my neck to support me while reporting the accident to the authorities.

He was being advised about the do's and don'ts when a female elder passing at our left side suddenly yelled in front of us, taking my attention away from him.

"There's a woman on top of the car! Someone please help her before that thing explodes!"

"We can't stay here." The guy began scooping my body up and glided back into his car.

I held his shirt by the chest and begged, "please save my friend, she needs immediate assistance."

"I'm sorry about your friend but she's too far gone. Human body won't be able to withstand that much blow. I need to take you away from here or else you will die too." He put me at the backseat and swiftly locked the seatbelt.

"No… please, please she might still survive, she's a strong woman she'll live!" I yelled while trying to break away but the seatbelt was somehow jammed and I have no power to take it off.

I cried my heart out watching him leave the area back to the hills when I saw someone jumped atop the collision, picked Lara's body up like nothing and left before the explosion happened.

I flinched at the air pressure sweeping the car's windows and leaving a small crack at the back side.

I thought I was just seeing things due to head trauma but when the driver who saved me slowly stopped the car at the middle of the empty uphill street because a guy in black suits carrying a body was standing a couple of meters away, I knew I wasn't hallucinating.

"Hey! What are you doing?!" I screamed at him stepping on the gas as if he's willing to kill the people outside.

I gasped as soon as I realized it was Beomgyu who's carrying Lara's body on his arms at the slide of the wipers over the windshield and disappeared the next second.

I'm not sure now if what I'm seeing should get me believing but the driver did stop and yet there's no sign left that Beomgyu was actually even there.

I think my brain is hurting more than the other parts of my body. Definitely in shambles 'cause I'm letting another stranger drag me to hell.

"Woah!" I got surprised when the left side of the car was ripped apart and Beomgyu showed up with his drenched auburn brown hair.

"Shit!" That was the driver's last word after Beomgyu managed to tear the seatbelt off of my body and pulled me out before the car screeched to a full halt.

"B-Beomgyu…" I called at him but he didn't answer as he jumped towards the woods. His grip is firm, however, I still had to wrap my hands around his cold neck for support since my left temple keeps bumping against his hard chest.

The guy's raspy voice cursed at him at the background and he didn't give a fuck. Neither at the raindrops running down his face and neck. I brushed the urge to wipe them off and express how much I missed him.

"W-where's Lara?" I asked instead and hoped what I've seen earlier is not a mere product of my imagination.

"She's safe."

I waited for a minute and got confused at the lack of details.

"Wait, did you bring her to the hospital?" I feel like he's avoiding the topic but I asked anyway. Even though it's highly unlikely since the time interval won't make sense, I still want to know.

"No, but she's in my car parked near the road to the cemetery."

"You left her back there?!" I was shocked at how things turned out for the worst.

"I had no choice. That prick is going to take you away from me."

"Seriously?" That guy might be pushy but I'm disappointed at Beomgyu acting out of jealousy. "For god's sake, he's gonna get me treated!"

"No he won't." He simply said as if there's nothing else that needs to be addressed.

"How did you even know?"

"Because this isn't the first time he did."

To be continued…
