Laura's guest, Jake was a guy she had just met on the plane from her trip to Geneva. They had spoken at length and they seemed compatible. She happened to like him hence her inviting him over. They both sat cuddled together on the sofa. The sitting room still had the lighted scent candles.

"Do you want me to switch on the light?" He asked.

"No, don't go anywhere. Stay, I'm scared" She held unto him, her hands snaked on his arm.

He hurled her gently into the circle of his arm and she leaned inwards. He began to rock her.

Jake sighed fingering his brow with his free hand.

"I don't understand what just happened, she told me she was sick but this is…" Laura shook her head trying to

lose the strange occurrence she had just witnessed away from her mind.
