"Lock her inside and don't let anyone near her. From anyone, I mean everyone."
From behind the bars of the cell she saw and heard him saying.
"What…" she said but only a whisper came out of her lips. "You can't lock me here." She yelled banging on the door with all the force she could muster. "Let me out!"
Without sparing a glance in her direction he left. Coming out of the basement he was headed straight towards his father's room. The guards immediately stepped aside and opened the doors as they saw him coming. King Bastian was lying on the bed just like he had left him. The only difference was that he looked weaker and paler than before.
Eric walked over to sit by his side as he took his cold hand into his own. "I vowed to protect you father like you did to protect me. And, just like you never failed, I will not fail you as well." He bent over and placed a gentle kiss on the back of his hand.
