Drunk and Punished

Upon seeing Eric entering through the door, she blurted out immediately. "It was you?!"

A wave of nausea and dizziness hit her once again but it was different this time. She felt like she was going to throw up but instead a hiccup came and it was followed by several more. She placed a hand on her chest and then at her mouth as her horrified face turned towards the wine bottle, forgetting about him and her earlier concerns. 'Was it poisonous?'

Ignoring her question, he walked over to her but then his eyes caught sight of the almost empty wine bottle lying next to her. His brows furrowed as he asked her, "Did you drink this?"

Wide eyed she glanced at him and then nodded slowly. 'Am I going to die?'

Eric rolled his eyes as he said, "Don't you have a slightest bit of patience in you?" Without asking, he already knew why she must have drank the wine.
