HAVANA FAMILY BANQUET (6): JULIAN AND SKYLER.

( AUTHOR'S NOTE: Translations are in brackets.)

France, Unknown location.

Some maids were hovering outside a bungalow scared to enter. The bungalow was home to the young miss of the family.

She had gotten married about a long time ago. Thirteen years ago, she was kidnapped during the early stages of her pregnancy and she gave birth to her daughter in captivity. The family finally found a way to rescue her but they couldn't find the girl. This led to the trauma of the family's 4th Miss and aside from her brother and father, nobody entered her abode willingly.

The maids recited thousands prayers before entering to give her breakfast.

' Mademoiselle, votre nourriture.' One of the maids says.

( Translation: Miss, your food.)

' As-tu vu mon bébé Amira?' The woman keeps chanting.

( Translation: Have you seen my Amira baby?)

' Mange ta nourriture.' Another maid says.

( Eat your food)

The woman keeps chanting. She grabs one of the maids by the collar and screams,

' As-tu vu mon bébé? ils l'attraperont so je ne le fais Pas la trouves.'

( Have you seen my baby? They will catch her if I do not find her.

' Cours! Elle est folle.' A maid says running for her life.

( Run! She is crazy.)

All the maids run leaving the woman on the floor crying.

I think I should go see Julian. God knows what he's been up to.

Let me call Riona and Ashley, we could all go together.

I got my phone and dialled Ashley's number. My bet is that they are together now.

' What's up Ari?' I heard Riona's voice.

' Guys, Let's meet at Dewdrop icecream parlour. I want us to go to the Robert's estate.' I say.

' Sure. We'll meet you there.' Ashley replies and hangs up.

I drive to the icecream parlour and order a plate of icecream.

About half an hour later, I see Ashley and Riona enter.

' Common, Let's go.' Ashley says.

' You guys should sit, I want to discuss something with you.' I say.

They both stared at me with narrowed eyes,

' What did you do?' Riona ask.

I looked down guiltily.

' You guys should sit down first.' I say rehearsing the best way to tell them about Mira.

They both sit down.

' Can you tell us now?' Ashley says.

' I.. I became the legal guardian of Mira!' I blurted out.

Well that's not how I expected to say it.

' The legal guardian?' Riona asks.

' Who's Mira?' Ashley asks.

' Well, I went to the orphanage to say hello and Aunt Hilda told me about a girl, Mira, who noone wants to adopt because she's autistic. So I said I would take her.' I explained.

' Another Baby? Arianna you know I think one day I will find out you've transformed your house to an NGO.' Ashley says.

' Relax Ashley. She isn't a baby, Mira's thirteen. You two are always together in Parkville and it gets boring when you are alone in a house with a baby and lots of elderly people. Mira will be like a younger sister, I can braid her hair, we can have makeovers, go shopping. ' I reply

' I think you are forgetting that this Mira is autistic.' Riona says.

Right. Whatever, there's nothing a little love can't fix.

' Do you have the file of this Mira?' Ashley asks.

' Yes I do.' I say as I give Ashley the file.

' Amira. Born on the 14th September 2005, 4.7ft, AB negative.' Ashley reads the file.

' When was she brought to the orphanage?' Ashley asks.

' Aunt Hilda said she was brought by an old woman when she was just a month old. Her parents died in a fire and the lady was the house help.' I replied.

' Fine you can keep her. What do you think Riona?' Ashley says.

I turn to Riona expectantly.

' I just realized Arianna is a jealous creep.' Riona says.

' Excuse me?' I say. I was not expecting her to say that.

Ashley started laughing like a hyena.

' So you have been jealous of Ashley and I hanging out?' Riona says.

I wasn't jealous. It was so unfair to me that they moved on without me. In all the books I read when a VERY important character leaves, all his friends and family members cry and be sad for like 5 years.But on the same night I left, the both of them were having sleepover pizza.

' I am not jealous but I did expect you two to melodramatically miss me.' I say.

Don't judge me! I am a bit touchy feely.

' Sheesh! Don't bite me.' Riona says.

' Common, Let's go see Julian.' I reply.

We were in the car and Riona held Arian who busied himself in playing with the icons on my phone.

' By the way Ash, You recieved an advertising offer from a toothpaste company. Sky is also participating in the advertisement.' I say as I stare at her from the mirror. I could swear I saw some kind of emotion in her eyes but it disappeared as quickly as it came.

' Not interested.' She replied.

Why would Ashley get an advertisement offer?

It all started five years ago when I saw a notebook where Ashley wrote songs. I know right? I couldn't believe my sister loved music to that extent.

Riona and I convinced her to shoot a video and post the song.

She wasn't so keen and she said she was sure it wasn't that good. So we convinced her to cover up her face so if it was bad, she would be safe. if it was good she would be better than safe.

We posted the video on a new account, " The Dreamer".

Ashley became a hit especially since she was a mystery and we've been posting her songs and videos ( with her face covered of course). Her Instagram account has 25 million followers.

We arrived soon at the Robert's estate.

' Bright Future Orphanage?' Grandmother Rosalind asks.

' Yes The tracker indicates that's where the car stopped and our informant also saw her enter there.' Butler Phillip replies.

' Find out her activities there.' Grandmother Rosalind says.

Julian was in bed dreaming of his boyfriend. In his dream, he was whisked away to a beautiful beach and they were walking slowly towards each other and they finally met. He had Andy in his embrace and he brought his face close to....

' Julian! Hey Julian you rascal! It's 12:13 in the afternoon.' He heard a familiar voice say.

Julian opened his eyes to see Arianna standing akimbo staring at him.

' Oh my Oli! You are here.' Julian says excitedly.

' We are here too!' Riona says.

' Ah! Breanna and Riona and wait.. Whose child is that?' Julian says as his eyes rest on Arian.

' He is mine.' Arianna replies.

' Oli darling, you and your senior Ken finally did it.' Julian says.

Arianna's face darkened at the mention of Ken's name. She had tried very hard to forget him, but each time she heard his name all her willpower crumbled.

' Julian, Let's not talk about Ken.' Arianna replies.

' Fine. But I have to tell you about my new boyfriend. His name is Andy and he is the hottest guy I know and...' He says but stops when someone enters the room.

' Hey Julian, we have to go out later. Are you still...' The guy says but he stops when he sees Ashley, Riona, Arianna and Arian. His eyes fall on Ashley and a playful smirk form on his lips.

' Pinch me! Sky is in your room. The Sky Robs is in front of me.' Arianna says.

' Relax Arianna. This is my cousin, Skyler Robert.' Julian says.

Arianna smacks him. ' Why didn't you tell me you have a celebrity cousin?' She says. Then she runs to Skyler and says,

' Hi, I am Olivia you can call me Arianna. That's my son Arian, that's my friend Riona and that's my sister...'

' Baby Bree!' Skyler calls out.

' What?' Arianna says.

' Come on Olivia. How can you forget me? You were so little then and would always play with dolls.' Skyler says.

' You know me?' Arianna asks surprised.

' Come on, I was always with your sister then. You were still little then, I think you were three or four.' Skyler says.

' Woah!' Arianna says trying to digest the new information.

' Well Well Well! If it isn't Boss Baby Breanna.' Skyler says.

Arianna and Riona burst out laughing while Ashley pursed her lips.

' We meet again.' Ashley says.

' Were you and Breanna close?' Riona asks.

' We were more than close. Infact Breanna had promised to marry me in the future.' Skyler says.

' Keep quiet Skyler!' Ashley says flustered.

' What!!!' Riona and Arianna exclaimed.

' Yes, I told her let's pretend we were a married couple and then she told them that if I learned to cook, clean, iron and wash, she would marry me. She said she would go to work in the morning and I would do the house chores and take care of the kids. Then when she came back from work, I would take her bag and ask her how work was.' Skyler says.

Ashley turned deep red.

Arianna and Riona laughed till they choked.

' Ashley you want him to be a house husband?' Arianna asks.

' I was just 7 years old!' Ashley says defensively.

' But I swear I didn't forget. I learnt to cook, clean, iron and wash. I even learnt to give massages. Now I am awaiting your proposal.' Skyler says.

' Nonsense!.Who wants to marry you?' Ashley says.

' Where have you been all these years?' Arianna ask.

' New York City. Julian told me you guys moved to America. Where do you guys stay?' Skyler asks.

' I attend College in Chicago while Riona and Breanna are in a town called Parkville. I can give you Ashley's number in case you want to look for her in Parkville.' Arianna says.

' You will make a great sister in law.' Skyler replies as Arianna gives him the number and they both exchange numbers.

' Olivia, aren't you meant to like, I don't know, ask my permission before giving out my number.' Ashley says.

' Boss, do not be upset with me. Relax, anger doesn't suit you.' Skyler says.

They all chat for a while till the girls return to Havana Graceland.

RADICAL RANGER: ( Confused 🤷🤷) What's wrong Arianna?

ARIANNA : You are being horrible to me.

ARIANNA: ( Sniffles) In all the other books the female leads have cool secrets. They are either top hackers, assaains, wealthy business tycoons, prodigies who can speak all languages and play the violin very we and they are super smart or they can even solve complex physics problems in high school. But me, I don't understand anything in my computer except YouTube, Google, Amazon and WhatsApp. I know a good deal of martial arts but I don't think I can beat up deadly assaains. I can only speak French and Spanish and I only play the guitar and Piano which is no way close to Violin. I barely escaped fail mark in high school and looking at physics problems make me dizzy. Riona is super smart she was the best in class, Ashley is a secret celebrity, what about me? ( Starts crying again)

RADICAL RANGER: ( Facepalms 🤦🤦🤦) And here I thought you were going to say something useful. Listen Arianna, the name of the book is " Single Mom: Baby is a Genius" not "Baby: Single Mom is a Genius."

Arian will be the genius in this book you are the partially dumb mother of the genius. Stick to your role.

ARIANNA: Still, I think I need a super cool trait. Guys what do you think? ( Turns to the audience)

AUTHOR'S NOTE

The above scene came as a result between my boyfriend and I. He said that Arianna needs a trait that makes her stands out among all the other characters. But we couldn't decide what the trait should be. He had a list of traits but Arianna isn't meant to be the smart one so we decided to give her one special trait. So let's choose

OPTION A: Fluent in Italian, French, Spanish and Chinese.

OPTION B: Skilled Fighter.

OPTION C: Street smart. ( It's too late for her to be academically smart but she can have lots of street sense)
