Silent Requiem of One: Hostias Et Preces

<3rd PoV>

"Fuuu.. The wind is calm today.." A young man was walking down the street with a big suitcase next to him. Only a few people were roaming on the streets as it's in the middle of the night and on a dangerous town like this they would never carelessly move. But the young man just moved silently but calmly on the middle of the night without any care in the world. He is just gazing up to the sky looking at the giant moon.

"*sigh*.. what a drag.." He suddenly speeds up his walk towards a bright glowing district of the town. But when he is walking silently suddenly someone bumped into him.

"Oi! Watch where you going!" He shouted in a little anger. The young man glanced at him with an indifferent expression and continue on his way. But before he could continue a hand suddenly is holding his shoulder.

"How dare you ignore me?!" It turns out to be the same man that the young man bumped into.

"Why should I care..?" He said in front of his face. The man looked very angry while veins protruding from his forehead.

"You brat?!" The man suddenly went in for the violence. But the young man already anticipated his move and immediately sweeped the legs of the man causing him to fall down and hit his head on the floor causing him to be knocked unconscious.

"What a drag.." The young man sighed and continue on his way silently. The man seemed to be influenced by alcohol so I just let him be. People around don't seem to care as they already experienced a worse thing than this.

I continue to walk along the path until I reached the side of the street. Near there a car was parked with it's window down. Inside it there is a man who is wearing a sunglasses while reading a book with a title 'The Fall of Evil'. I slowly approached him by the window and knocked at it.

"Ah! There you are Katei-kun." He looked at me while closing his book. He was smiling brightly with an overwhelming positive energy.

"Good evening, Miro-san" I greeted him without changing my expression.

"As cold as ever.." He sighed but quickly brushed it away.

"So, hop in. Mugen-san already told me where to go." He said gesturing me to come in. I opened the door and entered the car silently while carefully placing my suitcase next to me. He starts the car then started to drive in a normal speed towards my destination.

"I'm saying this a lot but.. You're still young.. why don't you just retire from this job?" He asked me a frequently asked question. My answer to all of this questions are always the same.

"Paying off debt.." He sighed and said.

"Such a stubborn child aren't you, Katei-kun?" He laughed bitterly. Despite his appearance and his work for Mugen-san. He is only a driver. He once also had a child who worked in the criminal world. But just like most unlucky people, he met the worst match.

Kisei Nyuumetsu.

Kisei Nyuumetsu is one of the highly established assassin in the world. Nicknamed 'Harbinger of Nirvana'. He is said to be one of the most unique and elegant assassin to ever exist. He only kills in a certain way in under the bright moonlight. His choice of weapon of executing is Fire. As what he believe in as.

'Fire is a way towards Nirvana or Hell depending if you accept it or not.' Is what he said.

Miro-san's child fought against him and ended up losing his life on the 'Harbinger of Nirvana's hands. Miro-san to say the least was shocked about the news. He tried to kill himself multiple times but failed until one day I decided to step in the problem.

<Flashback>

"Why must it be you? Why must everything left me?" Miro-san is standing on the edge of the roof of a tall apartment building.

"Why must this world punish me?" He looked up to the bright moonlight. Despite all of that he still is tightly clutching a photo of their once happy family that now teared into pieces leaving him alone once again.

"But.. that doesn't matter.. As I finally will see them once again.." He closed his eyes as he prepared to let himself fall from those heights. But instead of falling he suddenly felt the sensation of someone pulling him. He opened his eyes and saw me..

"W-Who are you?!" He was mad at me. He was mad that I broke his resolve to die, to leave this world, to meet them once again. But I do not care about them a single bit.

*PLAK* *PLAK*

I slapped him 2 times on the cheek leaving a mark. He looked surprised that he was slapped. He touched his cheeks which surprisingly didn't feel painful at all instead he felt.. tears.

"W-What? W-Why? A-Am I truly crying?" He shed his tears. He woke up. To reality. To the harsh truth.

"You will never see them again.. you know that yourself.." I spoke out the harsh truth to him. He was aggravated hearing that but I just kept talking.

"In the depth of your heart.. you knew it as well.. but you refused them.. instead you became delusional.." I kept on telling him the truth on his decision. But he didn't seem to like a child way younger than him is lecturing him.

"WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT MY PA-" But he suddenly halted his words as I threw him a piece of paper.

"This- This writings?!" It's the farewell letter from his child.. He read it like a madman then started crying as soon as he read the first sentence. It's 'Don't cry'..

He continued to read the letters as I reached out to my suitcase. I opened it and took out a spesific object. I held it on my hand and let him read the letter to the end. After a while he finished reading the letter and looked up towards me. On that point I threw the object on my hand.

"Hiek!" He suddenly screeched out as the object that I threw towards him was..

"T-That is.." The head of the one that killed his child. Kisei Nyuumatsu 'Harbinger of Nirvana's head.

"Bu- But how?!" He looked up towards me in complete shock. At that point I was wearing a scarf that covered half of my face making me unrecognisable. With the only identity gave away was my height and my voice.

"I hunted him in someone's request.." I said nonchalantly. He was baffled but he subconciously forgot what he was doing here.

"And so also with that someone's request.. I shall gave you a reason to live again" I declared it infront of him with my emotionless tone.

After that he slowly opened up and now he became the owner of a home that is inhabited by children who lost their everything. He was slowly finding his reasonings.

"We're here" Miro-san suddenly spoke out breaking my reminiscence of the past.

"Well.. I shall get going. Thank you for the ride, Miro-san" I thanked him and grabbed my suitcase.

"Hahahaha of course of course. Call me when you need some help" He said while I was closing the door. I nodded at him and he smiled.

"Be careful" He simply said before driving away.

"I shall not need your advice.. as I will definitely deliver death.. to my targets!!" I walked into a building that is shining brightly in the middle of the city.

"If there is a God out here.. Hostias Et Preces.."
