Chapter 1

"Ethan, get up!" she shouted "You're going to be late for your first day of school!" Slowly but surely, Ethan uncovered the blanket he wrapped himself in, a coccon of warmth and sleep. His sudden movment waking up, startled his cat jester.

As Ethan got up to turn off his alarm clock, his foot tripped on something hard and spiky. He bent his elbow just enough were he could turn his head and see what the item was, A toy dino, one of his little brothers Toy's.

"Danny! Why is one of your toy's in my room!" the sound of someone running comes through the hall. Standing outside Ethan's doorway, was a small, skinny boned boy" I swear that toy is not mine" Danny would reply with a sassy tone "Then who's is it?!" Ethan would yell at Danny.

The boy would look a little frightened, he would run to the kitchen to escape Ethan's rampage of anger. As Danny would run to the kitchen, Ethan would pick himself up, lifting his arm up to reach the dresser. as he reached up he touched a chain, a chain belonging to his father.

It was a dog tag, a necklace that veterans of war gained in their deployment. Ethan pulled himself up, looking down on his dresser "I wish you were still here dad" while picking up the necklace

*BEEP BEEP BEEP*

Ethan would look over annoyed at his alarm clock. As the alarm clock went on and on, he blacked out and stared out into the rain. The window, with it's foggy mist clinging to the outside of the window. Was have a racing game with the water droplets.

1...2...3...

3 water droplets all racing each other to the bottom of the window, As he stared into the outside world, he saw something yellow drive by. It was his bus, he was going to be late for his first day of school!

Ethan quickly grabbed his pants and shirt, putting them on. As he was about to walk out of his room to get his shoes and backpack to head out into the rain. He went back and grabbed the dog tag, and putting it around his neck for good luck, Holding it as he ran out of the room.

"Sorry mom, I was caught up in something" while looking over to danny with a menacing glare. Danny, who looked ever so innocent, had an evil smile behind those eyes of his.

"Ethan don't you think you should wear shoes?" his mother said. as ethan was about to walk out the door, he looked down and noticed he forgot about his shoes in the process when grabbing his back pack.

*Tick tock, Tick tock*

At school, all Ethan could hear was the sound of chalk hitting the chalk board and the tick tock's of the clock in the front of the classroom. The teacher would pause to look at the class, "Students, I would like you to meet Magnus, he will be your new classmate for this year!"

Ethan would look at the new student, the aura and glare this student gave off spooked the other students. They would look down and do their work, hoping Magnus would not look at them.

Ethan with his curious nature, would stand up and walk up to Magnus. "Hi, my name is Ethan, nice to meet you Magnus!" Ethan would take in all the features of Magnus and guesa what he liked.

The deep blue eyes, the Black shirt with a dragon logo printed on it, a denim coat on top with paint splattered that looked as if it would not wash out, and jeans that looked like they could fall off at the knees. Classic for a teenage boy his age.
