Reasons

„W-what happened here? Sota!"

A few minutes after their fight, Shouta found both of them laying on the ground unconscious. He took out his mobile phone and called the others.

„I found both of them behind the school! Come here!"

„Okay, just wait a second!"

They picked the two boys up and brought them into their classroom. Shouta was the first one to begin a conversation.

„You're not like the other classes, are you?"

„We aren't."

„It can't be a coincidence that there are only three students in one class and all of them are Stand-Users!"

„It isn't. All of us are here because of one particular reason. It was planned that all of us are going to the same class."

„W-what reason is this?"

The tension in the room increased dramatically. The three classmates looked at each other. Shouta felt the pressure between them.

.....

„We...don't know it either."

.....

„Y-you can't be serious?"

„We are. We know that there is a reason, but not what it is. We somehow are a class, but we also search for other Stand-Users to find this reason."

„I see. That's why you immediately went to class 2A. You thought it could be the work of a new Stand-User."

„Yes. That was the first time however we had to fight one. And to make it even worse, your friend, who was the most inexperienced of all of us,had to do it."

„But this fight was very informative after all."

„Why? The only thing we know is that there are Stand-Users who want to hurt people!"

„He didn't want to."

Sota had woken up before the other ones noticed.

„You're already awake?"

„Yes. I don't g to think that he wanted to hurt anyone. When I finished him, he..."

Sota looked at his opponent again.

„He seemed relieved."

„So you want to say that...his Stand just came out in a particular situation or something like that?"

„It was the same with me after all. In the moment I needed this power most, it was given to me."

„Okay guys let's make it clear for everyone of us. You are not a normal class. I don't know if you do normal classes, but you're spending most of your time searching for other Stand-Users. The question is if I and Sota want to do that."

Yuma stood up his chair and looked straight at Shouta.

„I knew this would come. I can only say that both of you would be a big help for us, but if you don't want to join us, I can understand that."

Shouta didn't even think about his answer.

„It's no question. Of course, we'll help you. I don't think somebody will ever treat and understand us like you do in this school. And I'm also curious about the reason that brought us together."

Shouta looked at his best friend.

„Sorry for pulling you into that."

Sota scratched the back of his head.

„Man, I'm getting into weird situations with ya. Honestly, I don't feel like adventure. But someone has to help you if an amazing Stand-User is needed!"

Yusei instantly jumped off his chair.

„Wait a second! I'm the strongest here!"

„You are? Bring it on, jerk!"

Sota and Yusei attended to started a fight, but they were disturbed by Shouta who opened his mouth again.

„There is another reason for me to stay here."

„Which is?"

„I can't really name it."

He opened the window to look at the town.

„Look at this town. There can't be anything horrible happening in this beautiful town, right?"

„Why would you ask something like that?"

Shouta sighed and closed the window again.

„Just a bad feeling. Nothing more and nothing less."

At a small coffee in Nisshoku

The woman sitting in the coffee was the mother of a 16 years old girl. She was in school and the woman had decided to take a break in her favorite coffee together with her best friend. She herself was maybe 40 or 45, definitely not older than that. In two years, her daughter would move out and she'd be all alone again. She wouldn't complain about that. She always wanted her only child to go her own way and after various of disasters dating other men than the father of her daughter, she decided to not continue trying. At 16 a.m, Hina Katana left her table and made her way back home. But she hadn't walked more than five meters, when she bumped into someone.

„Oh, I'm sorry! I wasn't paying attention to the road."

„It's okay. I was lost in my thoughts too.

Hina looked up to see a tall man with short black hair, wearing a gentle smile on his face.

„Then have a nice day."

„Have a nice day."

Instantly forgetting about the man, Hina Katana didn't recognize the pair of black eyes following her.

„At last! This coffee is great, but it's too wide from my house."

Hina had arrived at her house and just wanted to call her daughter, when the door bell rang.

„I'm coming!"

She opened the door to see the man she bumped into before.

„What can I do for you?"

The man took a watch out of his pocket.

„You lost this when you bumped into me today."

„Oh thank you! Come on in. I'm Hina Katana. What is your name?"

And for the first time since he entered Nisshoku, the man smiled from the depth of his heart.

„My name is Akuma Keiji."
