A Familiar World 

Chishi awoke to see two giant figures chatting about him, as he watched on in confusion, 'why does this man seem so familiar, he looks almost like… ahh! Hiashi from Naruto?!'

'These giants don't look like they are cosplaying, but this can't be real, it's only a manga.'

While he was contemplating his situation, Hiashi came over to pick him up, and carried him over to his mother. "I can see what you mean even though he was born yesterday, he has such a serious and grumpy look on his face" Hiashi chided as he handed over the baby. "Hello, Chishi I'm your second uncle Hiashi, and this is your lovely mother Anabe"

"Geez Hiashi"

"Chishi, you're now a part of the Hyuga clan, a powerful clan in Konoha. I want you to know I will take care of you and your mother, and protect you with all my power!" Hiashi said seriously to comfort both the child and its mother, "even if they try to take him away" he whispered, which Anabe could hear but was just out of Chishi's range of hearing.

"Thank you hiashi-san" anabe smiled earnestly.

"I have to go now, I still need to attend the front lines against kirigakure. I can only be gone for so long"

"Ok Hiashi, thanks for stopping by" Anabe resolutely replied as she held Chishi.

After a while of frantically trying to escape, but failing due to his pitiful baby body, Chishi eventually gave up, and tried to understand his current predicament.

Due to numerous factors he devised that he was really in the Naruto universe as he had seen many ninja hopping from roof to roof outside the window, and had personally experienced a medical ninja use medical ninjutsu on him after he bruised himself by fumbling around and trying to escape.

This along with the fact he saw and was talked to by Hiashi, an important character in the world, sold him on the idea. But why was he here and how?

'Maybe since i'm a baby then… REINCARNATION!... wait… does that mean i… i… i died in surgery"

'Sorry, nurse Bruce, I guess I should have listened to you and gone to sleep early, and I guess I won't be able to read One Piece, so please don't waste your money.'

'Mum… Dad… I'm sorry, despite working so hard to pay to keep me alive… hic… I'm sorry I could stay strong enough…'

Soon due to emotional and physical fatigue he fell asleep again, no one noticing his eyes turned a shade of red then flickered back to white.

Time passed quickly and peacefully in the hospital, with the only noticeable events being Chishi's reaction to being breastfed, he freaked out and refused to eat for a day, until of course hunger took over and his body forced itself to eat.

But nevertheless a week passed and they were finally able to head to his new home of the hyuga clan residence.

Upon entering the clan residence, anabe and chishi were greeted with smiles and praises.

Everyone they met showed a lot of respect for Anabe, Chishi saw this but just chalked it up to her being the clan leader's cousin.

Finally arriving home to their private residence, Chishi was placed into a cot to relax and Anabe moved around the house to do some cleaning.

'Hmmm… now that I'm sure that this is the world of Naruto, what should I do? I guess for now i should train my body so i can start moving around and practice talking so i can communicate'

And with that, Chishi started his adventure in a new world.

1 year later…

After almost a year of continuous practice and struggle, Chishi was finally able to move around and talk. Which though it was unusual, was still within the range of possible as kids in Naruto progress at a much more accelerated rate due to the presence of chakra.

Due to this though he was 1 year old, Chishi's body was equivalent to a 3 year old on earth and with him being able to talk easily, he was seen as a genius both by his mother and higher ups in the clan. While this shocked others, what shocked chishi was that his mother was an elder in the hyuga clan, more precisely she was the descendant of an elder who had revoked his position to his daughter causing some major disturbances in the clan for around a year, before chishi was born. As such one of his main worries, that being the caged bird seal was nullified as the first child of the main house he was exempt from the seal, this was because he was expected to succeed his mother in the position of elder in the future.

"Chishi!!"

"Yes mum!"

"Help me unpack these groceries!" shouted Anabe from the kitchen.

Patter patter

Light footsteps echoed through the house as the small Chishi ran into the room with a bright smile.

About 6 month after his reincarnation, Chishi finally accepted Anabe as his mum, accepting her love and affection. The love and affection he sorely missed from his childhood on earth as his parents were rarely around due to working to support his medication. Not forgetting his previous parents merely accepting extra parents, like a stepmom or new father figure.

climbing onto one of the chairs that surrounded the table holding the groceries, he helped his mum unpack them.

"Hey mum, when can I start training to be a ninja?"

"Chishi your only 1 year old, i know your progression is faster than the other kids but you still need to wait before you can start training"

"Please mum, even just refining chakra… please please please pleeeeease!!!"

"Sigh- fine i'll teach you how to refine chakra but nothing else mister!"

"Yosh!"

After packing away all the groceries, they both enter the house's courtyard. Sitting upon bamboo mats with crossed legs.

"To refine chakra, we hyuga have a special method passed down from ancient times, the method is to use the innate chakra in our bodies to clear our tenketsu/pressure points and repeatedly cycle it throughout our chakra pathway. This draws the physical energy and spiritual energy we have and forms them into chakra" Anabe stated "though not much this also passively trains both our physical energy and spiritual energy, improving our taijutsu and dojutsu respectively"

While she was explaining the principle, she was also demonstrating the technique to Chishi by refining her own chakra. "Now you try chishi, just follow along"

After watching anabe as she explained, chishi roughly understood the idea and tried to follow along, firstly he meditated to focus on his chakra, finding an energetic energy resting slightly below his navel, after a while of sensing it he was finally able to control the small portion of chakra, which he carefully guided through his body toward his pressure points, which seen clogged, eventually after some more guidance from anabe he was able to clear more than half of his pressure points before he need to rest.

After learning he was able to clear half of them on his first attempt, Anabe was speechless as this was unheard of with the most cleared on the first attempt was usually 2-3 pressure points with the record being only one quarter cleared on the first try and this was done by one of their most powerful ancestors ages ago, this was many year before the formation of the village and even in toward the start of the warring states period.

"Chishi! You must not tell anyone how many you cleared on your first attempt ok!"

"Ahh ok, b-but why mum?"

"Because your talented, and if this get out people from other villages will target you… even in the village you won't be safe from some people"

Upon hearing these words Chishi realised what his mother was referring to, externally; places like kumogakure will easily send out units to kidnap or assassinate talented/important targets like with the hinata kidnapping event in the original series. Internally; danzo is also a huge threat with him trying to either remove or control valuable people in the village, using less than respectable means to gain power.

After understanding this, Chishi nodded to his mum. The current third shinobi world war has put strains on the village and its people, no less than Anabe as a hyuga elder. So she was right to be wary of threats that may appear due to his talents.

"Sigh- that's enough for today chishi, lets have some dinner and get some well needed rest and we will continue training tomorrow"

1 hour later…

After filling his stomach, Chishi headed to the bedroom and got changed into his nightwear ready for bed. After brushing his teeth he sat in bed staring at the roof, as anabe walked in to tuck him to bed.

"Goodnight sweetheart, have beautiful dreams"

"Goodnight mum"

After tucking him into bed and kissing him on the forehead anabe slowly walked to the door.

"Mum?"

"Yes honey?"

"I'll get strong enough to protect you and the village, so you don't have to worry about me so much!"

"Honey I…" after looking starstruck at what Chishi said she continued "i'm your mum, it's my job to worry about you… but i love you and i trust you, so no matter what happens, trust me to protect you until you can protect us both ok"

"Ok mum… i love you too"

"I know honey… goodnight" anabe whispered after which she closed the door and went to bed.

Laying there in the dark from chishi was staring at the roof with a resolute expression as he was steeling himself, ' no matter what i will protect mum, the clan , the village and the world. Because I love it here, the sights, the smells, the people. I won't let any harm come to it' after affirming his purpose in his heart, Chishi soon fell asleep.
