(Konoha Year 52)
-Hokage Tower-
<Asuma POV>
We reached what I believed was the Hokage tower, I couldn't be sure as I was nauseated. Moving through the village at shinobi speed can be disorienting for someone who never experienced it before.
I felt a little embarrassed being carried like a child, I get that I was a child again but that didn't change the mindset of someone who was 23 mentally.
Once we stopped, I got down on my shaking feet, still holding onto Biwa- I mean my mother- while I got used to being on solid ground. After a few minutes we continued into the building quickly bypassing all security. Once we reached the office the receptionist greeted us politely before letting us know that the Hokage was in a meeting.
We waited by the receptionist for a while before the door finally opened. To say I was surprised would be an understatement, seeing the three older individuals leaving the office. I quickly realized who they were the elders Danzo, Koharu, and Homura.
The most obvious one being Danzo with his signature bandages, the rest were deduced based on their age and closeness.
They barely even acknowledged us before continuing on their way. As they left we stood up to enter the office.
<Hiruzen POV>
It has been a tiring few hours since this meeting started, going over the information we have been able to gather from the other villages. We've also been able to go over what we've prepared in case all hell breaks loose.
"I see, I had hoped we could avoid this issue all together but it seems like we won't have a choice in the matter. We are prepared but let's not forget that Iwa, Suna, and Ame have had time to prepare as well. I think it best to put a pin in this for now until the council can gather later today to begin discussions on our strategies for the coming war."
"You are all dismissed for now." I spoke. Finally putting an end to the meeting.
As the elders began walking out I pulled out my pipe and finally took a puff after lighting it. In an instant a calming sensation flowed through my body. Until I saw somebody enter my office.
My eyes widened as I saw who entered before the smoke I inhaled got stuck in my throat. A coughing fit ensued, and a disappointed look from my wife followed. 'Definitely going to sleep on the couch tonight' I thought.
As the cough settled I spoke, "Sweetie" before I was interrupted.
"Don't sweetie me, you said you'd stop smoking." Said Biwako angrily.
"I'm sorry, I've just had a tough morning." I was going to continue but was cut off again.
"We will be talking about his later, but for now that is not what I'm here for." Replied Biwako. Just as she finished Asuma popped out from behind Biwako.
I was able to pick up on something new about him, his chakra was circulating more efficiently as if was unlocked and the amount he had was large for his age. Surprised by the what I was seeing I looked over to my wife and asked "I thought we were going to wait another year? Why did you change your mind?"
"I didn't, he came down for breakfast and was already like this. He said he received no help and didn't notice it happened until I mentioned it." She corrected.
I kept quiet after what she said, I could tell that she was serious. I had no knowledge of this happening before in Konoha, but from what I could sense his chakra was circulating more just fine.
"I haven't seen this before but everything seems to be in order. He reserves are high, at the level of a new genin. I'll have Tsunade double check and begin testing his control to make sure there isn't residual damage from this incident."
"In the meantime, how are you son? How do you feel?" I asked.
"I'm feeling alright, surprised by mom's reaction mostly. As for my chakra it feels warm and like water." Responded Asuma.
"That is good to hear son, once your checked out, I'll allow you to begin chakra control training, no need to waste this gift you were given." I spoke.
As I said this Asuma's eyes widened, "Does that mean I'll be able to learn new jutsus soon!" He asked excitedly.
"Of course Asuma, once you reach an acceptable level with your control I'll begin your ninja training like I did with your brother." I told him.
Remembering what I was doing before Biwako and Asuma visited I stood up, "Now I'd like to continue this conversation but duty calls I'll still some business to attend to today before I can head home."
After they left I called for the Anbu, "Call for the shinobi council and elders to meet in an hour." I commanded.
(Konoha Hospital)
(One hour later)
<Asuma POV>
After reaching the hospital, we were escorted to Tsunade's office for testing. It went by quick and were now waiting for the results.
Just then Tsunade walked in, she was looking over some papers before looking up. "From what I can tell, everything looks fine. He has healthy coils, no foreign chakra, and large reserves. Given that we have no prior data my current hypothesis is that his coils finished maturing early. Normally they need a final push that's why we unlock chakra with another person's assistance." She stated.
"Now that this has been cleared, I believe it's time for you to begin using your chakra. I think it best to be supervised during your training to be safe, once you can master the first two steps of chakra control I'll clear you to begin learning jutsus." She added.
As soon as I heard that I knew I had to asked for her to train me. 'Learning chakra control from the best medic ninja in the world would be a great starting point for my career'.
Deciding to use my charm I added a chipper tone to my voice, "Can you teach me chakra control big sis? I heard you are the best!"
Instead of answering, she looked up from me towards Biwako, almost looking for an answer. Confused I looked up at Biwako, confused as to what was the issue was.
"I suppose I can allow it, you did surpass me in both chakra control and medical ninjutsu." Replied Biwako.
"Are you sure? I wouldn't have been able to accomplish it without your teachings master." Questioned Tsunade.
"What did I tell you about calling me master, you've surpassed me for a while now. I could tell the moment you showed me the seal you've been working on?" Stated Biwako.
My eyes widened, 'I had no idea that Biwako had taught Tsunade to be a medic nin. Not to mention that seal must be her 100 healings seal from the show!"
Hearing this I knew studying under Tsunade was a must, even if I don't become a healer at her level learning her Yin seal would increase my strength in the future. That alone would put me ahead of what cannon Asuma was.
Hearing this my body began jumping in place "Can I learn under big sis Tsunade? Please mom!" I wasn't sure if this was my own excitement to train under Tsunade or the merging of memories from Asuma that made me act childlike.
It embarrassed me a bit but allowing myself to act my age was probably for the best. Getting used to this body's age was going to take some getting used to.
"Yes Asuma, I'll allow it." Answered Biwako.
"Great! Can we get started now Big Sis?" I looked towards Tsunade awaiting a response.
"Alright I'll teach you, but I better not hear any complaints about when we're going to learn jutsus that comes far later." She spoke
"Yes, Mam!" I stood up straight and gave my full attention. 'I always wanted to use chakra, I'll get it down no matter how long it takes.'
I quickly said goodbye to Biwako and followed Tsunade, she led me to a grassy field with many trees near the hospital.
"Alright, we've arrived. This is where you'll learn the first step of chakra control. I'll start by explaining what chakra is and how it flows within your body. Pay close attention, as understanding this is crucial for mastering chakra control," Tsunade began, her tone serious but encouraging.
I listened intently as Tsunade explained the fundamentals of chakra, how it originates from the combination of physical energy and spiritual energy. It flows through the chakra pathways and tenketsu within the body. There are 361 tenketsu in the body, each one a checkpoint on the Chakra Pathway System.
She began demonstrated various exercises to help me sense and manipulate my own chakra within my body.
After some time practicing these exercises, Tsunade nodded in approval. "You're catching on quickly, Asuma. Your ability for chakra manipulation is impressive."
"Now that you have that down we can begin with with controlling your chakra outside of your body. This training method is done by placing a leaf over forehead and focus all your chakra towards the leaf" explained Tsunade.
Handing me a leaf I took it, placing the leaf in my forehead and holding with I finger. I began to concentrate my chakra towards the leaf's location, once I believed I had enough chakra, I removed my finger. Only for the leaf to repel from my head and float to the ground.
'I thought I had enough chakra why did it fly off? Maybe it was too much? From what I remember from the show the tree walking exercise needed a certain amount for someone to stick. Too much would launch you away while to little would make you slip'.
"Were you able to figure out what you did wrong?" Asked Tsunade.
This brought me out of my thoughts. "I think I channeled to much chakra, so instead of sticking to me is got repelled." I answered.
"Correct, well mostly once you find the correct amount the next goal is to keep a constant stream of chakra. Lastly is the concentration, the ability to keep focus on the leaf. Eventually you should be able to go on with your day without dropping the leaf." Replied Tsunade.
"Wait, I have to keep the leaf on my head all day!" I exclaimed.
She smiled, "Well not really, to consider this exercise learned you need to keep it on for 30 minutes, and one hour to be considered mastered. Although as my student I won't take anything less than the best, your goal for this exercise is 2 hours."
"Now, what are you waiting for your burning daylight! You wanted to train under me right? Get to it, I don't have all day." She ordered.
