Between The Living

"My name is Lionsgate Leonardo, and my dad used to be friends with your dad," Leonardo begins, attempting to establish a connection.

"I don't care," Leon interrupts, showing little interest in their family relations. "Are we going to fight or what?" he asks eagerly.

Leonardo agrees, with a sweat drop forming on his face. "Yes, we can," he responds. "But first, what are your innate skills?"

Leon answers, "My innate skill is Dying Wish and Skill Dissection. Now, let's fight."

They both count down, "Three, two, one, fight!" and rush in. Blow after blow is exchanged, and it seems like neither of them is willing to back down. Leon's aura blazes with excitement as he revels in the battle.

Leonardo steps back for a moment and says, "Activate innate skill: Slip and Slide."

Leon tries to land a punch, but it inexplicably slips past Leonardo. The innate skill, Slip and Slide, allows Leonardo to redirect attacks. As Leon attempts to shoot beams, they also go awry, thwarted by Leonardo's skill.

Leon then takes a closer look at Leonardo's innate skill to activate his own, the Dissect skill. The system confirms the activation and bookmarks the skill, allowing Leon to save innate skills. However, Leonardo remains unaware of this development.

Leon teleports, and the scene switches to the perspective of Knight and Lycone in the afterlife. Lycone asks, "Can our bodies move while we are dead?"

Knight responds, "No, they can't." They've been training for a while, practicing non-affinity techniques, but now they're just bored and in need of something to do. Suddenly, they become aware of what's happening with their physical bodies.
