Misery

My eyes widened in shock as I listened to my mother's tale, my mind reeling with the weight of her words. I felt like I had been punched in the gut, my breath knocked out of me.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. As she finished speaking, I felt a mix of emotions swirling inside me. There was shock, anger, sadness, and confusion all battling for dominance. I didn't know what to feel or how to process this revelation.

I looked at my mother, my eyes searching for answers. I saw the determination in her eyes, the conviction that she had made the right decision.

But I also saw the pain, the sacrifice she had made for me. I thought about my whole life, about the memories we had never made together.

I thought about the times I had wondered why she wasn't there for me, why she had left me behind. And I realized that she had been stuck in this graveyard, waiting for me, for 13 long years.

A lump formed in my throat as I tried to speak. "M-mom..." I stuttered. "Why? Why did you do it?"

My mother's expression softened, and she reached out to me. "I did it for you, Daniel. I wanted to see you grow up, to be there for you when you needed me. And I waited all these years for this moment, to finally see you again."

I felt a wave of grief wash over me. I had never imagined that my mother's love for me was so strong, so selfless. I felt a deep sense of regret, knowing that I had grown up without her, and that she had been trapped here, waiting for me.

I embraced her, holding her tight as tears streamed down my face. "I'm so sorry, mom," I whispered. "I'm so sorry that I kept you waiting.Dont tell me it's not my fault,am the reason you had to sacrifice your chance to go to heaven. I now understand why all this happened but I can't forgive Belzebub for all the pain he caused us."

As we held each other, I knew that I would never forget this moment, this revelation. I wished that I could make up for all the lost time.I would cherish every moment with my mother, and I would never take her presence for granted.

But my misery was not over yet because as I loosened my grip and let my mom go, I noticed her astral form beginning to fade away. I tried to hold on tighter, but it was no use. She was disappearing, leaving me behind once again.

"No, mom, no! Don't leave me again!" I screamed, my voice echoing through the desolate landscape.

Her ethereal voice whispered, "My goal was to see you one last time, Daniel. It's time for me to vanish into nothingness."

I grasped at the air, desperate to hold onto her fading form. "No, please! Don't go! I need you!" I pleaded.

I even screamed for Gabriel's help,my voice cracking with despair. He gazed at me from afar but said and did nothing.I almost rushed at him to drag him to my mom's side so that he could at least perform a miracle and save her but it was too late.

My mother's form was almost done fading, her eyes fixed on my anguished face. "I love you, Daniel..." her voice trailed off, and she disappeared into thin air.

My world went dark. I collapsed to my knees, my mind reeling with grief. I felt like I was being consumed by a void, my heart shattered into a million pieces.

Gabriel's voice was a distant whisper, "Daniel, your mom's gone. There was nothing I could do to save her. She made the choice to let Belzebub cast his dark spell on her to keep her on earth till she met you again."

I rose to my feet, my eyes blazing with a fierce resolve. I knew that Belzebub, the one who had cast the dark spell on my mother, was living rent free in my late father's body.

I made a silent vow to myself to hunt him down, no matter the cost.I would hunt him down, no matter what it took. I would make him pay for taking my dad away from me and for trapping my mom in this graveyard for 13 long years.

I needed to repay him for my pain, for my suffering. And this time, I wouldn't do it alone. With the help of the Archangels, I was confident that I could defeat Belzebub.

"Return me to my body, Gabriel," I said, my voice cold and detached.

Gabriel nodded, his expression unchanging. "Very well, Daniel."

And with that, my journey to know the truth had ended.A new mission came to mind as I felt a drive fueled by grief, anger, and a burning desire for revenge against the one who had shattered my life forever.

I needed to keep my mission a secret for now, knowing that I had to be careful if I wanted to succeed.
