"How – You don't have any vacant rooms?" She asked the innkeeper again; knowing her reply would be the same as a moment ago.
"Some guilds are recovering from a tough fight and they booked all the remaining rooms I had. You must wait -" After checking the full chart, she raised her gaze again "- another thirty-six minutes. I can prepare you a table and a hearty meal while you wait." She offered with an annoyed expression and hid the chart back under her towel.
"That would be great." Anna smiled and glanced at her companion "You must be hungry, right? What would you like to eat?" She asked him with a smile, curious what his choice would be. She had enough money thanks to the time they spent on the fields yesterday, it felt great to be able to not worry about being able to pay.
"Soup with bread is fine." He murmured, watching her loose strand of hair coiled at the nape of her neck when she turned back, trying his best not to shove it to the side and playfully bite her.
Seeking some solitude, they found a secluded table and sat down, exchanging no words as they waited for his meal.
"May I ask what happened next? I remember only the pain as everything got dark right after. Who was it?" Leaning in close to the table, she whispered softly, unable to stay quiet any longer.
"I don't want to talk about it, please don't ask about it again." He replied quietly and glanced at the woman carrying his meal.
"Sorry. I was just curious." Anna's smile faded as some stranger made their way towards their table, causing her to shift back into a serious demeanor.

"Hey there, how have you been?" He asked as he sat beside her with a bold grin.
"Good. Do you need some ingredients?" As Anna instinctively moved back a little, she noticed his poor state. He appeared to be slightly drunk, his attire tarnished with smudges of wine and brown sauce.
She had no idea it was even possible in this game.
"Straight to the point, right? Well, I couldn't help myself but wonder – how did you manage to make it last this long? You know, I tried so hard to tame some, but they always run away or break their heads with some random stone after a few hours. And the stronger they are, the higher the upkeep cost, right?"
He laughed, but she had no idea what he was talking about. And he didn't seem to shut up soon.
"I tried it with different mixtures, different races, even with bugs, which lasted the longest by the way." He gave her a wink and glanced at Bugak drinking the soup straight from the bowl across the table.
She was repulsed by his presence more and more, even considering he was quite pretty.
"Just look at him. This one is not bothered to be here at all. How did you manage to do so? It's truly amazing. I'm trying so hard to enslave one like him and I'm honestly out of any ideas. You must be probably over level thirty to be able to control him this well."
He sighed like a schoolgirl in love and looked back at her.
"Where did you find him? That's a High Orc, right? I heard they are much further up north. Do you use him more like a mule to carry heavy shit around, or is he handy in combat, too?"
His words tumbled out uncontrollably, an unceasing stream spilling from his mouth that he couldn't seem to reign in.
"There are not many of us being able to tame mobs, humanoids on top of that. You must be capable. I believe that our companionship would greatly benefit both of us. And I also have a room upstairs, so -" He laughed so smugly she got goosebumps.
