She Became The Boss's Lady After Divorce

Tessa ran away from home to get married to the love of her life, David Winston. On David's birthday, and their three years marriage anniversary, Tessa caught David cheating on her with his childhood friend, Olivia George, a figure from a prestigious family.  She found out that the man she thought was her soulmate only married her because of his family inheritance, now that he had gotten it, she was no longer useful to him. It was time for she to go her own way, after three years of hardship and unfaithfulness.  Tessa picked the pen up and signed the divorce papers.  ‘These people, they have no idea who they are messing with’ David smirked.  “Tessa is from the countryside, I bet her family are local farmers... She can't do anything. Come to think of it, she never told me anything about her family. Perhaps they are beggars! In the countryside” Olivia George screamed.  “Tessa, you will pay for this, I will show you that I am from the George family!” Olivia's quivering tone was heard.  “David... I... I... thought you said she is from the countryside, her family are beggars! right? cos what in the devil's name is going on” Tessa's cheeks raised slowly.  “I forgot to introduce myself. I am Tessa Wood. From the number one mafia family in the country” “Tessa, you would be crowned the next heir to the Wood family, but you have to marry somebody from the military, that is your grandfather's last request”

CHAPTER 27

Edward collapsed on the floor, Klaus dropped the blood-stained dagger on the floor and faced Jefferson.

"The three-second countdown has expired. I am sorry, I don't go back on my words"

Everybody was stupefied, they couldn't believe Klaus went against the order of a king of war.

Some of the Commanders and Mayor reached out to attend to Edward who was lying helplessly in his pool of blood.

Tessa was motionless, she had no idea Klaus would continue his motion when the king of war stepped in, Klaus clearly disrespected the king of war, does this mean that Klaus was also not afraid of a king of war?

She was afraid, she didn't know why she was so concerned about Klaus's welfare, yet Klaus looked unbothered, like nothing was at stake.

"How dare you disobey my order"

Jefferson roared at Klaus. His expression changed to a deadly one.

Klaus responded nonchalantly.
