Ch-33

Nobody in WAZs PR team had been able to sleep these nights.

Just when they had gotten comfortable at home,they had been called again to work for countless extra hours on the hardest job they had on their career.

Everybody hadn't been able to close their eyes and had been chugging on huge cups of espresso to keep themselves awake.

The poor workers had been getting numerous calls and they kept getting more and more.They had tried hard to shift the publics attention,but no media was willing to cooperate with them and wouldn't take those pictures down.

It was really different than any other situation or scandal they had to deal with,this time it was to the point that it was a bit weird.

Though the public had always paid attention to celebrity gossip and were particularly active and heated with cheating scandals,the situation had never been so caotic.It was true that Hannah was a public figure,so it was justified if they went after her,but these people were also going after James.James had made a few public apperances and wasn't private on social media accounts,but the media and the public was focusing on him as much as they were focusing on Hannah like he also was a celebrity rather than just another CEO.

Every article talked about him and mentioned Hannah only once or twice like they were obviously targeting him.

The PR team had tried contacting the media companies that posted the articles to take them down.James had been so demanding that he had also given them the green light to use even money just to shut the media companies up.But they had turned down all those huge amounts of money and kept their stance.

James was almost losing his mind.His appearance was all messy.His face was unshaved,his shirt,suit all disheveled and wrinkly and the eyebags made him look like a panda.

Like all the swearing ,curses and compares with Isabel weren't enough,his stocks value was falling.He was losing a lot of money and there was nothing he could do.No one was willing to give him a helping hand,heck some people were even trying to bring him down.His enemies had gotten the opportunity to act and the once close 'friends' refused to answer his calls.

But he wasn't completely hopeless,since he had a backup plan,his 'business parteners'.Just like he couldn't let go,those people couldn't let him go so smiply either.They were using eachother perfectly and getting away with everything together easily,so they wouldn't risk this perfect partenership.As long as James was loyal to them,they would make sure to stay behind him and help him in need,but for now he would wait.

It was just a cheating scandal after all and after a few more days when another scandal would surface.

At least that's what James had thought for these passing days.Even if a new scandal he himself had helped come out,it didn't shift the publics attention from him.His articles was still on the top hot searches and the media companies wouldn't let it go down.What had he done to them?He didn't remember having any personal grudge.Why were they after him?

To make matters worse,his shares value kept falling and falling.Some of the investors had began to sell their shares and abandon him.Was he really ran into a corner?Did he really have to use his last chance?No.He would give it time a few more days again,then he would think it over and decide.

A sudden knock then broke his train of thoughts.

"M-mr.James?"the secretary was stuttering and hesitating to enter.

James gave the cue to enter with a tired voice.He was completely collapsed in his chair.

"What is it?Bothering me now?It better be important."

"Y-you've got to check the news,w-we got a re-report th-that-t-"

"T-t-t!Just spit it out already!"

"Sir we've got a report that the police had found illegal substances in our supply trucks!"

Silence.

"Repeat that again."James voice was calm,but this made the poor secretary even more terrified.

"The police have found illegal substances in our supply trucks."

But before James could react another knock interrupted them.

"Sir,we've got a envelope from-"

*clack*The sound of the cup smashing in the wall next to the employee,made both the poor people shrivel and tremble.Their boss might even kill them from anger.

"What ******* envelope is more important then the situation ,now!You even dare show infront of me!You useless people!"James started throwing a lot of swears.

"But sir this envelope is very important!This envelope is from miss Isabels lawyer!"

James stopped.He had completely forgotten about Isabel midst this caos.He hadn't heard of wheather she was alive,dead or injured.A letter from her lawyer.Is it to inform of her death?Is it for the opening of Isabels testament?

If it was that then that would be great.That meant he would become one of the richest people in the world.Who cares about all this then.He could just pay those people to live him alone.With that amount of many,buying a country wasn't that farfetched.Wait James,let's not get exited too soon.

He urged the employee to hand him over the envelope,but what greeted him wasn't a calling for the read of the testament or for a funeral.James's face was as terrifying as a monsters.It was huge contrast compared to a normal person who would find out their wife hadn't died.

His fingers were gripping the paper,completely crumpling it and his knuckles had gone white.

It wasn't a testament,it was a signed divorce paper?!

No,that can't be.Isabel should be dead.The fact that there were news meant that she was dead and it would take some time to contact him,right?Or,or she was in bad health or a coma so she couldn't have signed this,right?Isabel couldn't know about everything!She couldn't know about Hannah,or the company,anything!She was just a stupid woman that was madly in love with him.Even if she knew she would just ignore it and forgive him.

James tried to hypnotise himself that that was the case.These were just fake.This couldn't be.

The employees tried to make their presence as invisible as possible.They wanted to get out of there,but were too scared since one small movement would draw the attention to them.What if he threw that glass globe on the desk at them next time?That thing was really heavy,neither could guarantee that they'd dogde it.

But to the employees aid came the police who were going to take James to the station.Seceral men in uniform entered the office and took out their badges.

"Mr.Brown,you are onliged to come with us to the station."

James was in such a daze that he didn't notice how he was being walked by the men in uniforms or how thise handcuffs were on his wrists.This couldn't be happening,right?Yeah,this all is just a dream.

Isabel saw James's arrest together with Gael in his room at Isabels house.The doctor had given them the cue to take him home,but he still needed a lot of care and Isabel had hired the best people she could find to be on Gaels dispostion.

Gaels family had already left since they had their own work back in U country.Gaels mother had stayed a bit longer with her husband,but they had also left and trusted Gael with Isabel for a while.

Isabel still kept in touch with them constantly not only for their plans,but also for Gaels condition.

When Isabel had told them that day,they had then discussed the plans they would use to take James down.

After that they had decided for her to notify the police for everything,but since it became a case that involved another countrys citizens,the police station had to contact the U country embassy and try to connect with the police there.

Also the police had eventually caught the people that were involved in Isabels murder attempt.They had admitted that they were given a huge amount of money and soon the police had managed to trace the man that had been following Isabel since from U country.They were really lucky to catch since he had a flight in just a few hours and they could've completely lost him if they were a bit late.The man right now was still under interrogation and it would take a while to make him talk.

During this time Isabel had told her lawyer to send the divorce papers to James and she had delivered them successfully.With the help of Gaels people they had managed to make an anonymous call to the police to check out the supplies that were being sent to another state.These supply trucks were the ones from the records that Oliver had given them.

Gaels father and grandfather also had a few connections with the police and this would make things slide more smoothly.

They would drive James to a corner that he would never be able to escape together with his 'business partners'.Those despicable and evil people would finally get what they deserve.
