Ch-31

After Isabel left the hospital,she first returned home to tell Gaels family the truth.

"Isa,you're finally home!Where did you go so early?"Gaels mother greeted her outside.She was picking a few flowers.She had gotten Isabels premission yesterday,if she could pick a few of them occasionally.She absolutely loved all the flowers here,especially the huge rose that had started to grow as a tree.

"I was at the hospital and visited Gael and stayed with him when he ate breakfast."

"Why did you tire yourself so early?Now that we are here we can take care of him don't put all the weight on yourself.You also had an accident and you also haven't fully recovered.Look at your arm!"

Gaels mother pointed out her casted left arm.

"I am really okay auntie Lili.It's just the cast that makes it scary.And the flowers are really beautiful,what are you planning to do with them?"Isabel tried shifting the topic away from her.

Lilibeth knew that she was trying to change the topic,but decided to cut her some slack.

"We're going to Gael soon,so I decided to pick some fresh flowers for his hospital room.They would really brighten up the room and make his mood better."her eyes were full of care,love and a hit of sadness when she thought of her son who was right now lying on a hospital bed.Isabels guilt resurfaced again,but she did not show it.She just patted Lilibeths back.Lilibeth looked at her.Her golden eyes that were similar to Gaels,were deep and pondering,like trying to get some answer from her,but after a while she sighed and spoke.

"Anyway,Isa,you go and rest since you went out early today.We'll be going to the hospital now.If you waited for us we could all go together,but alas go rest now."

Isabel knew that all of them deep down wanted to ask why Gael was here.And probably by now they might've noticed that their relationship was slightly different than a few months ago.They were more comfortable with eachother and the space they used to keep for the respect of their spouses was gone.

Gaels family was kind and thoughtful enough not to ask.They wanted them to open about this by themselves,without any questioning nor pressure.

Today Isabel would answer those questions they had.

"Auntie Lily,before you leave there is something I need to tell you,all of you."

Seeing her being so serious,Lilibeth also got serious.

"Isa,is something wrong?"

"I guess you can call it that.It is very important and involves both me and Gael and possibly the accident."

Lilibeths face changed color.

"I'll go and notify the others."

"Thank you.I'll be waiting for all of you in the study then."

After a while,all the Laurier,parents,children had entered the study room,looking at Isabel with serious expressions.

"Isa,is something wrong?"

"Mom told us you had something to tell us."

"Yeah,she said it was really important."

"Thank you all for coming here.The thing I'm about to tell you is most certainly going to shock you.Both me and Gael discussed it this morning and he thought that it would be better for you to know.The person Hannah was having an affair with is James my husband.Me and Gael were the ones who leaked the photos and purposefully blurred his face out because we wanted to deal with them eachtime,and James was the trickiest one."

The Laurier were all shocked and staring with eyes wide open.Gaels wife and Isabels husband having an affair together?Even though those two had met,it wasn't so often for the two of them to form a connection like that.And Gael and Isabel knew for so long and kept quiet for a better revenge?

"Wait,wait,wait?"Gaels younger sister could barely process all of it."You two knew for at least a few weeks.How did you find this out?"

Isabel sighed and pointed at the sofas and armchairs at the front.

"It's better if you sit.This is gonna be a long story."then Isabel started narrating from the beginning.How she had returned to suprise her husband,but found him on her bed with her friend.Found out that he had only approached her for her inheritance,while her friend out of jealousy for her had tried getting close to Gael and then her husband.She showed them how James was making illegal dealings and using Hannah as a coverup.Isabel also told them that somebody had tried to kill her and that one of the main suspects might be her adulterous husband.She didn't leave out a single detail.

In the end the Laurier who had been listening seriously the whole time were all looking at her baffeled while not knowing what to say.

"I know this might be a burden and possibly even put you in a difficult situation,but I need your help.For the sake of this revenge I need your support and maybe even some of your resources

But you don't need to feel pressured.You aren't forced to accept anyway,since it's my problem and you aren't obliged to help me fix it."

"No,we WILL help!"

"After knowing all that.We can't let it go so easily."

"You and Gael are our family,of course we'll help."

"We'll show them how no one dare to mess with our family."

Being constantly considered family by these people made Isabels heart filled with warmth.Yes,they are her family and she would try her best for them not to be in harms way.

Gaels borther finally asked the important question.

"What are you planning to do?"

"Me and Gael have been collecting evidence during these last months.We were planning to continue this until we had enough evidence to put them in prison and then take over the company.We were both planning to be partners since we both contributed."

"And Gael wanted part of it?"

"Yes,he did."

"Interesting."

This time Gaels father asked.

"But you seem to have changed your plans for now.You earlier mentioned that you want to sunk him low as quickly as possible and remove this problem."

"Yes,I did.I decided to start with tonight.My first step is giving him something to have to work with so he won't have any attention on the other side and them we strike there."

Gaels fathers eyes glinted with a hint of slyness.

"Hmm,tell me more."
