Shatter the Bad Ending!

[Restore The Crown] This was the novel that I was tasked to review as a contestant for our yearly webnovel event and as someone who had to probably read hundreds of novels by now. It was utter garbage, it was full of overdone tropes and cliches that you could have seen from a mile away. A bland and mary sue protagonist ✓ A list of heroines who fall in love and become obsessed with the protagonist instantly ✓ A myriad of villains who have no other personality other than to hate and try to kill the protagonist ✓ They were all there. Except for the surprisingly catchy title, there was no other positive thing about this novel. But was pissed me off the most was the ending. With no build-up and seemingly out of nowhere, most of the heroines were killed and the world that they lived in became hell on earth. It was literally revealed in a couple of chapters and was clearly done just to shock the readers. Honestly, I wish I could restore the time I wasted reading this novel. But as I said my criticism to the author. The f*cker shot me in the head! (I proofread my chapters by myself, sadly I am only human, so if you find any mistakes, kindly point them out and I will fix them as soon as possible) (This is my first attempt at writing novels, to those who keep on reading despite the occasional mistakes here and there, I thank you from the bottom of my heart and I will promise to be a better author, anyways have a nice day and please never build galeforce on twitch, if you do, you don't deserve 8 hours of sleep, that is all, thank you)

Celebration (4)

"Sharpen your ears and eyes tonight, Duke,"

"The Traceless Terror is here,"

[<Mirage has been activated>]

[<Discreet Steps has been activated>]

Whew...

My mind thought back to how fast Duke Gerald's sword was earlier.

If I activated my skill [Mirage] a little later I would have been drinking tea with my gran-gran by now.

But thankfully other than that my plan went well without a hiccup.

Alright, time to go back.

[<Companions of Crows have been deactivated>]

After sending my crows back home, I made my way back to the restroom and changed my clothes.

"Hey, look who's here."

I utter a smile seeing the reddened face of Wyatt waving at me from afar.

"Dude, what took you so long?"

"Had to take a number two,"

Wyatt looked at me with one of his eyebrows raised.

I utter a cough and opened my mouth.

"Where's Mark and Kyle? weren't they supposed to be drinking with you?"

"Nah, they ditched me to hit on girls, what did you expect?"

Another chuckle left my mouth.

"Hey, you saved any drinks for me?"

As the party continued, me and Wyatt were on the couch nearby sipping exquisite wine.

Being used to only cheap beer and soju in my past life.

I couldn't help but smile as I tasted each and every single one.

"Hey, simmer down, Troi, we might have to carry you out of here if you drink at that pace,"

As I was about to say something.

"Nobles!, Sir Duke Gerald Coldfeather is making an entrance,"

A loud voice echoed,

The chatter and laughter immediately came to a stop as everyone gazed their eyes above.

There stood a man with a masculine build, his left eye was covered with an eyepatch, and his hair and beard were white due to old age but the presence he gave was that of a seasoned warrior.

Next to him, was a sight every man below was waiting for.

Cassandra Coldfeather,

Her red hair and velvet dress melted the hearts of men, the freckles on her face and allure figure only strengthened their gaze.

No one dared to look away.

"I apologize everyone for making you wait this long, but alas, I present you, my dear old daughter,"

Cheers erupted inside the hall,

"A toast!"

Cassandra raised up her arm, there was a drink in her hand.

"To the future of the Coldfeather,"

"To my late mother!"

"And,"

Cassandra turned her head towards Duke Gerald.

"To my loving-"

A screeching sound could be heard.

Then in the blink of an eye.

*CLANG*

A clashing of steel.

As I got a clearer look.

A grey hooded figure was now on the balcony, her face was covered in black cloth only revealing her fierce blue eyes,

It was none other than the legendary assassin herself.

Both of her blades which seek to slit Gerald's neck open were stopped by a red-coated sword.

"I was told you were coming,"

I could see her head slightly jerk back.

It was evident she was shocked.

"Guards!,"

The standstill was interrupted by a booming voice that came from Duke Gerald,

Then not a moment after, guards surrounded the hall.

All of their swords were coated in purple and I can see some of the mages readying their spells.

The Terror was surrounded and outnumbered.

I utter a small smile.

The Terror knowing her plan was thwarted jumped off the balcony.

The guards below that were waiting for her readied their blades.

But before she could hit the ground,

Her entire body became covered in black.

And soon,

Disappeared.

"Tsk,"

She got away.

"Wh-what the hell just happened?"

I looked beside me and saw Wyatt's drink had spilled on the ground.

I took a sip with mine,

The cherry flavor with a hint of carbonation.

Made my stomach feel tingly.

But nonetheless, I drank it whole.

My plan had worked.

Now Cassandra won't delve into madness,

Although the only thing I am worried about is now that Gerald is alive, how would Reynold fit in her story?

I'll think of a plan later,

For now,

It is time for me to celebrate.

The night is still young after all.
