First Day (3)

Back to the present~ A couple months later

Today was finally the day! The first day of school. He wasn't excited because of forming friends or something. He was excited because he knew Ozpin put out an exam test for the first day. Perks of being friends with him. He wanted to know what kind of exam could be given to him. Was it grims, robots, teachers, he didn't know.

'Before I met Ozpin and his group, I was weak but now I'm pretty sure I can even beat Glynda. Although, I haven't seen her use her full power neither have they.' He was now 6 ft tall and his looks were more defined. Before he had good looks but was looked as a teenager. Now he looked more like an adult. (He's 17 btw)

He went in the airship taking all students from Vale to go to Beacon. In there he looked at the students he saw. Most of them didn't catch his attention but some did. There was one with a suitcase instead of a weapon and the other who caught his attention was a Faunus with bunny ears who also wielded no weapon.

'Two girls having no weapon? How did they even come to this school? Maybe they're brawlers but even brawlers wear some kind of glove or gauntlet for their weapon.' He narrowed his eyes. 'Their weapon must be hidden. That girl with sunglasses can probably transform that suitcase into a weapon. And that Faunus girl is probably hiding her weapon.'

He secretly made a mental note to watch over them when a hologram of Glynda appeared. "Hello and welcome to Beacon. My name is Glynda Goodwitch. You are among a prestigious few who have received the honour of being selected to attend to this prestigious academy. Our world is experiencing a great time of peace, and as future Huntsman and huntresses, it is your duty to uphold it. You have demonstrated the courage needed for such a task, and now it is our turn to provide you with the knowledge to protect our world." With that her hologram disappeared.

Everyone began looking at the windows and seeing the scenery while talking to each other. Faith simply sat down and closed his eyes. The airship soon landed and everyone went out. The entrance ceremony was beginning in a couple of minutes so most people went there immediately. They soon arrived and Ozpin welcomed them to the new school. His speech was somewhat odd and mysterious but Faith was used to it. He had been working with Ozpin for over 2 years now since Qrow brought him to them. He wasn't allowed into their circle of trust for now but he had been going on missions given by them.

Most of the time he spent killing Grimms that were going near the city or tracking bandits or robbers. Especially, Roman Torchwicks robbery and the White Fang. Although he was protective of the Faunus race, it didn't mean that he was merciful to all of them. In his eyes, the White Fang was originally a peace making group but now they attack everyone including civilians. They're now racist towards all humans including children. Mercilessly killing every human they come across.

Soon Glynda said things about the school but he ignored it. It was soon night and everyone was in a gigantic room like having a sleepover. He was about to go to sleep when a giant of a man was in front of him. He was clearly of Asian origins and was in his pyjamas.

His pyjamas was clearly not for someone so threatening as it was filled with tulips. 'That really doesn't fit for someone his size.' The giant man then said. "I'm sorry for blocking your way. I'll be going now." He began walking away and Faith was about to go as well but then stopped when he remembered what Ozpin said to him once. "Faith you going to this school will help you. Making friends is one of the first step to going towards the path of strength. Teamwork will be important when you can't beat someone by yourself."

He gritted his teeth and called the man. "Hey wait!"

The man turned around looking at him with a puzzled look. "Is something wrong?"

'Gah! This is going to be so embarrassing! Ozpin, this better be worth it or you're going to pay.' Faith cleared his throat. "Want to be friends?" The man just stared blankly at him. He felt that he was going to die from embarrassment.

The man's face then lightened up. "Yes! I mean of course I would like to." At the end, he regained his composure. "Actually I don't have many friends but now I guess now at Beacon becoming friends is easier than before." A weary smile was on him.

"Yeah I was at Signal Academy but I didn't have many friends. I guess I was too busy training and getting stronger." He awkwardly scratched his head with a smile. "What's your name?"

"My name is Yatsuhashi Daichi but you can call me Yatsu. And yours?"

"Faith. Faith Alistair." They walked to their futon and continued to talk to each other all night before sleeping.

The next morning, they both stayed together and went to the locker room. They were already wearing their combat uniform. "Hey Faith, I heard that it's going to be teams of 4. We should be together in group."

"Yeah, we should be on the same team. By the way, I forgot to ask this but what's your weapon and semblance."

Yatsu then brought out a gigantic sword. "This is my weapon. It's a gigantic sword and it's name is Fulcrum. As for my semblance, well I don't like talking about it." A sad smile was formed.

"Don't worry, you don't need to tell me. Anyways, this is my weapon." He brought out his weapon that was transformed as a pair of sticks stuck to each other on his back. "This is my weapon. A spear and its name is Gungnir." His weapon became a spear that was almost as tall as he was.

"All first year students please report to Beacon Cliff. Again All first year students please report to Beacon Cliff." Glynda's voice sounded in the intercom.

"Guess we should head there first before the exam starts."
