Chapter 3

Sonic and his friends arrive at the ARK'S dock. They walk in the halls to find the control room. I go to the intercom and say. "Greetings my little intruders what brings you to the ARK?"

"Where is Eggman!" Sonic says to me. "I was hoping that I would find him in a place like this."

"You mean that scientist that is always trying to win against you?"

"Yeah that sounds like him. " 

"Well you just missed him. As we speak my friend Shadow is putting him in his ship. I'm the one who beat him up bad. He won't be using the Eclipse Cannon for world domination."

"What was he going to do with it?"

"Are you sure you want to know?"

"Definitely!"

"here was his plan…" I explain the situation that I averted. They agreed that what I did was the right thing to do. They were also glad that I was on their side, but they wanted to meet me in person. "Give me a minute to disable the emergency protocol that I set up." I move to the central control unit and say. "Disable protocol Safeguard."

"By your command USL." The ARK system said to me. "Program shutdown complete."

I move back to the intercom and say, "Come here to the central control room. I will send you a map. I expect to see you here in 8 minutes."

"I can be there in 8 seconds easy." Sonic told me.

"Stick with your friends I don't want you to get lost."

6 minutes later:

"We're here!."

"I've been waiting for this day Sonic. It's nice to finally meet you my friend. I am known as USL." I hold my hand out to shake Sonic's hand.

He grabs it and says, "It's nice to meet you too."

"Welcome to the ARK."

As I finish my sentence Shadow appears beside me and says, "Hello again Sonic."

"You again! What are you doing here!?"

"Shadow is my associate that I helped create. He won't attack you again I forbid it. The same goes for you Sonic. Do you understand me."

"Yes sir." They both agree.

"Now let's get you guys back to Earth. Shadow and I have business to attend to." They leave the room, but I stop Tails and say, "Here are some designs for something that you can use later on. Also don't forget about me ok."

"Thanks mister this looks neat. I'll get to making this right away." Tails says as he leaves the room.

"Shadow now we can get to work.

A few weeks pass and Project homebound is set in motion. I went down to Earth for some supplies and found out that Sonic and his friends and Dr. Eggman were being sent away forever. I rush into the president's office and say."You don't have to work on the project."

"And why is that USL?" He asked me.

"I already have it finished. So I can deal with the power and you guys get everyone to the location. Here is the best part of my version of the project anyone can go to Sonic's world without any problems."

"I see, Then let's send them home so time doesn't come to a stop."

"Yes sir. I'll have my friend bring it down from the ARK."

"Just hurry up with it."

I speak into my com-link and say, "Engage operation homebound."

I look at the president and say,

"It's on its way to the bridge in Station Square. Your Eggman and Sonic worries are over. After they go we can move the portal to somewhere out of the way. So that it can be a tourist attraction."

"That will do wonders for the people who will miss Sonic."

"And it will pay off the debt of your country."

"I guess it will."

I look at my wrist and say, "It's in place Mr. President. Are they ready to go yet?"

"They are packing now."

"I'll be at the site getting ready." I go to the place where it is and start to finish up the preparations for the machine. Shadow is there helping me with the setup. 

An hour later Sonic and his friends and Dr. Eggman arrive to leave. I started up the machine and it worked. I explain the situation to the family that they stayed with. The boy was happy and so were the parents. Sonic will visit once in awhile, and the schools will take trips there. When it was all finished Shadow and I moved out of the ARK and kept it firing at the portal forever. We moved to Sonic's world and stayed there.
