Chapter 2

I spent countless hours looking for a clue what Gerald wanted Shadow to do. I haven't seen anything that hints me to take him somewhere or leave him here. I look through the records on ARK and found out that the Project Shadow file is locked. So I guess the password is USL.

"Incorrect passkey imputed put in correct password to live." The ARK system said.

I put in the passkey Maria. 

"Correct passkey opening Project Shadow file."

"What are you doing USL?" Shadow asked me.

"Trying to find out what you were created for because I can't remember why."I tell him. "This file hasn't been looked at for years. I want to know what Gerald wanted you to do."

"Now I want to know as well. You have intrigued me."

"What do you remember Shadow?"

"Not enough to tell you much. I can't remember Gerald that much. My head hurts from thinking too much about it."

"Well this file is useless to us then. It tells us very little about you and Maria."

"Damn!" Shadow slammed his fist on the ARK desk unit. "Where is the information you and I seek!"

"Eggman might know about it. Bring him to me and I will get the information from him."

"This won't be easy, but I'll do it for you."

"I believe in you Shadow. Good luck and give him what he deserves."

"Chaos Control now!"

10 hours later:

Eggman is lying at my feet with Shadow at the door."I brought you Dr. Eggman, USL."

"Good work Shadow." I kick Eggman to wake him up. "Get up you fool."

"Why are you doing this to me USL and Shadow. I thought Shadow was on my side." Eggman complains.

"I told him to bring you to me. I have a few questions for you, but first Shadow go check the ARK security system for Intruders I don't want any interruptions."

"As you wish USL." Shadow says that as he leaves the room.

"Now Eggman what do you know of Gerald's plan for Shadow. I know you have his diary."

"He planned to use Shadow for revenge on this world. So he needed someone to wake Shadow up. I was going to use the Eclipse Cannon to rule the world, but you stopped me from doing anything."

"Do you know why I stopped you. I can tell you that is my job. I was chose to be the guard of this place because of my immortality. I was also the creator of this place and Project Shadow's main founder. I suggested that we make the Ultimate Life Form." I turned to the central control unit and typed in my username and password to the ARK files. "Take a look at the records I kept on the project."

Eggman looks through my file and says. "This is everything that you accomplished with my grandfather. I wish to study this for when I do something like this."

I quickly close the file so that he couldn't take any information from it. "That is enough for now."

"Can you teach me how to make a creature like Shadow or the annoying hedgehog I am dealing with."

"You mean to kill Sonic. Remember I can't be fooled by you, or your plans." as I say that Shadow rushes into the room saying "USL we have a problem. Sonic is coming to the ARK. I don't know what to do."

"You do nothing; let me deal with them. Get him out of my colony." I point at Eggman. "He's no longer useful to me."

"I understand USL; Chaos Control now." He grabs Eggman and leaves.

"Now I have to deal with Sonic and his friends." I turn to the central control unit and say. " Engage emergency protocol Safeguard."

"Understood USL. What are your parameters of the program?" The central control unit says to me.

"Stun all intruders and lock down the facility. It's time for battle."
