Chapter 4 : A normal life

Part 1

Three months have past since the mountain incident in Russia.Inei finds himself in a hospital in Japan.His eyes open disoriently . Besides him is his little sister Himari who was sleeping with her head partialy on top of Inei's left side.On the far end, he could make out a voice that he recognizes as his mothers, Fumiko Yoshida.

"it's been three months and your son shows no sign of recovery."A voice lays out the facts and options Inei's mother had.

"It has been discussed by the board and the hospital has decided that it's time to use the hospital's resources for those who might actually need it.Frankly speaking, your son's insurance was depleted long ago and you definitely can't afford to keep him here any longer "

"What are we gonna do ? What are we gonna do!! ,Aomine?"Inei's mother slowly looses energy on the knees crumbling down onto the floor.

"Ooh my beautiful son?"Inei's mother began to wail uncontrollably ,her cries pierce the odd silence of the hospital.

As the news sank in ,Aomine , Inei's older brother who was as emotional as a storm-tossed sea joined her mother in wailing filling the room with a raw gut-wrenching sound.

Inei, couldn't hold his tears in no more, he raised his index finger tapping on his sister Himari .

Himari opens her eyes ,which were drooping from exhaustion and perhaps a bit of emotional strain from crying over long a period of time.It was obvious she had been crying all night.As she brushes her eyes ,she sees her big brother awake ,a smile slowly spreads across her face,tears rolling down her cheeks as she opens her arms readying to embrace her big brother.She jumps and clings to him screaming,"Onii chan! Onii chan!! Don't ever close your eyes again.Onii chaan!"

Inei's mother and brother ceased their cries , looking at Inei with disbelief and they too jumped onto him spilling tears of joy.They were all ecstatic.

It took two days for him to speak,two weeks for him to sit on his own and two months for him to stand .The doctors were all so astonished by his miraculous recovery that they offered to clear their hospital bill as long as he stays in their hospital.Many other hospitals offered the same after Inei was featured in the Tokyo Shimbun daily newspaper.

It is a peaceful and Serene day at the hospital.Himari and Inei are taking a stroll around the hospital which has been Inei's home for many a months.

"What really happened on your trip ,big brother?"Himari inquired in her usually low pitched voice.

"Kawaii!!"Inei's says making Himari slightly Embarrassed that her small, round face blushed red.

You see ,dear readers,Inei was the type of guy who was obsessed with his little sister.He always favors her by siding with her even if she is on the wrong.She was his little cutie, whom he always expresses his adoration and affection in an indeering way.

As Inei continues to tease Himari,two suits approached them.They walked with pursose and their steps were measured and deliberate.They exuded an air of professionalism and confidence.Their Expressions serious but not unfriendly.

"Are you Inei Haruki Kamado?" One of the suits inquired.

"Yes ,how can I help you Mr....."Inei replied as he skillfully inquired about their identity.

"I am detective Asahi Daiki and this is...

Haruto akimitsu."They said flashing their badges over Inei's face.

"I would like to ask you about what happened five months ago in Russia during your class trip."

"We heard that you made a lot of people worried during your little accident"The two took turns asking questions as if it was scripted.

"Are they gonna act bad cop good cop on me?"Inei asked himself.

"Well am just gonna play the I don't remember card . Although I myself can't even make out what really happened.That stuff about Kai sh**t can't be real.I must have been delirious because of my fall".

"How come you disappeared from where you fell.What happened? People don't just wake up and start walking after the kind of fall you took?do they?"

"Slow down Akimitsu san.Its not like we are accusing him or anything.Can't you see he is still recuperating? And you maybe igniting his past trauma. Maybe you should be a little linient to the kid .I am sure he would tell us if anything had happened that day , isn't that right Inei?" The supposedly good cop asked craftly but Inei was already prepared for that sh**t.

"I am sorry that I wasted your trip, but I can't recall anything except for my cute little sister.I am tired and I don't even remember where I live good sir"Inei shuts even the possibility of a follow up question forcing the suits to give away their cards and take their leave.

As they walk away, Aomine turns up.He passes past the suits giving them a nasty look showing that they are old acquaintances.

"Friends of yours bro?"

"Nah ! They are from the National police agency headquarters.I had to work on a case with them.They definitely didn't like that,ha ha ." Aomine chuckles after saying that.

"Let's get you inside.Maybe even start packing for tomorrow. It will be great to have you home and at the store aha ha aha .

Part 2.

"Shade ,Echo,how is my young Kamado fairing?"

"All is going according to plan ,my Lord"

"My Lord ,how did you know he was going to set an extra condition in the contract? How long have you been planning this?"

Asks Echo with admiration.

"From the beginning,since his seal broke and his Kai flowed naturally without him even noticing it.He has great potential that kid."Erebus explains.

"Keep watch over him . Don't let him notice you.Also, find me a good motivation that will make him do my bidding,"Erebus pauses then asks, "How are his stats? I can't take shelter in the shadows anymore,am running out of energy."

"He isn't ready yet.With you as comparison he needs to at least have 10%of the physical stats you had in your mortal body."Echo insinuates.

"Give me numbers.I want to know what I am working with here?."

Echo takes out a sheet of paper and quill revealing the stats she had surveyed from when she saw Inei's battle with her master.

"Through my calculations,I put him at level one.That is in relative to you who was at level one hundred and sixty when you were mortal.Young Kamado has to reach level 16 for his body to able to host you."

"Watch him for a day or two.Let him have a normal human life for a while before his life changes.Also compose a suitable training regimen for a smooth transition.Now both of you! Look after him and explore the morden world.You have been locked up for too long.

Erebus orders etched themselves into Shade and Echo's skull and they vanish into the dark.
