Chapter 9

As time passed, Daniel was in his bedroom, sitting on the bed while deep thinking.

He had been thinking about it for the past month..

Why?

Because he was searching for his wife, Lily, everywhere. Not just Kouh Town but even Kyoto and the entire Tokyo.

It might be hard on normal people, but if we talked about his power then we would find that it was easy for him.

He was spreading his senses and mana around searching for anyone who could be related to him, as the being who reincarnated him didn't tell him how he would know or the signs for it. Just told him that when he met her, he would know.

So using his senses and mana, he was searching crazily.

Not even once, since his reincarnation in this damn world, forgot his wife, he won't and can't forget. Her memories are unforgettable to him, even when he saved Shuri, he didn't think of anything but Liliana and where she was. He thought for a moment that she was Lily but remembering that being's words, he calmed down and focused. He noticed that he didn't feel anything from her, not even a connection.

The reason why he offered her to live in his mansion was to take care of it while he go out and search for Lily.

Although he could do this by making his shadows take care of it and even clean it, he has abundance of them after all, but he didn't because he wanted to change them and change the plot of this world.

One of his hobbies discovered in his past life was looking for potentials and honing them to make them shine brightly and beautifully like gems.

And he knew that there was a potential in the woman and her daughter so he wanted to train them make them stronger and release all of their potential that wasn't in the original.

He just let Igris or Beru train them while he go search for Lily.

They are experts after all, while supervising their progress frequently every once in a week.

Now back to him.

'So she is not in Kyoto and Tokyo hmmmmm....'

'Well, before going to the next plan, I should just make sure that she is not in here, in Japan or even out of it. No matter the time, I will search even the entire world and if didn't find her, then go for the next plan.'

'I will train and become even stronger to make the rates go high so I can have a chance to find her.'

Daniel was using all of his brain cells to look for Lily, he knew that she was one of the characters of this world and powerful at that, but this world is vast and have a lot of powerful characters so she could be one of them, because of that he decided to search the whole world.

It won't take much time, maybe 2 or 3 years at most.

Time passed again, and 2 years had passed.

During those two years, Daniel trained hard and searched for Lily like a fanatic while he made his shadows, Igris and Beru train Shuri and Akeno, and at some point he made Tusk train them as well.

They had a potential for magic, especially the Lightning magic which was a powerful magic with high destructive power. But Akeno had another element which was the Holy element that she inherited from her father.

So she trained that element as well beside Lightning.

Everyday they were growing stronger and stronger increasing their power even more, Shuri being the most increase as Akeno was still a child and her training wasn't harsh like her mother.

Daniel also didn't ignore himself and trained his power even more, making himself closer and closer to darkness and death, making him a step closer to the embodiment of death and darkness.

He knew that as some point, he would have the power to make a portal to go other worlds and even his home world, so he found a secondary purpose for training beside finding his wife.

He didn't have time for women or anything, he wanted his wife back, he didn't care about women other than his wife.

So yeah, he didn't save Shuri for her looks or anything like being attracted to her or something, he just saw a potential, a talent and wanted to hone this talent and make it prevail.

Nothing more, nothing less.

After searching the whole world, he didn't find her.

Some may say: why didn't you get search the mainstream characters like the heroins and supporting characters?

The answer is that the being didn't specify what character she is reincarnated into.

She just said that she was reincarnated as character in that world literally, so she can be a  character he didn't hear about or heard about.

Either way, he will find her in the end, not matter how many years has to pass, he will, and that feeling he felt when his heart raced suddenly when preparing the dinner 2 years ago that was the same as what he felt when he met Lily made him sure that she was looking for him as well which made him more determined to find her.

Currently Daniel was walking back from the supermarket toward his mansion with a bag of groceries in his hand that was for the week.

During those two years, he made quite the sum of money by making a music company as a front to sell his songs.

They were a big hit and loved by many people especially women. They loved his voice and songs.

He made several albums and sold them gaining more profit.

Now no one doesn't know about him, and of course he didn't use his real name, he used a fake one.

It was Sloth.

It just came to his mind when he thought about it, so it's okay.

Anyway, he walked with steady steps admiring the moon while swimming in the sea of memories of his wife and family. Remembering every one of them made him smile and sometimes laugh softly when he remembered some of the funny situations when his wife put salt in the tea rather than sugar making him have a very funny expression which made her laugh so hard at him.

It was so funny times indeed. (A/N: Yeah, I like those memories too.)

The streets were quite empty by the way so no one looked at him as if he was a weird guy or something. So it's safe except for a woman who was coming back from work and saw him laughing with himself which made her also laugh while thinking that he was quite a strange handsome guy.

Daniel didn't feel the flow of time until he reached in front of his mansion.

'Oh, seems like I was so deep in my memories that I forgot the flow of time around me. Anyway,' he thought as he was about to enter through the gates but then..

Rattle!

Rattle!

He heard sound coming from the bushes of the forest beside the mansion.

Turning toward the source, he saw two people coming out of it.

One was an old man with grey hair and black suit and the other was a little girl with red crimson hair.

She had a single strand pointing upward that was called ahoge in Japanese or something.

She had blue eyes that seemed to sparkle under the night sky making her look beautiful and cute.

But Daniel looked at both of them with indifference.

When the two came out, they found a tall man with jet black hair and grey eyes looking at them with indifference making them surprised that there was someone here, but looking at the mansion, they understood that he might be the owner of this mansion or something.

Daniel didn't say anything and just stood there waiting for them to speak or do something.

He already knows who they are, but didn't say it or they would be suspicious of him and even consider him one of their enemies who wanted to kidnap the little girl or kill them both.

The little girl was of course Rias Gremory, the official heiress of the Gremory house while the old man, he didn't remember his name or position at all.

Although he watched the anime, but that was several years ago in his past life, he of course couldn't remember.

However, looking at the two people, they didn't have any malice or bad intentions so the defenses of the house didn't turn on and alarm him.

He of course felt them and already sent one of his shadows to investigate. After all, he wasn't swimming in the sea of memories without giving any attention to his surroundings, even that woman back then.

The world is dangerous and anything can happen.

"Oh, a human. What is he doing here?" The little girl spoke getting Daniel's attention as he looked at her with his grey eyes that seemed to look deeply at her as if nothing could be hidden from them.

The girl blushed hard and felt her face becoming hotter while looking at him.

'So handsome~'

Daniel didn't care about the little girl's reaction and looked back at the old man.

"This is supposed to be my question, what are the devils doing here?"

Once they heard that, they became on alert especially the old man, who he didn't remember his name..

He didn't expect a human to know that they were devils.

"Who are you?!" The old man immediately asked while his power was surging while the little Rias was looking at Daniel with nervousness and a little blush on her face which went unnoticed by the old man but not Daniel who didn't care.

The old man stood in front of Rias and looked at Daniel seriously.

"How did you know that we were devils? After all you are just a human."

"Just because of that I can't know that you are devils? And on what base you judged me to be a human?" Daniel said coldly while his eyes glowed in purple making the old man flinch and feel his instincts screaming to run away from here and go back to the underworld, no, even the Underworld wasn't a safe place from him or any place.

Only death was awaiting for him.

Gulp!

He gulped his saliva and was sweating.

"What is your purpose here?" Daniel said every word with deep cold voice making the old man and the little girl shudder.

"W-We were here because my young lady wanted to see the human world. Hope we didn't offend you, sir." The old man said with respect, making Daniel retract his pressure a little.

The pressure was invisible, and its only purpose was to inject fear in their hearts and nothing else.

This is the natural pressure of the Shadow Monarch, that just by standing there, the targets will feel fear and start to hallucinate like crazy.

But Daniel made it just inject fear and nothing more.

Daniel nodded and retracted his pressure completely, making those two sigh. He knew he wasn't lying as he observed his heart beats and blood pressure along with spiritual senses that could detect lies and more.

Then suddenly, Daniel vanished and appeared in front of the old man and whispered some word to him before going back to his previous place.

The old man had a widened eyes and nodded toward Daniel before bowing and said "Then, we won't disturb you anymore, sir."

"But, I want to roam the human world," Rias pouted cutely while buffing her cheeks like a hamster.

"There is something more important than that Young lady, we need to go back to the underworld world immediately." The old man said to Rias making her sigh and agree.

But before teleporting, she looked back at Daniel and said "Bye Bye Oni-chan." While waving before a crimson magic circle appeared under her and the old man then they both disappeared.

Daniel sighed softly before going inside the mansion as well. He wanted to make a special dinner today after all.

Maybe it was a short confrontation but it would change the plot significantly in the future.
