Weekly Quest!

After sleeping for more than half a day, Quinn finally got up at 5 AM to go out and complete his daily quest, guaranteeing 5 AP.

"Hmm," Quinn said as he did his planche push-ups, "This is too easy now... . I can complete this quest in less than 8 minutes, I'm pretty sure."

And, within 6 minutes, he was already done with the daily quest, not the slightest bit tired. The other people in the park looked him as if they were looking at a monster, too far outside of the scope of a human. 'Although boring, I can't be mad about free stat points... .' he thought.

[Appraisal Complete: The Daily Quest is deemed to be too Easy and Unsatisfactory to the Shadow Heart as the Rewards are insignificant. Therefore, a new Quest will be introduced.]

[Weekly Quest: Clear the Random Instance Dungeon of a Chanllenging difficulty

[The Purpose of the Shadow Heart is to make the Last Standing Shadow unnoticeable to the Gods, the Great Old Ones and the Higher Will, prepare the Last Standing Shadow to be strong enough to execute fair justice and end the reign of the Higher Will, eliminating them, and waking up.]

[The User will surely be hundreds of times stronger than the average Ring-Bearer and reveal themselves at the Finale. The Shadow Heart will help the User by revealing what was previously hidden due to the influence of the Higher Will, and exploint any and all methods for the User to grow.]

[The User Interface of the System has been updated according the to User's preferences...

An EXP counter and progression bar has been added.

The Shop has been Expanded; some Items will remain Sealed or Locked to keep the User safe.

Titles and their Effects will remain hidden, but they will take effect on the User.]

"I was gonna do that without you telling me, y'know," Quinn said, "What do I experiment with first...? I've too much stuff in my arsenal now. Void, you are there, right? Tell me about Energies... ."

'Hmm, yes,' Void replied, 'Energy is something that exists beyond the realm of the conventional physics that you humans study. Energy transcends the limitations of the physical world and delves into the essence of existence itself. It embodies the primordial forces that shape reality, the cosmic currents that flow through the universe, and the raw potentiality that underlies all creation. But, the energies that exist now are less intertwined than the Primordial Energies, and exist as a whole, by themselves; take, for example: Elemental Energy.

'Energy is not something you merely manipulate and utilise. Thus, my astonishment with the Energies that you can control. It is with the help of the Unification of these Primordial Energies—the Origin Energy and Demise Energy—and Arcane or Astral Energy that you can ascend to higher dimensions of being. Although, it is the first time I have seen the three of these Primordial Energies manifest in a single body. I cannot help but wonder... what you truly are.'

"Hey, isn't being special a good thing, though? Hmm?" Quinn asked cheekily. 'Not necessarily' Void said, 'It will just cause discord and affect the causality of this realm. And, this level of talent is bound to fell even the greatest of gods. Thus, they will try and pluck you right out of the bud.'

Quinn couldn't help but sigh and just move forward, encountering his first enemy. Well, first 20 enemies.

"What the fuck are those?"

'I guess those Gargoyles are Mini-bosses,' Quinn hid himself in the vast wastelands of a post-apocalyptic settlement, rampart with numerous abominations. The architechture of the settlement resembled that of the Victorian Era. Quinn scaled a builing that looked that a demolished clock-tower.

From the top, he observed the surrounding area, creating a virtual map by manipulating and materialising the Energy. "Let's see... " he began observing the fluctuations in the Energy field that he placed over the landscape. "Well, I've located the Boss-monster, at least, " he said, "It looks like a Skeleton guy. Curious... ."

"Well... let's- oh, wait," Quinn opened the shop as he squatted atop the clock-tower, "I forgot that my Berserker Claw Dagger is ass now. I should buy a new one."

"Man..." said Quinn, "I'm fucking broke. Haah... . It can't be helped. I'll have to do with a Black Knife and my left hand."

He got up and looked over the landscape with squinted eyes as the giant red Sun set. "Hmm... . Let's do this~" he grinned.

Quinn jumped from the 90 metre high tower towards the previous group of monsters. He conjured 10 Shadow Blades, manipulating them as he approached the hostiles. With the velocity complimenting his power, he knee-striked the [Perma-frost Gargoyle], obliterating and shattering it into pieces. With the Shadow Blades, he pierced and eliminated the Chimeras, manipulating them such that each of the Blades hit multiple targets, leaving only the [Eternal-flame Gargoyle].

The [Eternal-flame Gargoyle], as opposed to the [Perma-frost Gargoyle], was covered in dark-red flames; its outer, rock shell, melting into magma. "I don't wanna touch that... ."

Quinn activated Shadow Control and manipulated the abysmal Shadow into a giant hand, crushing the Gargoyle and spurtzing its magma all over the place. "Hmph. Origin Energy is really useful in these kinds of situations," said Quinn as he used Origin Energy to collect all of the magma that flew over to his side, and creating a compressed orb of dark-red magma.

"I guess I'm a bit overpowered for even these B-rank monsters, eh?" Quinn checked the surrounding with his Arcane Energy again, visualising a map: "Let's see... . The nearest group of monsters is about half a kilometre away from here. Short distance," he said, "Welp, let's go-!"

He dashed onwards, towards the group of monsters, using [Instantaneous Acceleration] and breaking the sound barrier, and covering almost twice the desired distance.
