Pandora's POV
Her heart was coming to a clunking stop, her brain whirring around. She lost her stance for a moment, but she tried to hid the fear that suddenly engulfed her.
"Why are you still standing there?" Jose called out to her.
Suddenly the door opened and Max entered. His gaze instantly met hers. The sight of him earlier with the woman made her furious.
"Good morning Mrs. Lacoste." He greeted but she rolled her eyes. Pandora feigned a smile and walked towards Jose. She knew in order to steal the drive, she needed to be close to him. But the thought of his smelling breath and constantly caressing her in public almost discouraged her, but she had to, she knew she needed to.
She kissed him on his lips and took a sit beside him. Max sat opposite her. Her heart was pounding as her gaze were fixed on Jose's hands.
"The reason we invited you here is because you are a witness." The chief said to her.
