It's been a normal day. The difference was the dull wheather. It was 5:15 in the evening. The sun was yet to set. I sat on my bed looking for something fun to do. My phone laid beside me and it suddenly rang. I wasn't expecting any message and I even turned off the internet. I wore a confused face as I turned to check what the notification was. It was a message from Jay. I had no clue what it was until I opened it and it read "Be ready in 45 minutes". I froze, remembering I agreed to an outing. "Oh no what the hell made me forget?" I said, pulling myself down to the end of the bed. I was so confused and didn't even know what to wear. I brushed through my wardrobe and everything piled up. I kept looking and realized there was a dress I had never wore. I brought it out of the wadrobe to take a good look and my jaw literally dropped. It was so beautiful! Probably the most beautiful dress I've ever owned. It was Black, fitting, knee length and was decorated with shiny pearls. I wore it and looked into the mirror. ' I'll be so beautiful when I get older' I thought to myself. My hair was tied up in a bun and it was looking so messy. I grabbed a ribbon, loosened my hair down, brushed it and tied a ponytail. It was okay for me since I was just going to have fun. I turned to check the time on my phone and to my surprise, it was already six minutes to 6pm. 'Time has gone really fast' I thought. Before I could even look at the mirror once more, Jay was already downstairs. I heard voices coming closer. He was conversing with Mercy, my maidservant. There was a knock on the door, patiently waiting for me to respond. "Comi-n-gg" I responded a bit shaky. I turned off the lights and took along a hoodie since I guessed it was chilling. Thinking it was Jay, I wore a straight face and opened the door slowly. "Mercy?" I said with squinted eyes
"Madam... Ruby, Sir Jake is waiting downstairs"
Mercy didn't seem to be used to the name "Ruby". I pardoned her and nodded. I walked down the stairs with my tiny legs as Dad always called it. Jay was sitting at his usual side in the living room, his back facing me. "Jake!" I said as I got to the end of the stairs. He got up and walked towards me to offer a hug "You look beautiful Ruby" he complimented with gleaming eyes. "Let's get going then" he suggested. I walked beside him with a wide grin on my face. Jay's chauffeur was a middle-aged man with almond eyes and faded brown hair. I sat in the back seat with Jay and the chauffeur drove us off. We got to the place and the entrance alone seemed satisfactive. I was thinking Jay was taking me to a club or night party but No! It was just a cinema. I loved movies so much that I could watch them the whole day. My heart sank when I realized we were going to watch a romance movie. I felt so happy but I didn't show it. Jake had a confused look but I refused to ask him what the matter was. He led me in walked behind.
...
It was 8:16 pm when the movie ended. Jake seemed satisfied. Although I wished we could watch it again, I stayed cool and compromised with his expressions. We drove back home in the snowy dark.
