Servants With a Modern Weapon

Wilson is a servant for the duke's daughter. Little to none known about him. Although something is puzzling about him, perhaps it's his reputation, or maybe it's merely his decency. However, nonetheless, people tend to pretend to be his best friend while wanting to know his secret. Sorry for my bad English since I'm not a native speaker. [Hiatus For Now]

.... Full of Joy

Garth and I were picking up the dirty plates from the table. The students were finishing their dinner very fast, even some of them want another one. They came to our table and asked for another portion, and I simply refuse because the ingredients just simply had run out.

Cecile was washing the dishes while Maria was having a conversation with other students. Garth and I came back and forth from the dining room and the kitchen.

"How was it?" I asked while holding 10 plates on my hand.

"It was very delicious, The meat quality is just perfect," Garth said as he put the dirty plates on the sink where Cecile was washing the dishes.

"Could you boys stop talking and help me with the dishes?" Cecile asked as she sunk her hands on the bubble in the sink.

"Sure thing," I said as I went to her.

I washed the plate and let the water ran. Garth still cleaning the table and fold his apron. Cecile started to quip because the number of dishes she had to wash was plenty.

"Hey, to kill some times, do you want to hear my pick-up-lines?" I asked her.

"Sure, why not?" she said as she continued to wash the dishes.

"Here's one, Seeing you makes me diabetic because you're as sweet as sugar," I said to him.

Garth suddenly barged in into the door, he said, "I don't know what kind of shit both of you are talking about, but Wilson as sure as hell got a good pick-up line."

With a doubted face and a soapy hand, Cecile responded, "Really? What is the point of that if the interlocutors don't know the meaning."

"So, it's bad enough?" I asked her.

"It's bad enough," She said as she put the already cleaned plate in the drying rack.

"My turn, Are you a cat because I'm feeling a connection between us," Garth said confidently from behind us.

With a contorted face, I looked at him and said, "Say what??"

"No, I'm a wolf," Cecile said as she pointed one of her ears.

"It's worse than Wilson's?" Garth asked her.

"Yes, it is definitely worse than Wilson's," She said coldly.

"Damn," Garth said as I notice a figure that I recognized from the kitchen's window.

Ok, so there was four-figure standing on the front of the door. Mr. Icebane, the swordsman that was really hard to impress. Mr.Coldman, the famous archmage for its god-level thunder spell during the wartime. Mrs.Barker, The mage that invented the first magical device. Mrs.Husain, the one who killed a dragon with the hero on the battle.

I approached the door then I greeted them, "Good evening, How may I help sirs and ma'ams?"

Mr.Coldman asked me with his authoritative finger, "Is this the place that served the dinner that the students said was the best food they've ever taste," he said.

"They could be right or wrong, sir, but what does sir really want?" I asked him.

"Well, I'm just hungry, and I also wanted to check the truth," he said coldly.

"Ok, I will guide sirs and ma'ams to the seats, follow me please," I said politely.

They followed me to the table that was already cleaned by Garth. I let the teachers sat on the chair and lit up a candle in the middle. I told them politely to wait for the meal then I left for the kitchen.

"Guys, we got a code red," I said to my fireteam.

"What do you mean?" Garth asked with a confused face.

"Yeah, Wilson, what do you mean?" Cecile said as she continued to wash the dishes.

"Well, we got our teacher showing up, and they asked for the same meal as the students," I said to her.

Garth opened the fridge and found exactly 4 pieces of A5 wagyu from the leftover. He handled me the meat, and he started to peel the potato again and to put it in the pot.

"Well, what are you waiting for? Let's cook for them," Garth said as he peeled the potato.

"You're right," I said as I prepared a pan and heated it while putting butter on the container.

I added butter, rosemary, and garlic to skillet, tilt pan toward me so that butter pools on one side, and I used a large spoon to baste the steak with butter continually. I Continued to cook it until the butter was no longer bubbling, and it smelled nutty and was beginning to brown. I Transferred the meat to a cutting board and let it rest 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, Garth was making the milk and butter mixture with a saucepan while waiting for the potato to soften up. Cecile had done doing the dishes, and she is now sitting on the kitchen counter while seeing me cooking.

"What do you think of them?" I asked her while pointing my index finger to the teachers.

"I don't have any opinion about them except for Mr.Icebane," She said to me.

"Why?" I asked her.

"Because he is a jerk," he said.

"That's it?" I tried to reconfirm.

"Every time someone uses a different sword technique from him, he will punish us pretty bad. He is also the henchman of a known noble," She stated.

"Who?" I asked her.

"Count Antoine Dutertre," she said to me.

Well, that name ring a bell in my head, but I didn't know why.

"Well, Garth, have you finished cooking that mashed potato?" I asked him.

"Done," he said to me as he handed me one of the plates.

"Could you give me a wine glass?" I asked Cecile.

"Sure, Why not?" as she handed me a wine glass.

"Do the ordinary still keep a bottle of wine in the fridge?" I asked as I cleaned the glass with a clean cloth.

"Nah, it has run out," Garth said as he put his head into the fridge.

"Fine, here we go, [Ultimate Summon]," I said as I summoned a bottle of wine from my hand.

"What kind of wine is that?" Garth asked.

"It's a cabernet wine; Château Ducru Beaucaillou 2016 Saint-Julien to be exact," I said as I poured a bit to my glass. I sipped the wine very slowly.

Well, the French are never wrong with their wine. I'm not wrong from guessing my first ever wine back in my young days. This was the first wine I've ever tested again in my old world.

"How does it taste?" Garth asked me.

"It tasted exactly like wine," I said.

"Ok, should I serve it?" Cecile asked me.

"Sure," I said as I grabbed 3 more glasses.

Garth went out of the room while bringing 4 plates on his hand, and Cecile was sitting on the counter.

Garth put the plate on the table, and I followed with a bottle of wine and four glass in my hand.

I put the glasses on the table and started to pour the red liquid into the glass.

"Sir and ma'am, please enjoy," I said as I left the table.

The teachers ate their food very fast. They had a satisfied look on their faces.

Maria came to the kitchen to talk to us. She was wearing her nightshirt.

"Nice job, everyone, all of you make me proud," Maria said to me.

"Well, that dinner was amazing, to be honest," Garth said.

Suddenly, after the teachers finishing their dinner, they called us.

"How may I help you, sir?" Garth asked Mr.Icebane.

"Please sit, thank you for the meal," He said.

I pulled a chair from a nearby table and sat next to Mr.Coldman.

"Have you heard that someone from our school has disappeared?" He asked us.

"No, sir, why do you ask?" Maria asked him politely.

"Sshh, we supposed not to tell the students," Mrs.Barker said.

"It is not a problem since they give us this magnificent food," Mr.Icebane said.

"Mrs.Husain, could you please give them the info?" Mr.Coldman commanded her.

"Sure, here you go," Mrs.Husain said as she grabbed a piece of document from her coat.

"What is this?" I asked her as I picked the document from the table.

"A request for ransom," Mr.Icebane said.

I read the letter thoroughly and gave my opinion.

"25 platinum coin, isn't that too much even for Anton?" I asked Mrs.Barker.

"Well, we prioritize our student's safety after all," Mrs.Barker said.

"Well, I hope his family has the money," I said as I left the table.

"Yes, I hope so," Mr.Coldman said.

"See you, ma'am," I waved my hands to Mrs.Barker while brought the 4 dirty plates to the kitchen.

"See you on my subject Wilson," She said as she left the table with the others.

I washed the dishes and cleaned the kitchen afterward. I grabbed a sponge and started by scrubbing the sink until it went shining. Garth was mopping the floor in the dining hall, and Cecile was cleaning the dirty table. Maria suggested that we rendezvous at Anton's office and we agreed.

After cleaning the dining hall, I hung up the apron then closed the kitchen door. We left the kitchen and headed straight to Anton's office. The building light was already turned on. The lights brighten the darkness of the night. We walked on the block street between two large buildings; The dorm and the main building.

We arrived at the office and saw maria was sitting on Anton's desk. She stood up from the chair and welcomed us.

"What are you planning to do, Wilson? 25 platinum coins is a lot of money," She said suddenly.

"Hold your horses, Slow it down, I still don't get the point of rescuing him, besides his family is rich, right?" I said to maria as I took a sit on a nearby sofa.

Garth interrupted us, he said, "We don't even know where Anton is being kidnapped. Do you have any idea?"

"Why don't you try to ask Mayor General Meyer to search him?" Cecile gave her own opinion.

"Later, for now, let's focus on the match that we will have soon," I refused Cecile's idea.

"Do you have any particular plan, Wilson?" Cecile asked me.

"Honestly, I want to learn how to make a guided projectile from the student that using it on the match when we first enter this school. Do anyone know her name?" I said to her.

"His master is Charlotte Heumann, She is in the same class as me," Maria said.

"Nice, Could you introduce me to her?" I asked her for a favor.

"Sure," She said.

"Ok then, Fireteam, Dismissed," I said as I stood up from the sofa.

I turn the lamp off then locked Anton's office door. We returned to our dorm room.
