Chapter 287

Butler Sam hearing the anger in her voice was surprised, his madam was barely angry, she rarely gets angry. So this only meant she had something she had been thinking about deeply, he had lived with her for years and if anyone knew her apart from his master it was him. He knew her as much but it couldn't be compared to the way his master knew his madam after all she was his wife.

"It's quite pissing me off you know..who could've taken the car?Me? Of course…I drove right! Was it me? It has to be me Or could it be the old man who's on the field with his grandson?"She asked sounding paranoid. There was indeed something with her mood. This only happens when she feels threatened by something, she had to admit she was afraid of her loved ones getting hurt. And now she had to let it all out on innocent Sam. The car was nothing ordinary at all, she knew better than anyone that no stranger could access the car no matter how skilled he or she was in robbery.

"So sorry ma'am, it seems I called you at a bad time. I don't want to get on your nerves. I'm sure of what I'm saying, that's why I called back.The car isn't here but I would find it. "He replied

"You're not getting on my nerves Sam, I just feel too burden for now, I have a lot I am worrying about. Please don't mind this attitude of mine. This is weird, I guess it's better to get things done by oneself, I suddenly feel off about this whole thing. Trusting somethings to others isn't safe anymore.I'll be on my way right away.Wait for my arrival"she said, planning to fly off. 

"Ok ma'am" Butler Sam said he knew he couldn't convince her otherwise and from the way she spoke she needed some fresh air to calm her down.

(Hangs up)

Lily immediately left to meet him to see it for herself in satisfaction that he was saying the truth But Somehow…she was disturbed. She never made a mistake when it came to a certain location or could it be that she had aged overnight and she wasn't aware of this herself. Knowing the old man won't take it out without telling her It was something surprising that the car went missing and if Sammy had gone to get it right beforehand he would have told her all about it.

Now she was faced with a dilemma she was going to leave the house without the old man's consent and she couldn't go to his private space to notify him. He would not take her serious, she knew she would get the 'it's just a car, I could buy you a new one just forget it's and he wouldn't have her leave the house just because a car got missing. So after weighing all odds it was better she goes without out without telling him afterall it was just about two hours and a half to get to the same spot. And calculating this time, she was sure the old man would still be focused on practicing. 

Afterall a day over at the private was worth so many days here so they wouldn't notice a thing. The thought of flying over was neutralize immediately, just in case her husband gets to find out she would get in bigger trouble if he knows she used her energy on such a long distance (sigh) "It's better I go get a cab" Lily said and immediately disappeared, she conveyed herself out of the palace she avoided been seen by any of the guards. It was very difficult getting a cab around the palace; she could only get one in the outskirts of her husband's mansion.

Finally she got to the exact spot and it was all set. Stopping a cab wasn't anything difficult, before she became a queen and got married to the old man she was first a human being. Her teenage years and childhood days went smoothly, she would stop a cab every morning to school except on days she was so lucky to be dropped off at school by her Dad. Most of the times he does leave home very early to work and she was so unfortunate, her mother on the other hand was more like a full housewife who was best in motherhood and wifehood. Her mother was the best mother ever, she would always get up early to prepare breakfast for them and also package their lunch they barely eat at the cafeteria. No food was as tasty as her mother's.

"Ma'am are you alright? You look lost?" The driver said she had stopped his cab for about 5 minutes now and she wasn't getting in.

(Coming out of her thoughts) "I am good, just thinking about something" she said giving him an apologetic look

"Where are you going ma'am?"He asked

"I would send the address over to your car system now"

(After sending him the location she enters the cab)

"Ma'am you look beautiful" The driver suddenly commented. He had to confess she was indeed very beautiful and looked more like a woman in her 30's

"Thank you" Lily said with a smile, it was a compliment so she found nothing wrong with it. And she couldn't stop someone from being outspoken with his words.

"Are you married?'' he said looking through the rear view mirror.

"Yes I am"she replied

"Oh, your husband must be very happy, he's a very lucky man"

(Smiles) "He is" 

"How old is your marriage?" 

"I already have two grandsons" Lily replied, she would be scaring the man off if she said her marriage was more than a thousand years old.

"Wow, it seems you got married very early"

"I did" she replied with a helpless smile, she couldn't say more than this

"You should be in your 30's now so if you already have two grandsons then you must have gotten married at the age of 16. (Pauses for a minute) Butvif you did got married at the age of 16 your first child should be 14 years old so how come you have two grandsons?" The driver said, sounding more confused himself. He was talking to himself and giving answers to his own questions.

(Speechless) Why so much calculation? "I am in my Early 40's. My first child is 25, while the second is 20 years old and they are all married with kids" she replied with a smile

( Nodding)" Now it all makes sense, your husband must be very wealthy because you have very flawless skin and look young like those celebrities. You're a happy woman" he said with a smile. "Too bad you got married too early, 15 years old as a teenager is really an early stage" The driver said in his thoughts. Lily couldn't help but chuckle, who the hell said she got married so early? She was just being a nice person to avoid giving the young driver a heart attack. Who knows if she told him she got married at the age of 25 and her marriage was more than a thousand years old, he would step on the brakes abruptly leading to his untimely death. She was being so nice to him and he should be grateful.

The driver kept talking non stop that Lilly was so bored. She wondered how someone could talk so much, she was just a stranger and he was already talking about his family and their residence. "Don't you think some information is very vital and shouldn't be shared?"

(Laughs)" ma'am it's not as if I am talking about my family's treasure or some map that leads to endless wealth"

"Still at that you don't share personal details with a total stranger " she said sounding very serious

"I know, but you left me with no other option you know. You are so beautiful" he said with a smile

"Speechless " Lily had no strength to battle words with the young man. She was just trying to advise him but he rendered her speechless. This only means he could spill out all his secrets if he finds himself in the arms of a beautiful lady. Laying her head to the back seat, she closed her eyes to get a nap. They had just driven for just an hour and she was already feeling so frustrated, a good nap would shut her away from the world and from the cab man's nonsense.

(Few hours later the car came to a halt)

"Welcome ma'am, we are at the exact location you gave me"

"Hmm..thank you. I have come to witness things for myself."She said alighting from the car .

She looked all round but couldn't see the car.The car wasn't there.It became a shock, seeing this lily decided to call her grandson Sammy, instead of making a fuss about the whole issue it was better she years from him first.The young man's line was going through yet he didn't pick up despite countless dials. Sure enough he had immersed himself into the training, since he was very serious about the whole thing.``Could it be that he left his cell in the car and…"Lily thought again, this was because ever since her and her grandson came back from the journey she hadn't seen him with his phone but thinking about it again she remembered he had received a positive call concerning his woman to be.

"Madam, calm down, do you think the young Master forgot his cell phone in the car?" Butler Sam asked

"No….that's the last thing he'll do.he will definitely do either of which I stated to you earlier.Common.."She replied

"Madam…it might be some sort of robbers or thieves.They might have taken it. Maybe these ones are so skilled that the high technology couldn't work on them, " he said looking around. This was the only suggestion he could bring out, if they went by his own explanation it would save them a lot of stress.

"Let it be. Let's go back to the mansion.The old man will sort it out himself, I practically left the house without telling him (sigh) I don't want him to find out that I am gone. The outcome wouldn't be nice if he starts looking all over for me.But surprisingly…this whole issue has made me restless. For years…this has never happened, no matter where we leave our cars.Could it be that the old man suddenly change it's location?"She asked again

"I can't tell, we would be no better if we get to ask him about it."He replied with his elbow bent and palms up. It could be that the old man had come here by himself and he forgot to tell his wife about it.

"(Sigh)Get us a cab, Sam. I am so tired but now I feel less pressured"She ordered

"Sure"

(Stops a cab)

(Enters)

(Driving)

"He'll have lots of explaining to do,"Lily said with a frown. If her husband was involved in all this then he had gotten himself in a very big amount of trouble. 

The missing car has indeed given her a cause to worry.She is trying her best to avoid doubt.She have known the old man for decades.Its impossible for him to change now

"Stop the car.There"Granny said while she pointed to the distance 

"What's there ma'am?"The driver asked

"Look..that's the car we are looking for"Granny replied looking and Sam

"Oh…true"

"Will this now be your destination?"The driver asked

"Yes"They both replied and got out of the car immediately.

Lily got down the car in a haste to trace who drove the car down the street away from the actual location, she and Sammy had parked it. That person must have a lot of guts. But surprisingly the spot at which it was parked gave her a cause to worry.

"Ma'am..the car is parked in front of a hospital which means the person who took it brought it here. So the person is…"

"Yeah…which means…the one who took the car is in this very hospital."

"You got it ma'am"

"So what do we do?"Granny asked, she was already very curious to know who the thief was.

"There are two ways to go about it."

"Ok…but I'll prefer just one.Your suggestion won't count.The best thing to do right now…is to wait for the person to come out of the hospital (smiles) That's the most logical explanation." Sam seeing her smile knew she was back to being his old and cheerful mistress who was always away from worries and problems.

"Yeah…that's true" he nods in approval 

They both agreed and sat on some bricks laid beside the car view it was a far distance ahead but well hidden, the scene made them look like mere human beings. Butler Sam couldn't help but chuckle while Lily gave him a glare for such a thought.

(Some minutes later)

"I'll have the mechanic check the car,"Kent said on a phone call while coming out of the hospital.

"Bro, you can't just make your decision at the last minute and expect that we stand by you in this. You're currently violating our privacy"

(Smirks) "What was I expecting from a lawyer's mouth, I never dragged you guys here. You willingly tagged along"

"And the first thing you did immediately when we got here was to Steal a car. The almighty Lark Kent who deals with billions everyday stole someone's car"Strings said looking displeased. He wasn't in full support of their coming here. They had to travel for some hours before they arrived in the country, they had no choice when they got back home last night they could sleep the tiredness off waking up this morning Kent was all set to travel back home. Bring all the lambs to the lion's den. Anyway they had no choice than to agree to it after all they were coming to Sammy's rescue but they had never expected that the first thing they would do was steal.

"I didn't steal the car, the car looks exactly like mine and you can see how well it responded to me. This must belong to my grandmother and if it isn't the owner should be happy I borrowed it"

"Borrowed it your ass, how will you return the car then?"Adams asked looking at him strangely, he never knew Kent was a thief.

"Seems you don't know this.This car belongs to an old man, all his cars have a very high technology that only his bloodlines or those related to him could access it. He barely travels by car but we all do so he ensures to keep everyone safe, especially his wife .I got it just at the right time when I needed it. You all should be grateful " Kent replied, '' They were just at the biggest hospital in town, this was one of the hospitals he frequented when he was a child. But all this was more like a cover up. This wasn't his actual reason for coming, he had only two things in mind, he wanted to pay the old man a surprise visit and he came for his younger brother Sammy. If the old man was involved in all this he would know just at a glance.
