Daddy's girl

I woke up happy, yesterday was my dad's birthday and there was lots of fun, I decided to make a little celebration, it was so unique. He was so happy, well natural when everyone was around I just call him my big brother because he is 24 years old, but he has been 24 for 376 years now, that makes him 400 years old. yes my dad is 400 years old and no he is not a vampire or a were Wolf. we are witches, no to put it exact we are magician and we live in the modern world, and for some stupid reasons am not allowed to use my magic, because some people want me dead.

well, am only 16 years old, yes I am truly 16 don't ask me why, I was born 15years and some months ago so technical I am 16 period. I have never met my mother non heard anything about her, weird right, what else can we be if not weird.

I walk down the stairs to the kitchen to fix the birthday boy some breakfast in bed, but am very lazy with my hand, why I do I need to use my hands when I have magic. ulala I strolled to the kitchen and the gas cooker light up, the broom starts sweeping, the pot place it self on the cooker and various ingredients were doing their thing, then all of a sudden my dad runs down stairs.

"Seli what do you think you are doing" he shouted. well then we start the usual fight.

"well I am cooking and cleaning " I stop using magic and everything just stop.

"I have told you that we can't use magic" he said

"if people are around yes, but when they are not, why do I still have to slave myself"I said that's typical of our fight all the time and it's always end with him telling me to be more mature and we have moved continually because of me

we have moved 5 times since my magic came up at 15 or like they put it since I was awaken.

"am sorry dad"

"it's ok, you mean the world to me" he said. that kind of put me in a good mood.

we make the dish together and clean the house, I was going to be late for school. so I ran up stairs. my dad went to his room to get ready for work.

As I entered my school building I met Sarah, she is my best friend since I move here and she has a thing for my dad. " I seli" she said "I Sarah" I replied "how is your brother Adam" she asked

I just roll my eyes, after her first sentence every day the next was asking after my dad. "get a life he is 400years old" I thought. "my brother is fine, so do I get a how are you besti"

"jealous much "you actually do look great" she said. then the conversation turns into how she was planning to get my brother this week, it's always how she starts her week but she never gets what she wants, yet she never gives up.

the bell rings for First period and am over joy, who wants to listen on how a 16 year old girl want to win a 400 year old man, I believe he gotten all that, plus he is a mechanic who does his job excellently. so there is no shortage of girls, he get girls in for a one night stand but am not about to tell my best friend.

I rush to my locker to get all I want then rush to my class for first period.

eight period was English and was bouring as ever, the principal - Mr. Tan came to call me, Selina Austin please can I see you in my office, two policemen where in his office, "miss Selina we will like you to follow us to identify the corpse of your brother... " I didn't really hear all that they said but I could hear car, crash, accident, and allot of rubbish I just can understand now.

all of a sudden everyone froze except me, I knew it was magic, and I knew I was alone, I remember alk Adam use to teach me, u stand up quickly and I was ready to strike and dam the circumstances.

Sarah walks in "we have less than 5 minutes"

"what! you can use Magic" I said

"yes and there is no time for small talk, you have two choices, one you run away and trust no one or you, face the future that you were born to live" she said

"what do you mean" I questioned

"Selina what ever you choose will change your life forever and there is no going back, no of us can do the things that he did for you, if you go to him, you will become princess but if you don't you will become a fugitive, but I must tell you, no one is without it's troubles, you were already mark from death before you were born" she said

alot of things are going on in my head and I know we wont have much time, so I ask the one question I know was important,

"what will happen, if I run away?"

she looks at me, I saw she was contemplating what to answer, "he will be no more"

you see our biggest fear is not death but if we cannot reincarnate after death, because when we reincarnate it's like we continue living but when we don't we are lost for ever.

what will happen if I decide to become a Princess?" I asked

she rolled her eyes and shake her head like she was telling me it's not an option, the she said " you will be a sheep going to the slaughter, so what do you want?"

I took a breath and was silent for a long time which was actually less than 10 seconds, this is a big decision, "I have always love a crown" I said. "Don't throw away your life Selina, think of Adams and all the things we gave up for you." she said
