"I've already told you clearly that I admire you very much," Hendry telling the truth.
"I appreciate that," Ginny finally said in a slightly gentle tone. "But, well, as you know, my company almost went bankrupt. I need to take care of a lot of things," Ginny said again.
"I can help you sort things out if you'll cooperate with me," Hendry responded.
"Didn't you pay attention to my mouth when I spoke just now?"
"I know, but it's not about giving your company to me. I will never take over your company," said Hendry.
Ginny was at a loss for words to reply what Hendry had just said to her when her cell phone rang. Ginny raised her hand to interrupt Hendry, with a nod from Hendry, Ginny answered the call.
"Yes," Ginny replied. Then after that Hendry could see that Ginny was frowning and the expression on her face seemed to be protesting everything the person on the other of the line said.
Five minutes passed until Ginny finally let out a rough breath while holding the front of her head which suddenly became more and more painful. A second later she glanced at Hendry.
"Sorry, where were we?"
"Ah, about that, I'm asking you out and I'm pretty sure you'll agree to that." Hendry answered very confidently.
Ginny looked at Hendry for a moment then he spoke again. "I don't think so on that part,"
"I'm pretty sure that part," Hendry replied with a grin.
"I thought it was about a deal. The meeting you planned had something to do with the deal, right?"
"If you think so how do I explain it?" Henry raised his eyebrows.
"I've told you, time and time again, that I have absolutely no interest in giving it to you."
"Ginny, ah sorry, I mean, Ms. Albright." Hendry cleared his throat before he continued his sentence again. "I really don't want to take over your company," Hendry tried to reassure Ginny.
Once again Ginny pointed to her desk which almost looked like a broken ship. It's full of all sorts of bright red folders and scattered files, coming out of the brown folders, which seem to be more important than the other folders.
"You saw that, didn't you? I couldn't leave him at all." said Ginny.
Hendry's face showed an expression of disappointment. He didn't even think that a Ginny Albright could be this stubborn.
"Okay, maybe next time I can take you out to just drink coffee together," said Hendry.
"Yes, of course." Ginny nodded.
"But if you change your mind I'll be waiting for you at Brent and Jim's tonight at seven o'clock." Then Hendry got up from his seat and left Ginny's room.
Ginny just stared at Hendry's back which slowly disappeared from her sight and then sat back down behind her desk. Looking at the files that require her to work immediately instead of thinking about her feelings and also her chaotic mind.
Thoughts about the man who had just contacted her just now made Ginny lose her full concentration, how could the bank contact her again for an outstanding debt, when she had paid everything in full when she sold her private house the other day.
Ginny opened her e-mail, checking every e-mail that came in carefully. She firmly believed that she only owed two banks and had already settled it.
"Good grief!" Ginny covered her mouth when she found an e-mail that had just arrived at her e-mail address. Ginny read it very seriously. Her face turned deathly pale as she realized that it was Dave who pawned her company papers and borrowed a fantastic loan. Unfortunately, Ginny hasn't had time to check her safe since she decided to part with Dave.
To her checking things like that was no more important than the survival of Fiona who was now on the verge of deprivation. With a feeling of deep confusion, Ginny pressed the speed dial which she still hadn't deleted from her cell phone.
"Where are you?" Ginny growled as Dave answered her phone call.
"Wow, interesting," said a voice from the other end of the line.
"Are you crazy?" Ginny, who had run out of patience, jerked Dave roughly.
No more the gentle Ginny with a simple and sweet smile. Ginny with polite speech that sounded very comfortable. All the things that Dave had often heard from Ginny now, he could no longer hear.
"You see, Dave. I don't care if you're bothering me. But you've messed with my company! My company is where I make a living to support Fiona." Ginny took a deep breath before she continued on to the next sentence she was about to say. "Of course, for now, it's only Fiona, but you used to enjoy all the fruits of my labors too!"
"It's all your fault, Ginny." Dave replied casually. "I've never forced you to work too hard to support us. I've never asked you to buy us fancy things either," Dave said again, shamelessly.
Ginny was sick of the bullshit Dave was saying. Because in fact Dave really enjoyed it all.
"Nonsense, Dave! You're even enjoying it!" Ginny snapped in annoyance.
"So what exactly are you going to tell me? Is this about child custody? Have you decided to hand Fiona over to me?"
Ginny snorted loudly. "Are you kidding me about what you just said? Are you still trying to play with me?"
"I know you can't afford to pay for Fiona with your current limitations. Your company is bankrupt anyway, Ginny." Dave answered.
"Watch your mouth, Dave!"
"I'm speaking the truth," Dave replied again.
"Do you really not know what shamelessness means?" Ginny asked.
"Speak quickly and don't beat around the bush."
"You pawned my company Dave!! Are you still going to play dumb? I'm really going to sue you!"
Dave chuckled, and the sound irritated Ginny even more. "Did you forget that I own a 10 percent stake there?"
"Still you can't just pawn it! You're already enjoying more than that, if I want to pay for it!" Ginny was getting angry.
"Sweetheart..."
Ginny faintly heard a woman's voice calling Dave very affectionately.
"You're interrupting my honeymoon, Ginny," Dave hissed.
"Fuck it! I'm going to sue you for real, Dave!" Then Ginny hung up rudely.
