AREN'T WE PRAYER WARRIORS?

"He has a girlfriend for fuck sake, I don't even care, I am just focusing on my job," he shouted making Dee fringe.

The way Dave said the last part made Dee wonder why he was saying it out of frustration and anger.

Maybe she was just assuming things and Dave just want to be the good secretary he is. She thought about asking his boss, Jake, if he knows what's happening between them but instead, she let it go. This was not Jake's issue. He has issues that he needs to focus on to have him poking his nose on other people's problems.

He will even condemn her for being such gossip and that's what she didn't want to happen.

"Sorry Dave, I didn't mean to say anything or assume anything. I was just concerned that's all,"

Dave was relaxed after her words. The deep lines that were forming in his forehead suddenly softened up as he looked at Dee. He didn't know what overcame him, suddenly he just lashed out at her for nothing.

To some extent, he felt Dee was saying the truth or it's was just work frustration that he had to do every day and doesn't have some time off for himself.

"I am the one who should be sorry Dee, I didn't mean to lash out at you," he said softly and they went ahead to hug each other gently.

He felt some calmness in his old friend and this is how it used to be in high school.

Dee had missed this. The way they used to hug in high school until people thought that they were dating. They used to be each other's keepers.

If someone got bullied by the pupils they would help themselves and run away from the situation. Help each other solve their homework though Dee's parents never approved of him to be Dee's friend.

After their little hug, They separated and locked eyes again, "you are my bestie and I don't want to lose you again, I want to know how you are doing even when you will be going to the rice college. Nowadays I live far, we came here with a chopper but you can always visit, okay?" Asked Dave as he lazily caressed her arms.

Dee let out a chuckle and looked at him, "Hey, you are like my big brother and I am your small sister, I couldn't ask for more. Even though you are far away, I will be happy that my lost friend is back." They laughed and Dee continues, " I will try and visit you one of the weekends when I am free or I will ask my boss to bring me to one of his business trips," she said and hugged Dave once more.

Dee knew they didn't get enough time to do their little chit chat and catch up. He left her with his phone number and Dee promised to call him as soon as she gets a phone or they can use the landline to call.

They moved out of the room and joined their bosses inside Jake's office.

Nathan was busy on his phone, tapping at the screen furiously while Jake was going through a document on his computer.

"Sir, we are done," said Dee in a respectful manner earning a scornful look from Nathan.

Jake went on with his work as if he hasn't heard her but Nathan was now fully looking at them. Dave was holding the office papers quietly looking down. His glasses were in his hands.

Ethan wondered why does he always have to wear his glasses that were too big for his eyes when he is working. It's not like he has any eyes problem that requires him to use the glasses.

Jake who was pretending to be busy looking at the computer, secretly threw a glance at Nathan. He just chuckled inwardly at how he was looking at his Secretary while swallowing hard.

He had no problems with whoever his friend liked, whatever kept him happy was okay with him. 'Why wouldn't he just give him a fuck?' He thought while returning his gaze into the documents.

"How did you two meet again young girl?" Asked Nathan in a mocking tone.

He wanted to intrigue Dee but She was determined to act as professional as possible.

"We were classmates since junior secondary sir," said Dee and went ahead to bow her head after the reply.

"Dave, I didn't see her name in the list of friends you have?"

"Seriously dude, are you going to dictate whoever your secretary is associating himself with, just quit it will you? He has a private life!" Shouted Jake as he placed the papers he wall holding down and closed his laptop.

"Diana, why don't we bring some takeaway that I had ordered Dominic to buy and have some good lunch with our guest," said Jake and Dee calmly went out to get the food.

Jake didn't want to show any connection between him and Dee. He had fought the urge to call him Dee but he was forced to say Diana to look more professional unlike his friend here who is busy fucking his secretary with his eyes wide open in front of everyone.

Jake asked them to accompany him back into the room, he prepared the wine while waiting for Dee to bring in the food.

"Some juice will be okay," said Dave as he took the farthest seat from his boss.

"Why? Doesn't he allow you to drink?" Asked Jake as he eyed Nathan.

"He is at work, not a club or something, do you want him to slur in my job?' Questioned Nathan picking a glass of wine from Jake's hand.

Jake looked at him then threw a glance at Dave who was holding his head down and shook his head in dismay.

Dee walked in with bags of food. The Chinese nodules, rice and sushi. She placed them in the microwave to warm up.

She noticed the awkward situation that was dominating the room.

She noticed Dave's head held down as he held a glass of juice in his hands. Dave had glued his eyes on him like a hawk on a hen waiting to attack it.

Jake saw her approach and left the table maybe they will have a conversation while he is at his secretary's place helping. Dee was on the shelves raised her toes some that she can get the plates. Her heels were not doing a good job of lifting her.

Jake moved up to her and stood behind her. His groin was directly below Dee's ass. Sue noticed Jake's presence behind her but went on pretending to get the plates.

Jake was breathing down her neck and she was going to lose it anytime before she fell. Jake avoided her hands and picked the plates from the shelves handing them to her.

"Thank you," she said while focusing her eyes on the plates.

Jake moved to her side as she was picking the plates from the shelves.

"what do you think of those two, aren't they perfect?" Asked Jake in a slurred voice.

Dee looked at him and just chuckled looking on the ground. She didn't want to say anything that was going to make Jake think otherwise of her.

"Dave is a hardworking boy, I know him but for your friend Nathan I know nothing of him," said Diana as she picked the plates and left Jake standing at the counter.

She didn't imagine Jake would be interested in their work and deletion but turned out he had noticed them too but he had no problem with it. She thought of how she will begin that conversation about them after they left but she couldn't come up with an idea.

She felt Jake's eyes behind her and she turned crimson red. "Enjoying what you see mister?" She thought in her mind as she placed the plates on the tables.

Jake stood there and admired how she was swaying her hips, he knows that she was just walking but the way she was walking was so seductively.

The way her ass was swinging from left to right swiftly and she placed each plate carefully on the table, he swallowed hard and felt his bulge forcing itself out calling for her.

"Not now," he whispered to it before walking over the table with the food that was already warm placing it on the table.

The table was small but perfectly fit for the four people inside.  Jake sat next to Nathan while Diana and Dave sat next to each other facing their bosses.

"Aren't we prayer warriors now?" Asked Jake startling Dee from the juice that she had already placed in her mouth.

She just gave him a stare and placed the glass on the table as they joined their hands to pray.

"Jesus, when did you become a Christian, I thought you were an atheist!" Jeered Nathan as he picked the chopsticks.
