PROLOGUE: Breakthrough

*CRACK!* *PANG!*

Streaks of rosy purple lightning illuminate the midnight sky and strike down on the handsome youth sitting in a lotus position, brutally smiting him and lighting up the surrounding trees. White hot flames spread instantaneously through the rest of the forest, filling the nearby air with the acrid smell of charred wood.

*Haah*

The youth exhales a breath of foul air and expels the overflowing amount of Qi gathered in his three dantian and circulating his twelve principal meridians outwards.

*Woosh* *BOOM!*

A wave of overwhelming Qi rushes out from the youth, extinguishes the fierce white flames, and flattens the surrounding dense forest that stretches for approximately 8km squared.

The youth shot up excitedly; he had broken through to mid-stage Nascent Soul at the young age of 25, a feat the myriad of cultivators residing in the Great North could only dream of, and that's considering their average lifespan of hundreds of years old!

With a pivot of his right heel, he barreled towards the east, leaving not even an indication of a shadow behind and traveling thousands of km away from the carnage he had caused to the surrounding terrain.
