Jane sniffled and longed to hug her daughter tightly, but they wouldn't let her. "Let's wait until jill gets better."
jill nodded obediently and earnestly reminded her, "Mommy also needs to cooperate with the doctor's treatment and get better quickly."
Jane nodded bitterly, "Mommy will." She was poisoned, how could she recover so quickly?
After staying for a while, jill was coaxed out of the ward by John, with Brian following behind and looking meaningfully at Jane on the hospital bed.
Last night, he didn't receive a call from Vivian West, and he thought he would be scolded by John, but John didn't even mention it. Instead, he called and asked him to buy a recliner and deliver it to the hospital. After the recliner arrived, John personally instructed him to find a toxicology expert in the medical field.
He worked all night and finally found several industry authorities. At dawn, he was busy transferring Jane and jill to another hospital. As John's poor assistant, he hadn't slept all night.
But he finally understood why John suddenly wanted to find a toxicology expert, it was for his ex-wife!
"Take good care of yourself, Miss Jane." He figured it out. Even though they were divorced, John still cared about his ex-wife, maybe because of jill's face, after all, she was the birth mother.
Jane lay down peacefully, closed her tired eyes. Perhaps it was the surroundings that triggered her emotions, she couldn't help but wonder if she and John would have lived happily together if their biological son hadn't been stolen. Would he have treated their son the way he treated jill?
Since he was convinced that she was cheating on him, she had lost all her faith in this YBγβ man. She couldn't imagine if he at least loved his children.
Lost in her thoughts, she gradually fell asleep. Her body was too tired, and she slept deeply.
When she woke up, she was stunned. The walls around her were white, even the sheets emitted a light fragrance. Her body was comfortably lying flat, but jill was not around. When she got up, she found herself on an IV drip.
At this moment, John walked in with two doctors. The doctors asked her about her condition, and after she answered truthfully, they reminded her to rest well and left. After they left, Jane had a chance to ask John, "Where is jill?"
John looked at her and said, "The doctor said that chickenpox could also be transmitted to adults, and given your current physical condition, it is not suitable for you and jill to stay in the same ward."
Jane frowned. She wanted to see jill immediately but was stopped by John. "I'll bring her to see you soon."
"Has her fever gone down?" Jane asked.
John nodded.
"Have the chickenpox on her face disappeared?"
John shook his head. "The doctor said it wouldn't happen so quickly. It will take at least a week."
As he spoke, he sent a message out. After a while, Brian came in with jill. The little girl wore a mask, her eyes bright and clear. The haze and vulnerability from the night before had disappeared from her eyes.
She bounced to the bedside and was about to reach out to hug Jane, but she remembered something and stopped in time. "Mom, dad said you are sick and need rest. jill cannot infect you with the disease."
Jane politely nodded, feeling that her body had improved a lot. She turned her head curiously to look at the IV drip above her head, which had some unfamiliar words on it, possibly in German. Was she receiving imported medication?
"Wait, Brian," she said.
Brian stopped, and Jane asked immediately, "Two old doctors came just now. Are they from St. Mary's Hospital?"
Brian shook his head. "No, they're detoxification experts from the capital. John specifically asked me to find them."
Jane was surprised, with indescribable feelings in her heart. So John was helping her detox?
"What kind of medicine is this?" She was purely curious.
Brian shook his head. "I don't know. All I know is that it's imported from China, and there are probably less than ten bottles in USA. Each bottle costs over a million."
Jane was shocked by the sky-high price. "This is a miracle drug."
Brian laughed, "I heard it is specifically used to detoxify nerve toxins, and it is relatively rare."
Jane fell silent. She never expected that John would do so much while she slept!
"I believe that with the treatment of experts and efficient drugs, Miss Jane will recover soon. Good luck." Brian said and quickly left, exhausted. He had to hurry home to catch up on sleep, otherwise, he might die suddenly.
jill was sent back to the ward by John, reluctantly. She repeatedly asked when her mom would recover, and John repeatedly assured her that her mother would be fine.
jill lay back on the bed, and tears suddenly flowed out of her eyes. John was puzzled. He
