SCP: The Unforseen Variable (Old)

Murrey, finds himself in a new world made of laws he dosen’t understand. Find as he grows his organization creates a religion and tries to prepare for the end of everything. This book is being rebooted because I screwed up some plot points that I can’t fix aside from rewriting it all. So I’m doing a reboot. If you wanna get a sneak peek into what the reboots plot is gonna be later down the line I guess you can read this. I wouldn’t because it would make the pay offs less impactful, but you do you. Permission was given to me by Duy Giang to use his art for the cover go check him out. They’ve made some of the coolest and quality art related to SCP on a visual level and is one of the reasons I wanted to make this book

The Fortress

As I came back I was surprised as in my mad dash to get too Jody I hadn't taken the time to go around and see the state of the site. And boy was it a sight. There were two 30 meter high towers connected to the rockface on the inside of the cavern overlooking the main, and only, entrance inside. Upon closer inspection I realised just how trapped to high hell this thing was. It had explosives strapped on every stairwell, and was practically built to blow up.

This of course worked perfectly with our main defence strategy of tacticaly whidrawing while inflicting as many casualties as possible. Speaking of which as I inspected the outside more I spotted the walkway at Gate A was now reinforced and audjusted to allow the defender to crouch down and mount their weapon in the divots in the barrier.

The walkway up to Gate A was tight and was a perfect chokehold to delay the enemys advances. On thing I had ordered was for the nuke room to be removed and instead placed into a side room in my planned office in Light Containment. This of course allowed for less natural cover for any would be attackers. The weird red dot hallway that for some reason existed was also filled in as it allowed for our defenders on the walkway to be flanked. Although it was filled in it was only plastered over and reinforced on the side of the stairwell to allow for some defenders to have some cover when protecting the flank, or spring an ambush.

On the other half of surface zone reinforced barriers were added to the walkway to the elevator. A checkpoint was added, and the walkway expanded to allow for more personnel to retreat or have reinforcements come in. The elevators were also expanded to allow for more supplies to be brought into the facility along with needing a keycard scan to enter. Speeking of keycard scans we modified all of them to our own cards to prevent the Foundation from just walking in.

Upon going down the elevator you would be met with a killbox with soldiers stationed in a 2 layered defense structure. It was built from wall to wall to make a quarter circle the middle of which faced the elevator. The structure was made with reinforced steel on the outside and reinforced grates for extra grip flooring. It was made to allow for the mounting of weapons as the walls were built high enough for the soldiers elbows to be visible. We didn't have to worry about height as all my summoned soldiers are the same height.

The inside of the 2 layer bunker was tight and full of choke points to allow so a retreat would be able to hold any attackers back while doing so. The spaces between the defenders had walls curve in to make sure that if an attacker breached the structure they wouldn't be able to be able to eliminate the defenders within so easily. The only weakpoint was the gate to the side which if breached would allow attackers to go past the defenders, but they would lose so many people attempting to do so. This is also dampaned by more defenders being stationed within the hallway to the gate as well to cover retreats, or shoot stragglers. I also made sure that every Gate defender had two people with grenade launchers to shoot into the elevators.

The layout for this was also put on the elevator exite to Gate B. Entrance Zone was a buffer zone with snipers stationed at every hallway and enough poisonous gas to flood the facility two times over. It was mainly to pick off enemys before they would get ambushed at the Heavy Containment checkpoint. In Heavy Containment was where the huge garrison was planned to be. And also where the Serpents Hand members would go hunting as the limited visibility grayscale envirement was perfect for their fighting style. If they got through everything is when protocol Scorched Earth would be activated and when all of our hostile, but still containable, dangerous SCPs would be released. And if that failed I would personally activate the nuke while trying to get everyone and every important thing out. I also put the controls for that in a hidden room attached to my office so an infiltrator couldn't just subvert it all.

The garrison was a multiple hallway spanning checkpoint in all directions. The outskirts of which were mainly watchmen with the further you going in the more defendable and concentrated everyone was. I also made sure to put in an order to make the bullet converters and incorporate them into the elites, defenders and MTF weapons. I then imediately canceled that order as I had a convenient Factory summon with all personnel that I definitely didn't forget about.

After going down the entrance zone elevators you found yourself at a heavily although not as heavily guarded checkpoint that was not as guarded as the entrance zone checkpoint. This was the main area for all non life threatening activitys as it was the biggest and Heavy Containment could always be expanded. Entrance Zone however would be the hub for guard recreation, I don't know if they need it but it dosen't hurt, as well as the place where any standby MTF units would be if not needed anywhere else.

After going over all the equitment and personnel it came as no surprise that we didn't have enough people for this.

(Gained: 1,000 Guards)

(Lost: 2,500 Points)

Balance 7,500 Points

I had long sat on these system points besides I couldn't let the people who worship me to have a stronger military. Upon spawning the Guards all saluted me. I probably should've summoned them outside because I'm pretty sure they went 10 hallways down. After they spawned I decided not to yell over a non-accessible intercom and instead sent a message to their minds. They would all be cycling between MTF Epsillon-11, Miss J (SCP-5094) and the 100 Elite Strike Force Guards. It would take a while for them to get to the original guards' level, but it's not like I have SCPs to research.

After offloading all that to my (Administrator)s I went over all my summonable stuff that I hadn't used yet.

-1 (Factory, Personnel but not materials included)

-1 (Storefront)

First things first I randomly slapped the military installation in the Wanderers Library. What I then felt through my connection was the Library take that installation erase it. Then it copied it infinitely through itself at every square inch. I could now feel myself able to make it come backninto existence, but only at one place one at a time.

(Note: I making a new book its about Rimworld. NO this does not mean I'm leaving this one behind, or changing its upload schedule. Its purely a way to just refresh my mind and give me a break writing this one. It won't have a fixed upload schedule and will just be updated when I want to.)
