Chapter 30 Breaking In
Fear consumed every inch of my body. I could feel saliva thickening in my throat and beads of sweat dripping from my forehead. I never wanted him to get a chance near me because I was afraid, he would make me his own forever.
His wolf had certainly grown restless, and he was yearning for my wolf. No one would accept the rejection of a mate, especially an alpha, a mate was needed to live up to his full potential and to reach the pinnacle of power and strength. Without that, others would begin to doubt the Alpha's ability to live up to his reputation as a leader and protector, making him weak and leaving him vulnerable to more attacks.
As I didn't want to be targeted by him, my only choice was to run away. I was not sure if he would hurt me, but I couldn't rule it out. I knew it was better to run fast to the mountain for safety, but I stayed where I was.
