Scars To A Playgirl

...Invincible yet broken, she played a dangerous game... Tiana Almirez is an illegitimate child born into a rich family. She is a smart girl with a case of low self esteem. Or at least she was. After she forms an unlikely relationship with a third generation heir from her school, who is every bit fun and screams 'trouble', that timid girl is transformed into a confident and strong playgirl. Unknown to most people, Tiana actually lives a double lifestyle. To others, she's an invincible girl with a perfect life but alone, behind closed doors, she's nothing more than a broken and damaged girl struggling with her failing mental health. Lucas Williams is a teenager who has dealt with his fair share of mental health issues. When he is transferred to a new school, he can't help but immediately notice the popular girl whose eyes were so desperately screaming the very thing he had wanted the people around him to hear when he was at his lowest, 'Save Me!' What happens when Lucas feels the need to help this girl? Will she appreciate his help? Or will she hate him for it? What can Tiana do when the new boy at school suddenly threatens to tear down her perfect mask? Will she be able to keep her facade going? Or will she find herself falling in love with the very boy she regarded her archenemy?

Tiana's POV

I turned to the other side of my bed, my heart racing. I found it difficult to fall asleep with the events from earlier today still fresh in my mind.

I sighed and climbed out of my bed. It was no use laying down like that, I wasn't feeling sleepy. I walked to the door and opened it, peering out, I carefully made my way down stairs to the kitchen, trying my best not to make a sound as I didn't want to wake mom.

I walked into the kitchen and poured myself a glass of water and took a sip. I turned to the living room and images flashed in my head.

I remembered how Lucas leaned in towards me and how his fingers grazed across the corners of my mouth when he tried to wipe off some bread crumbs that had stuck there. The tingling sensation I felt right at that moment.
