Saved By The Alpha Who Turns Out To Be My Mate

"Not here, weakling! We're going to meet at the stream close to the pack's border in an hour, then you can show me what you got." He informed her. "Fine, challenge accepted! But if I defeat you, you're going to stop bullying me and leave me be!" Aurora gritted out. "Sure." He replied her. "The hatred I have for you will stop when you're no more. Over there, nobody will come to your rescue and I can finally tear you apart. Nobody disrespects Dante and go scot free!" Dante thought inwardly as he walked away. Aurora's life was supposed to be perfect as she was of a noble birth but unfortunately, it was nowhere near perfection. Her father was the beta, the second in command to the Alpha of their pack and her mother was one of the pack's strong warriors. As she was the first daughter, she was treated like a flower, sheltered from harm, sadness, disturbance and trouble, and was only exposed to pure joy, pure love, happiness and everything beautiful while growing up but her life wasn't full of roses, as she grew older! Growing up, she had believed she would be normal like every other werewolf in her pack and the entire werewolf community, but alas, she was strangely different. She was the only werewolf in her pack that had no wolf, an inner animal, thus she was treated like an outcast. While other werewolves got their wolves on their sixteenth birthdays, hers refused to show up. Not even when she turned eighteen. Not even when she met her mate!!!

My Heart

"Did she just call my mate her slave? How dare her call her that?" Elias growled furiously and the whole class went quiet! He was fuming in anger, ready to pounce on Tina there and then.

"How dare that lowly, ugly looking, good for nothing shewolf treat our mate like she is beneath her? She must be taught a lesson! Even all those seated, listening to her calling her a slave and watching her treat her likewise need to be dealt with. Does she have an idea of whose mate she is treating that way? Such disrespect? Her slave?" His wolf snarled.

"A slave, really?" Elias asked again and scoffed. Then he walked up to where the girls were seated, menacingly. He was seeing red, already.

"Who made her your slave? I ask, who says she is your slave? How would you say she's your slave? How dare you? Do you even know the meaning of the word you just used? How did she become your slave?" He bellowed and even the usual very composed Tina was a bit shaken, under his close scrutiny.

"Excuse me, what are you ... " She began nervously, but stopped to regain her composure before continuing.

"Erm, Elias, can we calm down and get this right? Why are you this concerned? I mean, this shouldn't be any of your business. We're classmates and we're just catching fun. Whatever that is happening is between my classmates and I. I do not see how that concerns you. It shouldn't be your business. How we choose to catch fun or play games shouldn't be the business of our teacher. It's something we have been doing since anybody can remember!" Tina stated, feeling shocked at his reaction. She could see he was fighting to keep his calm and not lose control. He looked like he could shift into his wolf any moment.

"Of course, It is my business because... " Elias quickly stopped himself before he could blow his cover. He saw the bewildered look on the students' faces and knew he had almost lost control.

"What are you doing, Elias? Get a grip of yourself." He snapped at himself, inwardly and quickly breathed in and out.

"You look like you're going to shift into your wolf any moment... What have we done or said to warrant that? Everybody here knows we're just catching fun. It's a game, isn't it?" Tina inquired, signalling at her friends to say something.

"Yes, everybody knows it's a game. Everybody in the class, even the school at large, knows that. We played a game and she lost." Gracie chipped in, blinking her eyes and averting it from Elias gaze, fearfully.

"Yes. It's a normal thing that happens when a person lost in a game." Clara also added nervously, twirling her fingers and looking up at the ceiling.

"Did you just say it's a game? Is that so, Aurora?" Elias faced Aurora and inquired.

"Yes, actually it is." She said too quickly, which made Elias raise his brows at her. She cleared her throat nervously and continued, "I'm not being forced to do anything. We played a game and we made a bet. I lost so this is my punishment for losing. It's nothing serious. You don't have to be so worked up over it." Aurora quickly explained to him.

"Punishment? I don't think I like the sound of that." Elias' wolf seethed but he blocked him, as he knew he had to be in control and not let his wolf be in control to avoid a disaster.

"Punishment? That's too big of a word to use anyhow. I seriously don't think you people are in any position to punish one another." Elias maintained, feeling and looking a bit calm as he had blocked his wolf.

"It's not as serious as you are taking it, Elias, I promise you." Tina quickly said.

"How I wish Elias would just lose control and help me deal with those good for nothing bitches!" Katie muttered to herself, still standing akimbo at where she was.

"Are you sure, Aurora?" Elias asked her.

"Very sure." She replied.

"Oh, I see." He stated and heaved a sigh. He knew he had to let the matter go since Aurora maintained it wasn't as serious as he took it.

"Okay, guys, I'm sorry if I have scared you all, by overreacting. I actually have a terrible experience with that word 'slave', I hate hearing it, especially when it's being used for a person. It sends me over the edge. I hate it so much. Actually, I have lost someone because of it." He lied through his teeth.

"Oh!" The students gasped in unison.

"Yes, so I tend to react immediately whenever I hear it." He stated.

"Oh, my love, I'm sorry I traumatized you with my choice of word. I assure you, it's really not as serious as you took it." Tina said.

"It's fine." He replied her.

"Come here, let's help you calm down." Tina said and took his hand, trying to lead him out of the class.

"No, it's really fine. I'm calm now." He protested.

"No, you are not. Please let me make sure you're really okay. You almost lost control to your wolf. You were so close to shifting, earlier. Let's go help you calm down very well, my love." Tina insisted, leading him out of the class. It took all Elias' will power not to push her off. As he left the classroom, he stared at Aurora for a moment, then left.

"My love? That phrase is becoming disgusting to my hearing. There's no one in this world that, that bitch won't use the word for. Acting all sweet and innocent yet has a very dark heart. So fake! It's becoming disgusting, ewww!" Katie, who had walked up to stand beside Aurora, faked a shudder as she talked.

"Why the heck is she holding his hand tightly like that? And where exactly is she taking him to? What does that annoying, two-faced girl think of herself?" Aurora gritted at the duo's retreating steps. Seeing Tina holding Elias with no care in the world as if he belonged to her, was making her really angry even though she had no explanation for it. But she kept having this feeling of her heart been squeezed any time she sees them together.

"That bitch is seriously getting on my nerves ... " Aurora muttered as she hit her chest to feel her suffocating heart. "why all this?" She sighed.
