The next day, I woke up without much trouble. I was a night owl in my past life, so I wasn't complaining about the half-sleep situation I was in.
I opened my [Status Window] to check my stats and level.

Nothing was out of the ordinary. When a player reaches Lv 10, they need to choose a class for their character, and I was close to Lv 10. Most people choose their class based on which playable character they are playing, but I didn't know what would be best for me. I decided to put that thought aside and move on.
There were many things besides the quests that I needed to do. I wanted to finish everything I could in Adelo and never go back there.
I used some scouting tips and found some slimes to kill. Slime hunting became a little difficult since I didn't use any health potions, but I managed to do it after all.

It took me some time to find the Quartz Dungeon. The entrance of the dungeon hadn't changed at all. I felt nostalgic at the dungeon entrance.
[ Cautious: D-grade Dungeon ]
A screen appeared in front of me, warning me about the dungeon. I knew my level was far lower than what I should be, but I didn't back down. A mixture of stress and excitement wrapped around me as I entered the dungeon.
[Dungeons] have their own unique types such as: Tower, Artifact, Colony, etc. The one I entered was a cave-type [Dungeon], the most common type. The walls were covered with glowing grass that emitted a tiny light. I moved cautiously in the dungeon.
Finally, after wandering around for a while, I stumbled upon what I was looking for. A pack of 3 lizards stood in a somewhat large room. I hid behind a rock to do a [Save] before confronting them.
[ Skill "Save & Reset: Save" Activated ]
[ 987/1/4 6:59, has been saved as the new Checkpoint ]
Quartz Lizards had a huge advantage in speed and defense, and their one-meter bodies, which were small and hard to hit at high speed, gave them a significant advantage in combat. I, on the other hand, didn't have a single skill, not to mention my low stats. But I had an advantage, and that was pattern recognition.
As a pro gamer, understanding monster patterns was crucial in fighting them, especially when hunting high-level monsters. At first, I thought that was a nerd's job, but later I realized I was the foolish one. Now, I could proudly say that I knew more than enough about monster patterns.
I reached for my sword and drew it. I began to observe the attacks of the lizards. Although I knew how to deal with them, my attacks weren't reaching them due to my low speed, but I didn't stop. Each time I swung my sword, I could sense the end of the battle approaching. I wasn't scared of losing since, with a simple word, I could [Reset].
After a not-too-long battle of dodging and resetting, I finally slayed the lizards. Huff—the corpses began to vanish as the items appeared.

"Wow, it looks like I'm a bit lucky today," I said.
Just like in any other game, drop rates were a part of this one. For example, after you hunt down a monster, there is a 100% chance of getting a core of the same rank as the monster. The drop rate for Dasia Quartz was about 25%, which made me wonder since I acquired 2 Quartz by hunting 3 lizards.
I put the Quartz in my [Inventory] and proceeded to hunt some more. I stumbled upon a pack of 2 lizards that were no different from the previous ones. I used [Reset] twice since I didn't want to risk my life. Doing all the work was annoying, but I didn't complain, as I was used to it.
Only God knows how much I played [Doomed Fantasy] after dying repeatedly, so I had basically numbed myself to restarting. Thankfully, I didn't need to start all over again, which made it bearable.

[ You may now choose between the following Classes:

Classes were something that provide players with sets of skills related to them. For a Non-Player Character, these classes were pre-set and couldn't be changed. But a player could choose their class however they want. Most players choose their class based on their character's Special Skill, but my Special Skill wasn't one that fit into any category.
I needed to choose a class that provided the most strength for me in the future. I knew many things about classes and how to advance them into higher-level jobs. I stared at the screen in front of me, deep in thought… until I remembered something important.
147… you may ask what that number means. The company that made [Doomed Fantasy] was overwhelmed by players and uploaded 147 novels based on the game's characters on their website… for free. Each novel explained a character and their backstory. I read all of them more than three times, and over 70% of my knowledge about the game came from those novels. Among those novels, I found the answer to my question. I didn't know what took me so long to decide since the answer was obvious.
"I choose Classless."
[ The Class "Classless" has been chosen as the Player's Class ]
Classless is one of the most useless classes that someone could choose. By choosing Classless, you completely block your path to learning many skills and class-exclusive properties. Of course, I knew that as well.

Although I didn't have any class skill that allowed me to gain skills by using it, with Classless, I could learn any skills without any problem. Of course, even knowing everything about [Doomed Fantasy] wasn't a safe choice for me to pick Classless… until I got [Save & Reset]. With my special skill, I could test out many outcomes. I could get what I wanted without any problem, as all I needed was a little bit of power and a lot of determination, which I had in abundance.
It was mesmerizing to see my progress. The titles looked the same as the ones in the game, and I was okay with it. Lastly, I checked my [Status Window].

"It looks like I'm ready to some extent."
All [Dungeons] have at least one boss monster. By defeating the boss monsters of a dungeon, you could clear it, and a cleared dungeon won't respawn the monsters for a long time. If a dungeon is left alone for a long time without being cleared, it will burst, and all the monsters inside will go berserk and destroy everything outside the dungeon.
It took me no time to find the boss room. Without being noticed, I took a glance at its appearance. Unlike the normal Quartz Lizards, which had red quartz on their backs, this one had blue quartz.
