Save & Reset

What would you do if you knew everything? Every possible outcome? It was like that for me... in an incompletable game. What do you think I did after I woke up and found myself in that very game with a Special Skill? ... In summary, I did the unthinkable. "N-no way, he killed the Plague Dragon? H-how is that possible?" Corpses of many warriors were scattered, as I was standing proudly on top of the Plague Dragon. It took me more than enough time kill this creature. I lost many things. "This isn't perfect... but it could be." "What are you talking about?" "Um, Nothing. It's been a pleasure to meet you here, but I need to [Reset]." Mana Dungeon

[ You have brewed a "B-grade Healing" potion ]

[ Level up ]

After a long time of brewing, I managed to get some good potions that I wasn't expecting to obtain. I poured those potions into the empty bottles of Slime Liquid and stored them in my [Inventory].

I looked at the sky; it was getting darker, but I was too excited to think about sleep.

I took a step toward the magical written wall and touched it lightly. The mana inside the wall tingled my hand a little and gave me a warm sensation. My surroundings then filled with mana and a glittering sight.

If I didn't know anything about mana, I would call it the kindest form of energy.

[ Do you wish to teleport to "Mana Crevice"? Yes/No ]

I straightened my head up, softened my voice, and said, "Yes."

I opened my eyes and found myself in an enclosed area. A dark cave was lit up by dim vein-like blue lights that were all over the walls and ceiling. By [Mana Sense], I could feel the strengthened mana in those veins, so I could quickly tell that those were mana ores.

The cave was silent, and no voice could be heard. I was quiet, too, to avoid attracting any attention.

I wasn't the first person to find the [Mana Crevice] Dungeon (credit to TofuBreadMan), and I was kind of disappointed in myself since I could have found it if I had looked a bit more. To enter this dungeon, one needed to be at least a 2nd Class [Mana Mage] with a high stat in mana… and, of course, AT LEAST.

I was nowhere near being a 2nd Class [Mana Mage] since the only [Mana Sense] was the skill, and since advancing to 2nd Class required being Lv 100, I had nowhere near enough points in my magic… so why did I do that? Well, it was because of this:

"[Save]"

There was no way of not clearing this dungeon, thanks to the [Save & Reset] skill, but there was a question that needed to be answered:

"How long will it take?" I said, smiling at the journey in front of me.

Mana Crevice Dungeon was a layered cave dungeon that went to the top as you progressed. The closer you got to the top, the more you would feel the difficulty.

I originally wanted to [Save] when I reached a more difficult layer, but I decided not to do that since I didn't want to take the risk.

Boing-! As I was walking ahead of myself, I began to hear some strange noises. I quickly stopped walking and crouched in a corner since I knew what those noises came from.

Mana Slimes were a bit rare in [Doomed Fantasy] since they would only appear in places with the highest amount of natural mana. Mana Slimes were sold for a high price due to their compatibility with [Alchemy] skills, but they were also hard to catch.

Mana Slimes couldn't be seen by the naked eye, and a Mana Detection-type Skill was required to catch them. Of course, this wasn't the only way since they also had the most annoying ability. A Mana Slime couldn't be slain by normal means since their whole body was considered their core, and once split, it would turn into two slimes rather than being dead.

The easiest way of getting past the slimes was avoiding them, and that was what I was going to do.

By [Mana Sense], I could sense the slimes' presence, and I could tell that there were more than two slimes in the room, but I couldn't tell the exact number since, just by looking, I couldn't see anything.

[ Skill "Flash Kickoff" activated ]

I quickly ran with a flashing start toward the pathway beyond the slime room. Along the way, I sensed that I caught the attention of one of the slimes, which wasn't that hard to deal with.

After I got far from the slime group, I stopped and heard the sound of the slime that was following me. I wanted to at least take down a slime and collect its liquid for a later project. After it reached me, I began to attack it non-stop. Squash-! A Mana Slime, although D-grade, lacked any actual fighting capabilities, so all I needed to do was to slash it until it couldn't regenerate.

Slash- And after a solid 30 minutes of just cutting the air, I was able to get what I wanted. I stored the liquid in an empty bottle and placed it in my [Inventory].

I knew that the dungeon was going to be long, so I decided to just move on and avoid fighting as much as I could. I avoided every slime and made my way to the dungeon boss room.

[Mana Crevice], just like [Balthazar Remnant], was a three-floor dungeon that you were required to clear in order to get out of the dungeon, but unlike [Balthazar Remnant], [Mana Crevice] had unique monsters and boss monsters on each floor that got progressively harder and harder to beat.

On the first floor, I was confident about being able to defeat the boss, so I wasn't worried.

I grabbed two bottles of purple and yellow-colored potions out of my [Inventory] to use them as soon as I entered the room.

The yellow one was a [D-grade Mana Suppressor], which was really hard to make due to the lack of materials and my skills, but I managed to create one, especially for the first-floor dungeon boss.

The purple one was a [C-grade Poison of Confusion], which I made with some of the herbs that I found in the Nova Deep Side as a medium. I wasn't expecting it to turn the potion into the Poison of Confusion, so I was grateful. I also made two of them just in case.

With my trusted sword in my right hand and the two potions on my waist, I entered the boss room with a fearless look. The boss room was a bit brighter than the cave, thanks to the extra mana veins. The room was big and spacious, and there were a lot of pillars in the room.

I was looking at my surroundings while focusing my [Mana Sense] to get a grasp of what I couldn't see, and I found the boss monster.

The boss seemed to be a big green slime. There were a lot of green slimes in [Doomed Fantasy], but I knew which type I was looking at due to my previous tries in my past life.

Acidic Slimes were a bit of a hassle to fight inside a dungeon. They could dissolve most things on contact, and if acidic enough, they could melt a body easily. In special circumstances, when an Acidic Slime spawned inside a place full of mana, they would start eating other monsters and dissolving their bodies, leaving only their cores. The dissolved monster cores then turned into the Slime's core to balance its size. These slimes were called Elite Acidic Slimes.

The slime in front of me was one. It had at least 15 cores in its body, which meant that I needed to break every single one of them in order to pass the boss monster. Of course, I knew that beforehand, so I wasn't worried about "not being able to do it." The thing I was worried about was overusing my resources on the First Floor.
