"Who are you?" Caroline felt her heart break. She felt hurt, betrayed, pain, and anger towards the man in front of her. "Who...are you?" Her voice started to break. The man sighed deeply. He stared into the eyes of the person he loved the most in his life and whispered. "I am your Harvey-" Caroline pushed him but failed to make him budge. "Harvey would not lie to me this much." every word was filled with hurt. The man held her in a tight hug that prevented her to escape from his arms. "I have relied on you for so long. I followed what you said and learned everything that I know." She sobbed. "You know me...but I do not know you." The man held her even tighter. "I am still the one who loves you with all my life. Please, don't leave me." She felt helpless. "Was I just a doll that you carry around? Was I a toy that you groomed and played with?" She gritted her teeth. "Was I just your little doll?" She whispered in disbelief to her own realization. "A little doll that you toyed with." The man shook his head as he hugged her even tighter. Meanwhile in the depth of the oceans, a war is brewing and a new heir will rise. A young merman named Kosair roams the human world to stay away from his duties. However, as the war draws near and threatens the whole ocean, it triggers a fire inside him. As it is written by Destiny, he'll fulfill the role as the heir and fight for the ocean and its people. As they find each other, Destiny intervenes. Who's Destiny? The sirens tried to find his identity for centuries and finally, will they be able to find him? Part 57: What you get

Caroline's POV

I pout as Harvey pats my head. "I'll be back in a short while, okay?"

"Bring something to eat when you get back!" I yell as he gets in his car.

"I will!" He yells back.

I smiled as the car slowly was out of my sight. He was so annoying when he was pushing me to watch a lot of horror movies.

I get back in the house and turned on my phone. As I scroll through my feed, Briana posted a picture of her in a hospital gown as she gets ready for surgery. I sighed. I didn't get to see her leave a few hours ago.

I did the laundry and started to fold the clothes when there was a knock on the door. "Who could it be?" I grumbled as I put away the clothes.

I fixed myself and answered the door. I opened it to reveal Ruby.

My smile turned into a frown. I never want to ever see her ever. She's a bad person but still I can't refuse her if she needs help. How joyous.

I sighed as I looked at her and begin to ask "What brings you-...here?"

3rd POV

Olivia comes into view and looks at Ruby. "Take the money and leave." She revealed a stack of cash in front of Ruby.

Ruby snickered. "Being able to hit her and knock her out was my pleasure. The experience way payment enough."

Olivia had a scared look on her face as Ruby walks away laughing. She knew that Ruby hated Catoline. That's why she picked her to knock Caroline out.

"I'm sorry, Caroline." Olivia said as takes a sharpened pink pearl from her pocket. Kosair shed a tear after he broke up with Caroline and it was her only chance to save him.

Olivia crouched down and turned Caroline to her side. She positions the sharpened pearl at her back and begins to write "Destiny". Every letter was bloody but Caroline was out cold since she hit her head against the doorframe.

Olivia deeply felt bad for her but she really just wants to save her son.

after she carved the word "Destiny" on Caroline's back, the letters glowed in faint white then vanished but the blood was still there. Olivia then realized there was another trickle of blood coming from Caroline, it was from her head.

"Oh my word! No..." Olivia was about to pick her up when a familiar voice calls out from afar. She sprinted to the side of the house and hid behind a thick hedge.

"My love, I'm home!" Harvey's voice was cheery and excited but when he reached the door and saw Caroline on the floor with her own blood, he froze but quickly dropped to his knees and cried, cradling the unconscious Caroline. "Why...would they do this to you?" His hurt words made Olivia's heart break. She wanted to get of of the bushes to help and confront Harvey but...her heart stopped beating.

Olivia now believed that Harvey is Destiny. Only destiny can stop siren's hearts. She leans on the ground, desperately not trying to make a sound. if she would be discovered, he would kill her on the spot.

When Destiny is upset, he stops the hearts of sirens around him for a brief amount of time.

Just before Olivia was about to pass out, her heart started to beat again. She took in a breath of relief as she hears the panicked Harvey running inside the house.
