No Cheesecakes?!

"YOUR HIGHNESS!"

Several servants faltered as they halted, ragged breaths falling past their drying lips. Glistening sweat trickled down their foreheads, staining the collars of their pristine attire in clumps. They never expected the young princess to suddenly be so. . .athletic.

Princess Harris Cleo Sappherine was, apparently, not quite a runner nor did she own tight muscled legs or steady feet. She was clumsy.

Hellbent clumsy.

Imagine the servants' surprised faces when they saw her bolt by without tripping and falling face flat. Their jaws practically reached the floor, their eyes ready to pop out of their respective sockets. Hearts in verge of cardiac arrest.

Yep, she gave them quite a fizzling scare and electrocuting shock.

"B-blessings and glory to the sun of the Sappherinian Empire!" Maidservants simultaneously curtseyed. Though, quite stuttery and breathlessly as they were still in midst of recovering their breaths from the long run.

His lips pursed, incandescent sapphire-blue jeweled optics sternly averted towards poor maidservants' heads. Their anxious meter spiking up tenfold, knees buckling into a shake, throats dry as it bobbed eager for water. To say the least, they were terrified.

Terrified of facing the oftenmost deadly silent Sappherine king.

His Highness, King Elric was akin to an awaiting lion. Regal in silence, ferocious when confronted, sharp in thinking, authorative in mere sight and ambiance. The king's overall personality literally shrieked his title and superiority throughout the land. It wasn't a surprise to witness quivering servants in his presence.

As for the youngest Sappherine royal. Harris was quite dumbfounded at the sight. There were twelve maidservants in total— to which she counted whilst her esteemed uncle's attention was solely theirs to celebrate. And seeing all twelve of them with blown wide eyes, had her almost laughing.

Keyword: almost

The moment a faint puff that'd eventually cause a series of giggling laughter to erupt, made the king turn to face the younger. Freezing on spot, Harris felt her bloodline run cold— her own pair of silvered pools shaking in the slightest as she shared eye-contact with her late mother's older brother.

She urged her lips tight in a thin line. Yet she was failing as her body began to register the cold. Long had the adrenaline faded, therefore her system was slowly but surely reacting to its surrounding environment.

The falling snowflakes did nothing to ease her now obvious shivering. Her rattling teeth causing gazes to divert towards her petite silhouette. Small chubby hands fidgeting against the other, rubbing each other to form a subtle amount of heat. A very futile act in keeping herself warm.

King Elric was quick to address the situation before it worsened. Walking in hasty strides, he began ordering the mob of servants who had followed him akin to lost puppies begging for attention.

Albeit, in this case— they're by no means begging for the eyes of the king. They were concerned for the princess, and were on high alert as they listened to the king's commands.

"Someone bring the princess a hot beverage to drink. . .",

It went on and on and as his lips moved in every order, the maidservants started to disperse until they were no more. As for the king and the youngest lovely princess— the former used magic to teleport themselves within the cozy vicinity of the king's study.

There, they were greeted by a very much frantic Bonnie, who literally rushed herself with bundles of thick blankets upon hearing the maidservants noisily bustle throughout the kitchen area.

"Princess! Why did you went out!" Poor Bonnie was obviously in distress. Frustration boiled from within the depths of her stomach as she attended the shivering princess after she was placed on the couch by His Highness.

The fireplace screamed of heat in the midst of King Elric's magical act— as someone chosen by a Saint that manipulates fire. It was no difficulty for him to alter his usually warmth deprived study to a heated sauna in an instance.

At this motion, Harris' racking quivers went down till it went poof. She was still cold, however, to which prompted her in wrapping a thicket of three fluffy blankets in her lower form.

Sooner than later, the maidservants tasked by the king came knocking. They went in a line, trays to which contained the royal's requests, in hand. Harris' silvered optics shone in delight, her tongue salivating, as she eyed every piece of cookie, cake, scone, that were plastered in an appetizing manner on each individual plate.

What made her drool even much which highlighted her day, was a very captivating blueberry cheesecake. The apparent, apple of her eyes. Her beloved, most biased, ultimate cake choice of all time.

'The King of All Cakes! That was an exaggeration but. . . Anything for cheesecakes.' quoted Harris.

"Harrie wants the cheesecake," she peeped. Too focused on the cake of cheese and berries that she failed to witness her uncle's narrowed brows.

"The cheesecake comes later, Harris."

Harris had to mentally fall in a whirling abyss of realization, distress, and embarrassment. How could she have forgotten her most 'favored' uncle of all!

Well, King Elric was and is literally her only uncle that she knew of. She hadn't met any relatives in the side of her father's. Not that she'd care. . . Heck, she hadn't even known a single clue regarding her father's origins and whereabouts.

Harris grew without him.

As immediate as a lighting strike, Harris plastered her infamous weapon. Her cutesey puppy doe optics, full-on pouted small pink lips, and her likely puffed cheeks. It made her look like an actual chipmunk begging for nuts!

Surely her uncle would fall over her adorableness! No one could resist the lovable white Sappherine Princess!

Or that's what she thought.

"I wouldn't fall for such charms of yours, dear niece," King Elric smirked, amused at the show , whom his niece was hosting. He wouldn't fall for those, as it was a repeat of history itself.

The late Princess Erica often used that tactic to him when she was breathing, living. Witnessing the act from Princess Erica's only daughter made his heart wrench in an awful but warming way.

Her life was taken away from her by those wreched hearted Celestes.

His hand clenched unconsciously, knuckles turning white as he recalled the very last goresome scene of his young and only sibling. Stabbed countlessly by the heartless supposed crowned prince of Celeste.

Elric was a fool to think that he'd love hisndear sister. And he was disgusted at the fact that he trusted the man like he was his own blood, his own brother.

"No cheesecakes for three months for you," He chuckled, choosing to ease the unbearable tension that would sooner cloud the warm ambiance of his study. "Consider that a punishment for you."

"W-What?!" Harris gasped, shock. "No more cheesecakes? But. . . But!!,"

"No cheesecakes for three months." Elric finalized. In the end he chuckled in amusement as he watched her go and sulk in the couch— sweet little Harris, eyeing the glorious piece of cheesecake on the coffee table.

Yep, from head to toe, behavior and all. . . Princess Harris Cleo Sappherine, truly did resemble the late Princess Erica Clei Sappherine.

The princess known for an ending so unfortunate, brutally murdered by her one true love.

Not that Harris knew of that, though.

What's more important and vitally in need of recognition as of now was the fact that— Harris couldn't last for three months without a slice of cheesecake!

'NOOOOO!!!'
