Abandoned But Not Broken

"What a reprehensible and contemptible act! He fell in love while he was in the demon country for a year? And now that home wrecker is back to claim her prize? What about our daughters, our vows to each other! It is incomprehensible! How could he betray me so heinously, especially when it involves the monarchs of two different countries? Does he not realize how gravely this reflects upon me?" Lily exclaimed, tears streaming down her face.

"Sam, prepare my carriage immediately! I must inform Her Majesty of the circumstances," Lily commanded her security team. "Take me to the queen!" she ordered.

"Your Majesty, I apologize for the abruptness of my visit, but..." Lily began, her voice strong and determined.

"I was about to summon you. Here are some documents that our reconnaissance team in the demon capital has forwarded to us. Since this information is highly confidential, we have redacted the parts that are not for your eyes," the queen explained.

"Please enlighten me, Your Majesty," Lily requested.

"The mission assigned to your husband has been compromised. The soldiers under his command have gathered evidence that reveals he engaged in intimate relations with demonkind and subsequently fell in love with their princess. Regrettably, he has fathered a child with her and has abandoned his duties to the kingdom and his queen to raise the child with the demon queen. This betrayal not only violates the sacred vows of matrimony between you and your husband, but also the trust of the kingdom and its people. This egregious act of infidelity has caused significant harm to the integrity of the monarchy and the trust of its subjects."

Lily's expression remained unchanged as she read the documents. "I see," she said calmly, her voice steady and controlled.

"I am truly sorry, Lily. I know how much you loved him," the queen said, placing a hand on Lily's shoulder.

Lily nodded, acknowledging the queen's words. "Thank you, Your Majesty. I appreciate your concern," she said, her voice still calm.

The queen took a deep breath and looked at Lily with empathy. "I know this is a difficult time for you, but you must be strong. You are not alone in this. The kingdom and I are here to support you," she said, her voice warm.

Lily maintained her composure and nodded once again. "I understand, Your Majesty. I will do my best to be strong," she said, her voice unwavering.

The queen stood up and walked towards Lily. "Come here," she said, opening her arms. Lily stood up and hugged the queen, but only for a brief moment.

"I promise you, Lily, we will get through this together," the queen said, holding Lily tightly.

Lily stepped back and looked at the queen with a determined expression. "Thank you, Your Majesty. I appreciate your support. I will handle this matter with dignity and grace," she said, her voice strong and resolute.

The queen smiled, impressed by Lily's strength. "I have no doubt that you will, Lily. You are a true queen," she said, her voice filled with admiration.

"I am deeply disturbed by his actions towards me and our family. His selfishness has destroyed everything that we had worked so hard to create. Nevertheless, I am determined not to allow him to defeat me. My priority now is to focus on the most important things in my life: raising our daughters and ensuring their future success. I will instill in them the values of strength and independence that are so integral to my own character. They will not be taught to tolerate such behavior, but rather to understand that they can achieve anything they desire without the need for a man to validate their self-worth. I will strive to become a model of feminine fortitude and will not allow any obstacle to impede my progress. The success of Urigold will be my testament, and I will show him what he has lost. I will not let him defeat me, for I will rise above this adversity and prove that his presence is not necessary for my happiness." Lily shared with the queen.

The queen is in awe of Lily's strength and admires her character. "Lily, your unwavering strength and determination have been a source of inspiration to me. Your character is a testament to the values of fortitude and independence that I hold dear. I am proud to call you a friend and a member of my court."

Lily is humbled by the queen's admiration and expresses her gratitude. "Your Majesty's words are of great significance to me, and I am honored to receive such praise."

Upon being informed by the queen that she is to be granted the Urigold mansion by the embassy, Lily is taken aback. "Your Majesty, I am at a loss for words. Your generosity is overwhelming, and I am deeply grateful for this opportunity. I vow to put forth my best efforts to ensure the success of Urigold operations and to represent Your Majesty's interests with the utmost diligence."

Lily is enthused about the prospect of residing in the Urigold mansion with her daughters. "I am confident that my daughters will be elated to live in such a splendid abode. The opportunity to oversee Urigold operations from this location is a privilege that I shall not take for granted."

As Lily leaves the queen's castle and enters her carriage, she is consumed by a storm of emotions. She can barely contain her sorrow, her heart heavy with grief. Her breaths come in short gasps, her chest heaving with rage and frustration. Tears stream down her cheeks, her face contorted with pain. She bites down on her bottom lip until it cuts the skin, a small bead of blood welling up. She pounds the cushions of the seats of the carriage, her screams muffled by her hand. Her eyes darken and become red from all of the crying and the overwhelming emotions she feels.

Despite her overwhelming distress, Lily eventually falls into an exhausted sleep during the carriage ride home, the weight of her emotions too much to bear.

As Lily's carriage arrives at her mansion in the capital Sapphire, her guard Sam opens the carriage door and finds her asleep. He tries to wake her, but she doesn't stir. With great care, Sam carries her into the home and places her in her bed. One of the maids tucks her in, and Sam stands watch over her for a few moments before retiring to his own quarters.

Lily's daughters had already gone to bed for the night, and the mansion is quiet and still. The only sound is the gentle hum of the night breeze outside. Lily lies in her bed, her face still damp with tears, her breathing slow and even. For the first time in hours, she looks at peace.

As Sam stands watch, the maids gather in the kitchen, talking amongst themselves in hushed tones. They know that Lily and her daughters are going through a difficult time, and they all feel a deep sense of responsibility to help them through it.

"We need to step it up," one of the maids says. "We need to be there for them, no matter what."

The others nod in agreement, their faces set with determination.

"We can't let them go through this alone," another maid says. "We need to be their support system."

Sam overhears their conversation and nods in agreement. He knows that the maids are right - Lily and her daughters need all the help they can get. They are going through a tough time, and they need people they can rely on.

"Count me in," Sam says, joining the maids in the kitchen. "I'll do whatever it takes to help them get through this."

The maids smile at him, grateful for his support.

"Thank you, Sam," one of them says. "We're all in this together."

The next morning, Lily is up early and ready for the trip. She is dressed in a stunning red diamond-studded dress with a large sapphire necklace that sparkles in the sunlight. Her two beautiful daughters are dressed in matching dresses, their hair braided and tied with ribbons.

As they walk out of the mansion, Lily holds each of her daughters' hands tightly. She looks at them with a fierce determination, her eyes shining with a mix of sadness and hope.

"Are you ready, girls?" she asks them.

They nod, their faces serious but resolute.

Together, they board the carriage, and Sam drives them off towards Urigold. The journey is long and winding, but Lily doesn't seem to mind. She spends the entire trip talking to her daughters, telling them stories and singing songs. They laugh and play, their spirits high despite the difficult times they've been through.

As they approach Urigold, Lily's heart pounds with anticipation. She knows that the next few days will be tough, but she's determined to see it through. She looks at her daughters, and she knows that she needs to show them how strong a woman can really be.

During their journey, Camille and Dahlia, Lily's 7-year-old daughters, begin to ask their mom where their dad is. Lily takes a deep breath and decides to tell them the truth.

"Girls, your father has left us," Lily says, her voice steady. "It's not because of you. It's because he doesn't love me anymore, and he's started a new family in a different country."

Camille and Dahlia look at their mom with confusion and sadness. They don't understand why their dad would leave them.

"But why, Mommy?" Camille asks, her voice trembling.

Lily takes her daughters' hands and looks them in the eyes.

"Sometimes, people fall out of love," she says. "It's not anyone's fault. It's just the way life is. But we can't let that break us. We have each other, and we're going to get through this together. We're going to be strong and brave, no matter what."

Camille and Dahlia nod, their eyes filled with determination. They may be young, but they understand the importance of family and the strength that comes from sticking together.

"Okay, Mommy," Dahlia says. "We'll be strong and brave, just like you."

Lily smiles at her daughters, her heart filled with love and pride.

"That's my girls," she says. "We'll get through this together."
