29: A spark between us.

Even though Samus' mind had recovered from the alchemical work she had done on herself, some of her personality had been changed, or at least slightly enhanced. This could be seen in her eyes, which sparkled with curiosity as she smiled madly at the memories she now possessed.

"ENERGY IS MY BITCH NOW!" the girl shouted, spreading her arms wide as she began to laugh madly, the free energy of the universe swirling around her as beads of sweat trickled down her forehead.

It was hazardous what she was about to do, but important moments were symbolic of rituals, and she was about to perform another one because she might not find a better time to do it.

"I think she's still crazy," Cosmo said, causing Wanda to elbow him.

"Don't be an idiot, Cosmo, she's fine, right?" asked Wanda doubtfully, her eyes focused on Jorgen.

The Supreme Fairy stared at Samus' actions, and a slight smile came to his face when he realized what the blonde was doing, so much so that she started to laugh.

"There are always crazy people among humans, I never expected to see a 15-year-old like you. Samus Aran, you're the most interesting person I've met in humanity after that kid named Tesla," praised Jorgen, who then waved his giant wand as if he sensed something.

Ciri appeared in a greenish flash next to Jorgen, her eyes instinctively focused on Samus, seeing her normal while covered in blood, the fear she felt eased a bit, though she was still quite disturbed to see her current appearance.

"Samus, are you okay?" asked Ciri, trying to get closer to the blonde, but the intense pent-up energy wouldn't let her.

"I'M MORE THAN OK, I'M ON MY PEAK!" yelled Samus as she ran her hands over her face, collecting the blood that had stained it, and then began to spill it on the floor.

The silver energy began to turn a deep red, but instead of giving off a creepy feeling as one might think, it gave off a warm aura.

"What are you doing?" Ciri felt strange after asking this question, even though she was apprehensive about Samus, seeing the blonde immersed in her activities, she asked as she was used to.

Ciri had known Samus for five years and had already gotten used to the blonde's way of being, to her way of joking, to the state of concentration she got into when she concentrated on something. She got used to being around her, to asking her questions out of genuine curiosity, but what she wanted most was to hear her talk about whatever it was that fascinated her.

She was raised by Geralt and two witches, of course, she would notice Samus' small actions and feelings towards her, feelings that the blonde covered up in a lousy way. But she never saw her that way, she saw her more as a younger sister, and that's why she never had a problem taking an interest in Amy when she met her a few years ago.

Still, it might have been the recent 'adventures' they had in other worlds, making Ciri understand once and for all that she was no longer being harassed by the Wild Hunt as she had been before, that made the gray-haired girl see Samus in a different light.

Too bad the blonde was much younger than she was, which wasn't very encouraging for her, and what should have grown like a fire in the meadow simply dwindled to a tiny spark.

"Oh, I want to use the perfect moment of my enlightenment to enter one of the most interesting fields, life. I'M GOING TO CREATE LIFE, CIRI. Normally I would be against this, I hate creating conscious things like robots or IAS because I think it's a bad precedent.

But I cannot deny this perfect moment, the atmosphere, and my desires as an alchemist demand that I do this or I will not be able to do it for who knows how long.

Even if what you create does not germinate, what I will create would rather be a hollow egg... yes, it might take decades for something to emerge, but Ciri, THIS MAY BE MY ONLY CHANCE," the girl's words startled Ciri, Cosmo, and Wanda.

"This is dangerous! You can't play with life like that!" exclaimed Wanda, who felt that Samus' actions were too drastic.

"If Samus had tried this another time, I would have avoided it!" shouted Jorgen, attracting the attention of everyone but Samus.

"But she's using three important, irreplaceable elements for this event. First, she just blinded a truth, her truth, and it has to do with energy," the Supreme Fairy said, raising one finger, then another.

"Second, you have just assisted in the salvation of one of the universe's chosen ones. Every once in a while the universe produces special people, they are not unique, but so many things happen to them that make them unique. Timmy is one of them, at least one this time," this revelation caused Cosmo and Wanda to look in amazement at Jorgen, who looked back at them.

"Why do you think I've been so lenient with the brat? Besides, you had several chosen godchildren, like that unfortunate Crocker," Jorgen's next revelation made the two fairies uncomfortable.

They would have to admit that they were not good enough for the poor boy, and now he had become a deformed creature, following an obsession that would gradually lead him to his end. When they thought of that, they shivered a little, and then Jorgen held up the third finger.

"Third, fate. It takes a lot of Fate energy, usually found in tiny dashes of ethereal happiness, which this girl has inordinately high, though I don't know why," Jorgen finally said, to the astonishment of Ciri, who had been quietly listening.

"I know that! I'm only telling you this because you've proven to be reliable and I doubt you'll need this, but Samus has an amulet made of many elements that bring luck, but the main core is a seven-leaf clover," Ciri's words surprised even Jorgen, who looked her in the eyes seriously.

"Are you serious!!! Anywhere else, such a clover would be the treasure of a civilization or a priceless resource for certain powerful entities. But you're right, we don't need such a thing," the Supreme Fairy said, looking at Samus with much more respect.

The fact that the blonde had an object for which they would wage wars between civilizations and that she had turned it into an amulet that brought her so much luck, made her a respectable figure to him. Now, Samus would undoubtedly grow up to become an important figure like the girl named Ciri.

"Hey, I have an idea," Jorgen said, thinking of something that came to his mind and then looking at Ciri again.

"Girl, no, Ciri, what are your feelings about Samus?" At this question, Samus, who was putting the finishing touches on her ritual, turned red and almost distracted, if it weren't for the fact that her concentration was much stronger than before.

Ciri got a little nervous at the sudden question, but trusting the fairy, who had proven to be quite reliable even though they barely knew each other, she decided to answer.

"I don't know, if you had asked me a few months ago, I would have told you that I see her as a younger sister, if you had asked me a week ago, I would have told you that I have some strange thoughts about her, now... if she was three years older, I might flirt with her," Ciri replied, looking Jorgen in the eyes, she was no coward and would not shy away from her already exposed thoughts.

"Oh look, Cosmo, love~" Wanda hugged her husband, finding the whole scene very tender.

Cosmo, like the foolish man he was, made a pained face as he remembered again that marriage was till death do them part...they were immortal. But he loved his wife madly, he would do anything for her, even fighting, something he didn't like at all.

"I guess old Cupid did his job again," Cosmo joked, although it would be weird, Cupid didn't create love out of nothing, he just made people more sincere with their feelings.

Yes, that moment when Timmy stuck Cupid's dart in and let Tootie kiss him was proof of something much deeper than the toothy boy didn't understand because that's what he was, a 10-year-old boy.

"Well, a spark of love, my eyes have never fooled me, even if this isn't my subject, I still have experience. Hey Samus, would you mind adding Ciri's blood to your ritual?" the beefy fairy asked Samus, making the blonde blush furiously.

How could she not understand the consequences of such a thing!!! The resulting life would technically be a blood child between Ciri and her, one that would share her genes and it was even possible that it would inherit his or her abilities, or maybe something else would emerge, genetics was sometimes special in its mysteries.

"JORGEN! EXPLAIN THE IMPLICATIONS TO CIRI!" perhaps because she was in a very exalted state from her recent enlightenment, as well as being embarrassed, Samus couldn't help but keep yelling.

"Oh, right. That," Jorgen pointed to the inert red ball floating above a silver circle of energy that Samus outlined.

"It would technically become your and Samus' child, though it would only be an unborn being that would need the perfect environment to come into being. It could be many years before it is born," Jorgen's words made Ciri understand why Samus' face had turned tomato red, she swore hers too.

But without a word, Ciri drew one of her swords and slashed her palm. Her blood began to spill, forcing Samus to look into her eyes, and the two girls remained silent for a few seconds until the blonde nodded.

Jorgen used his magic to send the blood to Samus, as she could not leave the ritual circle, and then she added the drops of the crimson liquid offered to her, the strange glint in her eyes had calmed and there was something else in her gaze, one full of love. Perhaps it was only a small spark at the moment, but Ciri's actions were important to her.

It wasn't just the use of her blood to create life, it was the girl's unquestioning action that gave Samus more hope in her heart. At first, she had assumed that her crush was just that, a temporary emotion caused by hormones; she knew that Ciri wouldn't look at her romantically, at least not at first.

But this gesture was a small hope, she didn't care if she had to wait years, she could build something slowly, and if Samus was good at anything, it was building something, even if it took years.

Under his guidance, the ritual took place. The supreme truth she understood made her realize that this would be an important moment, for every alchemical work she improved, even if they were small notches. What she was about to do would give her a boost similar to the creation of T-Path, perhaps giving her a physique as powerful as Guts, something she envied.

"Let's create life, baby," Samus said with a slightly creepy smile on her face, not realizing that Ciri, who had accepted the somewhat conflicting emotions inside her, was now giving her a look that she would recognize because she was giving Ciri those looks herself.

Love always starts with a spark between people, isn't that strange?
