Fire in Old Town

Old Town was actually few broken walls of old castle on the hill. You could see it the best from high buildings of North part of City because Old Town was on North hill. Salt City was divided on North and South, divided by small Yellow river, divided by two sisters. North part belonged to older sister first child of Serpent family and South part belonged to younger sister the third child of Serpent family. Two towers sit close to river facing each other across the river. If one would carefully looked through window of one tower they could see what was happening in other. Those two buildings were known as two thrones of City. On the west side of City was corridor, District street known as no man' land through which both sister could pass but couldn't do business, in a way District belonged to Salt City' police department and was known to be safest part of City. The Old Town was peace land, and also sanctuary for both sisters, there is a story that long time ago Serpent family was royalty that lived in old, now broken castle.

Dona Serpent was sitting in her chair her back to huge, wooden table, long, bright red hair falling over back of the chair, green eyes focused on shadows of old castle on the hill. She was smoking as usual turning dark thoughts in her head over and over again. They say that Luna's Devil of Salt City because she doesn't hesitate, she hits where it hurts the most and she's quite a diva in her violence. She does things in grand, bloody way. Some could fool themselves in thinking that Dona was more peaceful and calm one. But if Luna was Devil Dona was actually Hades of Salt City, she's clam and final like judgment. She doesn't leave chances or loose ends. There was man kneeling in her office too, the fact that he was kneeling means that he didn't do his job well.

-You're telling me that you have no clue who this little shit is and Jack was under attack? -she asked in low dangerous voice.

-He's hiding well boss. -man whispered head hanging low.

-Hiding well in my City. -she growled. -Danny, when was the last time that we cleansed this City?

-B-boss… -Danny stuttered. -It was ten years ago when your family was attacked.

-Ah yes. -she said nodding to herself still looking through window. -That was the first mission I've led.

-B-boss… -Danny stuttered again but cut himself off when she jumped up from her chair finally facing him. He was her spider, man that was suppose to know everything that was going on inside and outside of City and he had no good, useful news for her. He knew that kneeling won't help him if she's really angry at him.

-It's time to do it again. -she smirked. -Get up you fool. I need you to work harder from now on.

Danny stood up, pale as wall as he was looking past Dona through window.

-W-war… -he stuttered and for a spy he really didn't know how to hide his fear.

-It's not war. -she chuckled. -It's just few well planned battles. I've done it before.

-The fries are burning in Old Town. -he said showing with his finger towards window with grim face like scene from bad horror movie.

-There will be no war. -Dona shook her head turning around again to look at fire in Old Town. -My sister's not stupid, she won't start war non of as can win.

-B-but the fire… -Danny tried but stopped himself seeing Dona' glare. There was no man strong and big enough not to fear Serpent sisters and Danny gulped in fear.

-She's summoning me. -Dina shrugged smirking suddenly. -And she calls me old fashioned. Go do your job.

With that order Dona left office putting on her leather glows as she waited for elevator. Parking was in basement of building and without thinking Dona went for her golden Hardly motorcycle. There was road through woods leading all the way to Old Town, it was their training ground in childhood. She drove all the way up by fast speed mind spinning with thoughts of what to do and how to deal with all the mess later. Dona lived her job and had nothing outside of this life. She felt it, felt how empty her life was but had no will to change it. Most of the time she was tired, simply tired of breathing.

There was another motorcycle parked next to castle ruins in bright red color. That color was curse of their family, the color Luna couldn't let go of and Dona couldn't let go of Luna. So both of them were stuck. She found Luna on one tower that was still somehow standing next to camp fire smoking, another bad habit she learned from Dona. To Dona' surprise there was young man leaning on one broken wall. He was pretty, tall, broad shoulders, sharp jawline, big blue eyes, soft brown locks of hair, Luna' type for sure. One look at his soldier posture made Dona aware of who this man must be. She lit one cigarette for herself smiling.

-Little Red. -she called coming closer and Luna turned around with glare.

-Don't call me that.

-What's this about? -Dona asked ignoring her protest.

-We don't play games. -Luna said dragging poisons smoke of cigarette like she needs it to breath, sometimes Dona thinks that it's not bullet that will kill them in the end. -At least not with each other, that was one of the rules even tho you know how much I love games.

-I know. -Donna nodded bit confused.

-I'm not here for shooting. -Luna said calmly. -Who ever is playing with us doesn't know us well. You'd never attack Jack' unite.

-I'd never attack your people period. -Dona corrected.

-I know. -Luna nodded. -I need something from you so I'm here to make a deal.

-Oh. -Dona smirked her green eyes shining. -I'm all about making deal with the devil.

Leonardo shivered on those words remembering his own deal. Remembering how absolutely confident Luna is in making her deals. Looking at them now it was amazing to him how alike and yet different they are. Same way in which they walked and talked with confidence, kind of confidence you don't see a lot. Same way they smoked with low hiss while sucking poisons air with passion. Same looks, same smirks. And yet where Luna was cold like snake seeking warmth Dona more predatory like a wolf giving foals impression of warm, easy nature. They were both dangerous so that one couldn't tell which one was more dangerous. He could imagine how strong they were together and couldn't understand why they fall apart when it was obvious that both of them still cared deeply for each other.

-Make your offer Little Red. -Dona said smirking, exited that she met her match.

-I need you to deliver person to me, alive not too hurt. -Luna said calmly still confident, sure in herself. She gave Dona photo of woman and Dona took it. -This person. And I need it to be as soon as possible.

-She looks simple. -Dona frowned looking at girl on photo. It was weird to Leonardo too that Luna was taking care of this, holding onto this promise first like her own world wasn't in mess and danger. -I'm guessing that she's in my territory if your askin' for my help.

-She's Panther' new toy. -Luna nodded throwing smoked out cigarette into camp fire and shrugging at frowning Dona without care. Dona didn't like Panther operating with drugs in Salt City but it was better if he was under control, which's why he was part of Serpent Empire so she could control drug products that are sold inside of city.

-And why do you need her? -Dona raised one perfect eyebrow in question giving that vibe of "don't try to bullshit me". -You better give me good reason to even talk to Panther. What does this girl has to do with all the mess happening in our city?

-She has nothing to do with this. -Luna shook her head not bothered by preaching in Dona' voice. Luna grow up with skill to tone out her sisters annoying nagging. -We just need her bone marrow she's Leo' ex wife or some shit. You know I love to take care of what's mine.

-I see. -Dona nodded smirking. -Devil has heart after all.

-So what will it take me to have your help? -Luna asked ignoring Dona' remark on her heart.

-Well this is really a lot to ask. -Dona smirked looking at her sister. -How about you come to my birthday party this year? It's gonna be same place like always.

-That's too much to ask. -Luna protested. She didn't like emotional moments with her sister it left her unable to do what she had to do. Dona just couldn't understand that Luna had plan much higher then what could be seen from a side. But sometimes she just wanted them back to be team again, to conquer together, to be unstoppable like they used to be. Before Dona got too broken to keep going on like this. Dona didn't see much hope in life anymore and when Luna couldn't give her hope she chose to give her challenge, anything that will wake her up from this half dead state.

-That's my offer Little Red Devil, take it or leave it. -Dona was still smirking. Leo thought how Dona' eyes where mostly dead when she came not at all burning green as Luna' but while she was challenging Luna her eyes came to life.

-Then it's deal but I'm not buying you a fucking present just so you know. -Luna huffed losing this battle and it almost looked unreal that she would let anyone win over her in anything but here it was Leo was witness to it. Dona just made Luna do what she clearly didn't want to do.

-By the way, I'm cleaning City after my birthday. -Dona said nonchalantly like it was nothing while leaving and Luna angrily throw a stone at her but wasn't actually aiming and Leo could hear Dona laughing all the way outside of broken castle.

-What now? -he asked looking at Luna with expectations. He didn't know where he should go, what he should do few hours ago he made deal with her by which she helps him with his son and he belongs to her body and soul. He still isn't sure what does it really mean but he made a deal now he'll live up to it.

Luna shook her head trying to gather her thoughts when her phone buzzed. She wasn't in mood to deal with anything and she wouldn't even read the massage if it wasn't from Arrow her best friend since childhood.

From Arrow: Get here ASAP. Old factory.

-Shit. -Luna cussed. Arrow wasn't one to call for her like that. She actually didn't like sisters bugging in her business but when she did call it meant something awfully serious.

-I have to go. -she said looking at Leo but it was like she wasn't really seeing him anymore. -C'mon. I'll give you lift to city then go see your son and rest some. I'll see you in the morning in my office then we'll talk about terms of your work.

He didn't like that, for some reason she going somewhere without him didn't feel right but he also knew that it was better not to challenge her on this. So he just nodded, he should go see his son anyways.

🎭🎭🎭

District street was on west side of city, it was mostly industrial zone with family houses of people that worked at those factories. Nobody actually knows this but when two sisters were sharing City among them there was one more person there. Arrow head of police department in this cursed city. She asked for weakest and most suppresed by society to be at least free from mafia affairs which is how she got this District street as gift from two sisters. It was the only place where people from mafia could come but couldn't operetta at all. Mistake of doing business in District street was punished by death which is why Arrow was so shocked to see this.

It was not excluded of crimes happening here even murder wouldn't surprised her but it was never done by mafia. This shit tho, this shit couldn't be done by simple people that live here. First of all Arrow was sure that this was dealing drugs went bad case so that in itself was unusual. Nobody's allowed to deal drugs here of any sort. Heavy drugs were banned from whole city but even easy drugs were forbidden in District street. Boy that was laying in pool of his own blood with black backpack still firmly held by his dead hands wasn't supposed to happen. Few pills scattered around his body were obviously not easy drugs and they weren't supposed to be here. So she couldn't think of anything but calling Luna to come here instantly. Drugs were Luna' game and she had to know what was going wrong for this to happen.

She was still squatting next to dead boy when she heard loud noise of motorcycle getting closer then stopping few feet away. Luna jumped off of the red beast already frowning black leather glows cladding her hands.

--What's the matter? -she asked looking briefly at Arrow.

-I was hoping you could tell me. -Arrow scoffed. Her long blond hair was tied into ponytail, pale blue eyes shining with mirth. Her beautiful face wasn't smiling and Luna was never happy to see that.

-By the way I don't like your new boyfriend. -Luna said completely off the topic but this was Luna so Arrow wasn't surprised at all.

-Where did you get idea that I have a boyfriend? -Arrow scoffed again. She had history of bad boyfriends but this time she was sure it was different.

-You're wearing a necklace. -Luna said actually examining body on the floor. -You don't where that shit unless it's from somebody important. Now both Dona and I know not to gift you that shit so it must be new boyfriend and he's obviously bad if he doesn't know that you hate wearing necklaces.

-Just because he doesn't know something doesn't mean he's bad. -Arrow protested hiding necklace with her hand. -I can start liking new things. It's pretty.

-Surely it is. He obviously has a test if he chose to date you but that's not my point. -Luna finally looked at Arrow again. -You shouldn't have to like things you don't like for any man. You should have told him that.

-It's my business. -Arrow got defensive then. Luna could be too protective and Arrow sometimes felt like she's losing control over her life do to Luna caring for everything. Like she couldn't live on her own. Like she wasn't capable of taking care of her business herself. She obviously wasn't going to tell that to Luna she had problem by saying things like that to people she cared for. And Luna was aware of this which is actually why she was so overprotective with Arrow.

-No need to get mad at me. -Luna smiled weakly. -You know I'll support you with any asshole you want to date.

-That's the problem why do you instantly assume that he's an asshole. -Arrow huffed. -Why can't you just believe that he's good person.

-When I meet him, do a background check on him and threaten him with horrible things if he hurts you. If he stays after that I'll believe it. -Luna said smirking.

-Just forget it. -Arrow huffed. -Tell me what happened here?

-From what I see dude tried to sell drugs got killed and robbed. He must be running for really bad boss if he tired to protect goods even when facing gun. Poor kid.

-Really Sherlock?! -Arrow was huffing in anger now. -You think I can't see that on my own. What the hell happened, you're suppose to overlook drug business and as far as I remember those street were off limit.

-First of all this is not coming from my side if anyone dared to do something this stupid it would be Panther and he's Dona' problem. Second of all if you didn't notice there's outsider in City and everything's going ruckus. Third Dona's about to cleanse City after her birthday so everything's gonna go back to normal.

--The hell she is. -Arrow almost yelled thankfully street was empty. -I've read files on last time she made the cleaning, there were bodies everywhere. I'm not letting her do that again.

-But you're forgetting two things tho. -Luna was still smirking unbothered by Arrow' anger. She was scary alright and she was awesome cop but on the end of day she wasn't one ruling this City.

-And what's that? -Arrow challenged.

-First we had ten peaceful years thanks to that cleaning and second this is Dona we're talking about she never asks for permission to do something.

-And you're forgetting that last time she did this your family left. -Arrow bite back unnecessarily harsh just because she knew she couldn't do more but hurt them with her words.

-Exactly. -Luna was still smirking like Arrow' words didn't hurt her but if it was anyone else they would already be one more dead body on the floor. -If that didn't stop her then what can?

Arrow wanted to fight more but it was obviously Luna' goodbye for tonight, she waived at Arrow jumped back on her motorcycle and drove away. Arrow couldn't stop her or hold her anywhere anymore. Luna changed a lot from kid she used to be but she still smirked fiercely while hurting that's how Arrow knew she could still get to her. That's how she knew that those words were uncalled for and she should apologize, except Luna doesn't do apologies, she shrugs it of if you matter and she punishes you on the spot if you don't matter. Arrow sighed she wasn't planning on fighting any of sisters tonight much less did she like attacking the wrong one.
