School Dayz pt.3

Soren's P.O.V

While Laurence sprinted with me on his back, I noticed somebody was following us. I took a good sniff and smelled...Magic? A spell specifically. Was a witch following us? No, it was something different. This time I focused on my sense of sound. I heard the crunching of leaves, made by an abundance of legs. The chances of these wolves being part of this pack are slim but possible.

But if they were part of the pack, why would they opt to blend into the trees? Laurence did not seem to notice anything, the adrenaline getting to him. On my right, I noticed the rouge speed up and leap towards us. Before Laurence got the chance to notice anything, I stuck a branch in the wolf's way, blocking it from getting too far. My eyes turned green from the use of my powers. I continued to wrap the wolves in vines, hit them with branches, and make them trip over roots.

My hair slowly turned brown as I continued to use my powers. I could not leave the rouges here after they witnessed me using my powers. Hoping Laurence would not notice, I quickly grabbed onto a tree branch, using the momentum of my sudden stop, I swung myself onto the tree branch.

I watched Laurence run off into the distance. None of the rouges followed him as their attention was now focused on me.

Sakura's P.O.V

I left the classroom with a groan. Why was chemistry so long? It should have been an easy class for me since that was what my powers consisted of, but I never actually had to understand what made my power tick to use it.

"Are you okay?" Seth asked me. "A bit confused but nothing I cannot handle. I want to eat." Right on cue, my stomach rumbled. I blushed at the loud sound. Seth chuckled and grabbed my hand.

"Then it is a good thing that lunch is next." A smile plastered itself on my lips. We walked into the cafeteria hand in hand. After getting our lunch, which was an apple, steak, mashed potatoes, and juice, we sat down at a table near the window.

As we sat down a group of people I did not recognize headed our way. "Hey, Seth!" One of the guys shouted. There were four guys and two girls. A lot of people. The first girl had auburn hair and hazel eyes. A beautiful mix. The second girl had brown hair and chocolate eyes. Not as distinctive as the first girl but beautiful in her own way.

The first guy had dirty blonde hair and chestnut eyes. The second guy had pitch-black hair and silver eyes. The third had...Pink hair? Looking closer I noticed that it was dyed, unlike my natural color. His eyes were blue. The fourth guy had brown hair and light blue eyes.

"Seth what is going on?" he smiled brightly. "These are my friends." The friends I did not want to meet? I glared at Seth. "They have the same lunch as us." Yes, big chance of all his friends having the same lunch. I made my eyes into slits. "Okay, maybe I asked some of them to change their schedule."

"Seth!" I hissed. "This is the other part of my terms. You must meet my friends, but only during lunch. Just for 30 minutes, no longer." He gave me a small smile hoping that I would cooperate. I let out a groan. I wanted to get to know Seth more first, but if these were his terms then I had to follow them.

"Fine." Seth's friends sat down at the table. The two girls and the dirty blonde guy sat next to me, and the rest sat next to Seth.

"Oh my god, you are so pretty. Did you dye your hair like Noah?" I assumed Noah was the pink-haired guy. "Thank you, and this is my natural hair color. You are quite the beauty yourself." I said to the auburn-haired girl. "She is so sweet. I'm Kate." I smiled and waved at her. "I am Catalina." The other girl said.

"As you probably guessed, the pink-haired guy is Noah, the blonde guy is Logan, the brunette is Liam, and the black-haired guy who is always wearing a frown like his panties are in a twist is Lucas."

All the guys except Lucas smiled and waved. "I know this can be a bit overwhelming meeting us all at the same time,-" wasn't that the understatement of the year "- but we really wanted to meet you. Sorry about that." Catalina said.

I smiled. "It's fine. Seth wanted me to meet you guys anyways."

"Don't blame Seth too much, we badgered him. He did not have a choice." Kate spoke. "Hey, Seth said you had a sister. Where is she?" Liam asked. Catalina groaned. "Another girl you are willing to stick your dick in?" she rolled her eyes. "I was not asking for that reason I was just trying to make conversation." Liam scowled.

I started to squirm, uncomfortable with the topic. "Can you guys not banter right now?" Seth glared at the two bickering teenagers. "I am sorry about that Sakura." Seth gave a distressed expression. I shook my head. "It is fine. Besides, Liam asked a particularly good question that I would love to know the answer to."

I frowned and accessed the mind-link between me and Soren.

'Where are you?'

'Kind of busy here sis.'

'Doing...' my brows creased to a frown. 'Currently fighting off a couple of rouges.'

My eyes widened in surprise. 'More? How did they get in? The security here is not that bad.'

'I doubt their security planned for spell cloaked rouges.' Spell?

'I am on my way.' Just as I was about to get up, Soren spoke again.

'Don't. I have the situation handled. I used my magic on them, so I am going to call Shiraga to wipe their memory.' my frown deepened. 'That sounds messy.'

'Then it is a good thing you have a great cleanup crew. This entire situation is suspicious. Where are you now?'

'In the cafeteria with Seth and some of his friends. Isn't Laurence supposed to be with you?' Just as I said that I saw Laurence outside of the window darting across the field that was outside the cafeteria. What is going on?

"Isn't that Laurence? I thought he was supposed to be with your sister." Noah voiced the same concern that I was having. "Is everything okay?" Seth asked. I was starting to get a headache. This was too much at one time.

'I couldn't be more grateful to be fighting off rouges.' Soren's voice brought me back to our mind-link.

'Are you sure you do not need help?'

'I have everything covered. You enjoy hanging out with your mate. I will tell you everything once I and Shiraga clean up everything here.'

After that sentence, Soren closed the mind-link. "Sakura," Seth said, his voice full of concern. My frowning did not help with my headache in the slightest.

"Everything is fine. She told me that Laurence ran off and left her behind, so she is walking back." I spoke. It was not a complete lie. Laurence did return without her. How was I going to explain the real situation to them?

"That doesn't sound like Laurence," Lucas spoke for the first time. "I am going to see what is wrong." Kate got up from the seat with a troubled expression. If she talked to Laurence, it could ruin my entire story.

"She said everything is fine. Let's eat our lunch please." This was getting too hectic for my liking. Laurance appears without Soren, cloaked wolves, Shiraga erasing their memory and I have not even thought about what we are going to do with the rouges.

We cannot say Soren fought them on her own after we displayed great weakness in our combat test. And how were we going to explain how we spotted them when nobody else did?

'I can already tell you are stressing Sakura. Trust me when I say me and Shiraga have everything handled. Live out your high-school fantasy and let us deal with this.'

"Laurence is my brother If something made him take off without your sister then something is wrong," Kate spoke. Her brother? Great. I cannot stop her from seeing her brother.

I tried to calm down and listen to Soren's words. I must trust that my family knows what they are doing. I gave out a long sigh. "Okay." Kate ran out of the cafeteria.

"I have heard of it but have never seen it before," Noah spoke, breaking the silence that consumed the table.

"What?" I asked. "Mind-link between non-pack wolves. A bond that is so strong that you do not need to be initiated into a pack. It just comes naturally. You and your sister must be exceptionally close." He is right, we are. I am close to all my siblings which is why I must trust them right now.

A smile replaced my frown and I relaxed a few of my muscles. "We are."

"What was your life like before you stumbled across Seth?" Logan asked. "It was pretty repetitive and monotone. Same old same old."

I continued to talk with Seth and his friends until lunch ended. We laughed and had fun. For the first time, I was not worried about the world or its balance. Just laughing.
