Chapter 11

Caleb was staring at the two completely frightened children in front of him. The moment they saw him ripping up the foundation like it was nothing at all their fear grew to the point that tears began to form around their eyes.

At this time Caleb did not know what to do in this situation, he decided to sit in front of them and wait. The little girl had closed her eyes, far too scared to watch while the boy instead stared at him trying to look as brave as possible even though Caleb could clearly sense that he was terrified.

Several seconds passed and the girl ended up opening her eyes to meet the red and ardent gaze of Caleb who hadn't moved an inch. The two children now had an expression mixed between fear and confusion. He could clearly kill them like they were ants and yet he still hadn't done anything, he just sat there watching them.

Calec could feel the change in their emotions but at that moment a roar sounded, he then turned his head and could see beowolfs and ursas coming out from everywhere.

The two children who had calmed down slightly were again taken by a wave of fear but were surprised when the huge grimm who was sitting next to them stood up and began to growl in the direction of the other grimms.

Seeing this, Caleb understood that these Grimms were attracted by the fear generated by the two children which until then had been hidden by for some reason that he did not know but now they had spotted them and things were going to get more complicated.

Suddenly, without warning, a beowolf appeared from behind the children and jumped on them. The two children protected themselves by reflex by putting their arm in front of them ready to receive the attack of the beowolf which does not come when caleb caught him in the air then crushed him on the ground before taking him in its two paws and tear him in two.

Once that was done the Grimms that approached began to growl more auspiciously at Caleb and surrounded him and the children. The two children who until then had remained seated on the ground got up and came to take refuge by instinct behind Caleb.

Caleb on his side was completely focused on the grimms that surrounded them, waiting for their next attack. The two children were looking worriedly at the grimms around them when the boy's attention was caught by a small wooden hammer on the floor. He bent down to pick it up then turned to the terrified girl. He handed her the hammer and the girl looked at him surprised.

"We must be brave!"

The little girl then looked at the hammer and took it in her hands before nodding.

An ursa charged at caleb but he raised his fist and brought it down on the grimm creating a crater in the ground killing the ursa instantly, at the same time two other beowolf rushed at the children but caleb turned on himself then hit them with his paw sending them crashing into a house.

He couldn't go on like this much longer, if he had been on his own he would have easily slaughtered all those grimms but in this case he also has to be careful with the children that he clearly wasn't going to leave the mercy of the grimms.

He had to quickly leave this place because he could hear more and more grimms approaching in the distance. Several grimms charged at the same time towards caleb who saw them coming and raised both of his fists in the air then hit the ground in front of him creating a shock wave which broke the ground causing the grimms to lose their balance.

The Grimms being destabilized, Calbe took the opportunity to turn to the children and get on his four legs to be at their height. The two children looked at him confused not understanding what he was doing, at the same time the grimms who were on the ground started to get up while roaring in annoyance.

Seeing this the boy took the girl's hand and placed it on Caleb.

"Climb! Quickly!"

The two children began to climb Caleb's back with the help of Caleb's fur, Caleb was relieved that they finally understood what he wanted and once they were well placed on his back he ran at full speed and left the village in no time. At this point he didn't have to worry that the other Grimms would keep up with him because he was way too fast.

He ran without stopping for a moment and entered the forest. Once inside he made his way through the trees while the children clung tightly to his fur so as not to fall.

After several minutes of frantic running he arrived in front of the cave he had found before going to the village. He entered it and lay down on the ground so that the two children could descend.

Once down the two children backed off and went to the opposite side of the cave leaving several meters of space between them and Caleb. He watched them retreat in fear but couldn't blame them after all they had just witnessed the destruction of their village and probably the death of people they knew by grimm just like him.

He turned his head towards the entrance of the cave and saw that it was getting dark, the best thing for him to do was to wait until tomorrow for things to calm down.

Several hours had passed and it was dark now, in the cave Caleb could hear moans coming from where the children were. He turned his head and could see them huddled together, shivering with cold and clearly tired after the day they had.

In the distance he could hear the cries of grimms which resounded in the night which made the children tremble in addition to the cold.

To his surprise he saw the girl with her orange hair get up and slowly approach him. He watched her approach without making the slightest movement so as not to scare her. When she was right next to him she sat down and snuggled up against his fur, Caleb could feel her little body shiver with cold, luckily for him he didn't have to worry about the cold because he didn't feel it anymore.

It didn't take long for the boys to come and sit next to him. Once the two children were installed he put his tail in front of them so that they could warm up a little bit.

It didn't take long for them to fall asleep, after the day they had just had, that's not very surprising. Now caleb had a new problem to deal with and it was to know what to do with these two.
